Opoks all I'm saying is you guys should try to learn to live together. I didn't even go through all the postings. I just browsed through and I think I saw Kuwena say something like he's gonna take time to reply you word for word or something like that. And the next thing you know he replies, u reply and then the whole world starts hearing about different people's history and all that. I also think Alfaprime has clarified something about what was intended and what wasn't intended. As per my posting, all i did was advice the young man so he doesn't in the heat of the moment do things he'll regret later. So you think that's wrong or something? Anyway abeg just drop the whole thing, the sky's big enough for birds to fly without running into each other. This particular thread is more than big enough for you and Kuwena. You guys should eschew any bad blood that might still be hiding somewhere. AND THAT IS THE LAST I WANT TO SAY ABOUT THIS ISSUE PLS. @ Alfaprime, I don't think that's the idea behind making other people's money work for you. I think that's plain wickedness if it's like a colleague doing something like that but on the other hand if the person giving out the soft loan has nothing better to do with his/her money, no problem( U might actually be helping the person save it, if the person is a spendthrift) I think the person who knows what to do with the money can go ahead and take the soft loan as long as he/she pays back and doesn't inconvenience the lender and doesn't make it a habit cos I don't see how much soft loan one can really take from a colleague that will really be worth having a rep as someone who's always borrowing money. But it's an interesting topic sha let's see other people's take on the issue. @ all good night. |
Opoks, I'm not seeing it as picking on anyone, all I'm saying is there are somethings you just ignore and it has nothing to do with politics. Haba!!! It's not everything wrong you see that you try to correct. You stay in Lag now, how many of the wrongs that you see daily do you try to correct? For example you are on your way to work, you see someone drive like a mad man as is very common in Lag, do you now stop and say you want to go and correct it? No. You can't correct the whole world. People are "different" and their outlook and perception of life differs. You can't always make someone see things your what even though your way may be right. Somethings you just ignore, You don't have to reply to every post now. The fact you don't reply doesn't mean you don't see it. ![]() @ Jisi, Exciting news wey dey wait for two days? Na wah even the conception of Mary no create tension tey reach that. Abi our Bachelor Speaker House of Rep don propose? ![]() @ Kenosky, No worry if Wigan no do am for us, we go do am ourselves. We go beat Bolton 24 - 0 ![]() Stan nice art work. @ all good night. |
Kenosky, No be only underground cell dem get, na the kain basement wey that Austrian man build dem get for there. No mind Jisi. And you never hear of blue blood? I be real blue blooded Human being. And Wigan na one kain unpredictable team, dem fit just shock Man U. for us. Newcastle na under-achieving team now. We go pip dem for their own background Insha Allah. No worry if the skies are painted red, it'll be Man U's blood. U know say Russia Mafia still dey reign for Russia? We go just tell all dem Man U players say we get bazooka trained on each and everyone of dem if dem try to win. ![]() @ All have a lovely Sunday. |
@ Jakumo or wetin u call yourself again, When you say "Statistically, more Nigerians are arrested for crime outside their home country than most other nationalities combined, with a significant number of those arrests arising from drug trafficking offenses detected at airports." Which statistics are you qouting from? Or do you expect us to accept your word as the gospel truth? Honestly I think you are just typing a whole load of crap and if you want to sell your birthright go right ahead and do that. Nigeria doesn't need peeps like you. And we are better off without you. For once I'm "that" close to really insulting someone on the net but I'll refrain from it. |
