Great topic.

What I have seen here and learnt also from experiences like yours is that there are a thousand and one opportunities for business minded Nigerians across the country.

It is also a fact that the infrastructure is seriously lacking such as efficient communication services, good, accessible roads, logistics issues, proper storage systems, lack of technical know-how, insecurity, safe accommodation during transit and proper awareness on both sides of producers and consumers in growing wealth.

If we had the basic infrastructure and security in place, nobody would be idle in this country because the opportunities abound everywhere in Nigeria.

It's just calls for the political will and men of foresight to explore and tap from Nigeria's potentials and riches.

It's unfortunate that ours is a sad story 😞

Any subsidy removal increament for FG workers as being speculated.? It was speculated that all workers irrespective of their cadre or rank will receive additional 38k as transportation allowance to cushion the effect of petrol price increase pending when the new minimum wage will be out. I dont know what the strike aims to achieve......coz the government cannot keep on subsidizing fuel. Their strike is technically to increase minimum wage which will only apply to the government workers and corporate workers with the vast population still the same...

this thing is simple....the government needs money to keep running which at the moment the government don't have, cos over 90% of their earnings is spent on debt servicing....... therefore, subsidy must go!

im also a citizen feeling the pain oooo......but the truth nothing any body can do at the moment....the country has been terribly ran by successive administrations and we are now feeling the results of poor management....

In fact, i believe the worst is yet to come...talking from economic facts and figures without emotions......

Continue to give these useless people excuses

What has the government done to cut down governance?

In a situation where you removed subsidy you are buying 40billion with of suvs, allocated 70billion naira as palliative for yourselves and you say there is no money to run government?

Have they reduced the number of theirpolitical sides and convoys?. Infact, most increased them!..

See ehn! I want to use one bad word for you but let me just stop here before your left eye turns to the back of your head angry

Nigerians have been so badly and poorly led for ages that if their elected president buys and drinks pure water along the road, they will celebrate it and even compare it to the building of Intergalactic Space Stations!

The leadership bar has become so low that Mediocrity is the dream expectation of most Nigerians!

Imagine people saying that no matter how bad it gets, as long as Tinubu performs slightly better than Buhari, that would be more than enough for them! It's a crying shame!

No wonder they keep shoving propaganda down their throats!

You've encapsulated it all.

With the poor quality of people in this country at present, there is just no hope of turning the tide, sadly

One would think the ministerial list is the Holy Grail that will suddenly turn this suffering tide of the citizens around!

Just imagine the 'suspense' and drama surrounding the release of appointments of figureheads!

The way we glorify mediocrity in this nation is alarming!

I can't like this comment enough.

90% of Nigerians are mugus!

And that is why the country is as bad as it is and getting worse every day.

it's time the Islamic leaders do something to stop these needless killings, in the name of blasphemy, hence the various levels of government lack the political will to stop it.

You've captured the situation perfectly.

I'm glad to see one or two on here who are mature and reason very well.

I keep saying this, we are all products of our environment.

Those police officers are Nigerians, along with the thieving Politicians, the Cultists, fraudsters and many other forms of corrupt and irresponsible role players in our society.

They are not foreigners neither did they fall from space.

Charity begins at home.

If you want a civil, cultured and properly run society then start from your family, your homes, your friendships, your neighbourhoods, schools, offices, business places, campaigns, voting reasons, etc

Shun all vices, stand against corruption, unfair advantage, bigotry, etc, and espouse kindness, empathy, dignity, principles, hardwork and respect culture in your homes & outwards.

I bet you all these kind of stories will be phased out gradually and the society will metamorphose into the progressive, civilised one we all want.

Till then, it is what it is.

@Bolded, Keep using your car as is.
P0011 For your camshaft over advanced, I feel your camshaft variable valve timer is worn out or stuck. Replace your A/f and O2 sensor for the codes p1157, p0131 and p0141 to go

A/f = Airflow sensor (right?).

Getting the CVVT and O2 sensors may prove difficult due to my current location.

I don't know if you have them in stock?.

Car Talk / Re: Tell Us Your Car Fault Lets Assess And Fix Them by nitt: 12:56pm On May 20, 2023
Hi, I ran a scan on my 2005 4cylinder accord and these codes came up.

P1157 - Manufacturer Control
P0011 - Camshaft Position Timing Over - Advanced or System Performance Bank 1
P0134 - O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity detected Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2

The symptoms noticed are;
1. poor fuel economy.
2. leaking engine oil via the oil solenoid @ passenger side of engine
3. Random over cranking/hard-starting when starting engine.
4. Delayed gear shifts while driving.

Work done so far;
1. For P0011 code, We tried to stop the oil leak, cleaned the oil switch, reinstalled & the mechanic adjusted the timing but this just reduced the oil leak & cleared the code but it returned after short trip.

2. For the P0141 code, I bought an o2 spacer from a nairalander in Lagos, it was sent down to my location, was installed by the panelbeater, cleared the code but code returnned after short trip.

3. For the P0134 code, I checked the Sensor it is still connected.

4. For the P1157 code, I think it is connected to the other codes but not sure.

Kindly advise further.

Birniwa:

You honestly appear like a retard and ignoramus all at same time because you're simply provincial who has very little knowledge even about his surroundings.

Let me surprise and at same time, clear your illiteracy with some disturbing statistics. Hausa people dominate a percentage of 40% of Nigeria's 230,000,000 people. This roughly translates to over 90,000,000 Hausa people alone in Nigeria. In case you're Yoruba or Igbo, the numbers are 42,000,000 and 48,000,000 for Igbo and Yoruba respectively.

Out of those 90,000,000 Hausa people, roughly a little over half of them are educated. This means that only the educated Hausa people, are more than the entire population of Igbo in their entirety or Yoruba in their entirety (including their literates and illiterates). So owing to this fact, you're simply a f0ol to think that a Hausa an average man is not educated. Their literate ones alone outnumber the entire population of your tribe that's if you're even among the other two major Nigeria's tribes (Igbo and Yoruba)

Here in the North, Yorubas do nothing but simply vulcanizer and mechanic works. The Igbos sell nothing but majorly okrika and those cheap Chinese yards. Both the women of these two tribes do nothing but ashawo business. If you go to any brothel in the North, they are the only tribes you'll find there.

Finally, you need to travel to learn about the reality of things and stop being the ign0rant that you're about those realities.

Leave them.

What i realised is that ignorance and lack of exposure is very high amongst southerners.

Forget English most of them aren't aware of life beyond the borders of their state of residence