@ All I hail o. Obviously I can't comment on all i've read . Just coming up to speed with thing since my last posting. Interesting topic about investment. Methinks u can look at investing from the time value of money perpective, 1k today might be worth much more than 10k to you tomorrow so if you can get that 1k today and invest it wisely, it may be more beneficial to you than 2k tomorrow, Make i no drag us back to old topics jare.@ Kuwena, first of all i want to congratulate you on the US VISA stuff, since that's what you've always wished for, I'm happy for you and I pray you find fulfillment over there. I can assure you, no one's chasing you off the thread, rather you have the honour of always painting yourself in a weird light atimes. In a way it helps the thread progress towards the 200 page mark faster because peeps will always respond to your posts but i'm sure you can always post more value adding topics rather than the ones that cause consternation and draw out the ire of some people. I think you shouldn't look at Opoks as having it in for you, he's just the kind of person that says things as he sees them while others may say theirs in a more diplomatic way. I couldn't go through all what you wrote and others replies but I must tell you straight up that blood is always thicker than water, you can't say you love someone you met on the net more than your siblings because when push comes to shove, your own blood will stick closer to you. I think you really need to stop dwelling on the past and face the future. There are other issues i choose not to comment on not because I agree with them but because I think somethings are better left unsaid. And I must advise you to always consider what you put down so that they don't come back to haunt you in the future. I must advise you to speak with elders and listen to what they'll tell you, adversities will always come but they are meant to be overcome and not to overcome us, they are meant to make you stronger. It is when one has overcome them that one can beat his/her (make Jisi no fight me) chest and call himself a man. How do you feel any of your siblings will feel if they happen to come on all these postings of yours where you openly denounce them? Do you think it's always going to be smooth sailing? So what happens if there's a glitch in the program or something and you need a backup somewhere? Who do you run to? Friends? Those are the periods you need your family most to help you pass through the trying times and the family you have now are your siblings. Whatever you do please hold on to them because even the wife you might decide to marry tomorrow may desert you but your blood has no choice but to be tied to you forever. So if you sacrifice anything for your siblings, don't look at it as something you did for them but as something you did for yourself. Having said that i must say you try o, first it was the cult thingy , walahi when i see love and efrybody come dey pour out love i come dey wonder, na him i run go check my calendar sharp sharp check to confirm say no be say i de live for future or for past, i see say no be Feb 08 or Feb 09, I come breathe sigh of relief. Anyway me i dey enjoy the thread and all the peeps wey post normal, boring, educative and even weird topics. I think that's my own "litany" of love.@ Opoks, sometimes silence is golden or better still diplomacy is silver. (CYBER SCREAM) AND WOULD YOU AND KUWENA STOP PICKING UP ON EACH OTHERS' POSTING AND ANALYZING IT SENTENCE BY SENTENCE? @ Tommy congrats on your LNG call up. @ Kenosky, ow u dey? I'm sure u'r doing great. Jisi 419 ke? Which 419 i do u? Tok quick before i carry u go EFCC for defamation of character. How you dey? Still keeping it real ba?Annify, Alfaprime, Stan, Pak and every other person, I hail una. Heen heen who was it that posted that stuff about boring Chelsea - Liverpool match? I'm sure you've eaten your words now. No vex say i dey bring am up, I Love the Blues die. This na our season, make Wigan just help us shock them Manchester United for final match make we collect the two trophy wey still dey up for grabs this season. As per Champions league, if na to die, the players ready to die for there. I don't just see Manchester United taking that cup this season. But it's all a game and it's played on the pitch and not on web pages so till May 21st, I'll keep my fingers crossed. |

Hi All, @ Jisi, I don hear, actually have a friend with the nickname AK47, so was just wondering. ![]() @ Kenosym, Me i no know wetin u dey tok about o, which wayo thoughts be that? ![]() @ Tommy congrats to you, whatever it is we are waiting to hear. @ Opoks, how u dey? @ Kuwena, na wah for you o. You and your mood swings. It takes more than determination to find God again, It's always easier to destroy than to build. It took you many years to be where you were with God and in a twinkling of an eye you destroyed it (because of the disappointment of LNG!!!! Kuwena as far as I'm concerned i.e. IMHO you are a very fortunate guy and should be thanking God for what He has done for you and where he has brought you and where He is planning to take you and stop complaining. Do you know if God is testing you? Do you know if you are constantly failing the test by all these complaining and grumbling? Do you think you have a right not to be tested just because you served God faithfully in the past? Can you name anyone who made it big and who is a success story that did not pass through his/her own test? Y do you think your case should be different? If it's about the being righteous issue, can you claim to be more holy/righteous than those that were tested in the Bible? Can all the tests you have passed through compare with Jobs'? Did you see how God rewarded him (Job) because he didn't grumble or complain against God? Kuwena, as i said in one of my earlier posts, you don't need anyone to choose your religion for you or what you choose to do with your life but i want you to be honest and see if you are not just being an ingrate to God for all He has done for you. My people have a saying that "Omo to ba ni oko baba mi lo tobi ju, ko i ti ri oko baba elomiran" ( I hope my yoruba is right). Literally it means that the child that says my father's farm is the biggest has not seen someone else's father's farm. So Kuwena, i make bold to say to you right now that it's because you haven't seen someone else's problems that you keep coming out here whining. There was a service i went for recently and the pastor gave a parable sort of, He said there was someone who went to Church to pray and was complaining to God about his problems which were contained in a small milk container, next thing he saw was someone bringing a big drum of his own problems to God also to complain, guess what the first complainant did? He quickly picked up his small container of problems and went away thanking God for his problems. Bottomline Kuwena is you should be grateful to God for what He has done for you and what He is still doing and stop complaining. Maybe you should visit the hospitals and see what those peeps without good health will give to just have it not to talk of having a job and then come back and let's see if you'll still be cpmplaining about your ill luck in life. As i told you, you are an adult now and are invariably responsible for your life and every action or inaction of yours. Your whole life is before you and what you make of it is exactly your own choice. So decide on what you want and go for it so that in the next 30 years or so if Jesus tarries, you can look back and thank God that you made good use of the little time He gave you in this world. Use your time and energy creatively, STOP WORRYING AND START THINKING. On a lighter mood, @ Arsenal fans, sorry o, as i told some of my colleagues/friends wey be them fans, Nothing for una this season, make una wait small gather some experience before una go fit dey make noise. ( B4 una go bombard me, make una remember say this one no be football thread o. ![]() @ all, have a lovely night Cheers. |
Hi All, Hope we are all doing gr8? @ Jisi, just curious, could Ak-47 actually be a living being? @ all enjoy your weekend. |
@ Dee007, Pls are you sure about the forms coming out today? Someone told me it's coming out around the 15th of this month. Pls can u confirm if it's out yet? Thanks. |
@ KEnosky, I'll say it all depends on the way you interprete my post. Now lets look at the first question "If you had all the money and all the time in the world, would you still do what you currently do as a means of livelihood?". I answered that I believe that most people would not be doing what they are doing now except for those that really love what they are doing even if it's something small. For example (This is just an assumption) I believe that if the Van Goghs', Monets' and Da Vincis' of this world had all the money they needed, they'' still have continued doing what they did best: Dishing out master pieces. Now let's look at your answer "Personally, if i had all the money and time i needed, i would definitely NOT work and it doznt mean i have to start investing either (because u said if i had all i needed na). I would use the time and money to try to better the lot of the people around mi (within and without). Na philantropy go b my calling, walahi! I would take much desired vacations to relax and spent a lot of my money and cause easing the pains of the down trodden" ( I'm sorry i'm too lazy to learn how to encode your response in green like y'all do, time's not really my friend). Now definitely you can't do all that yourself and still get to enjoy the vacation and the rest cos in the end you'll just burn out which leads me to my first answer "Because in my opinion, the ultimate for one is to have your own organisation, something that is fully yours, where you can be innovative without anyone shutting up your ideas, where you can take calculated risks and sit back to reap the effects and learn from those ones that go awry" So if you really look at it, you'll see that you'll have to set up your own organisation to run things the way you want and that is the essence of what my answer was. You know investing is not all about money. One can decide to invest in other things just like you said you'll invest in people so IMHO we are both saying the same thing albeit in different ways. Or whatdya think. Now back to the Aniffy's poser and to your answer, i think what makes us humans and therefore higher animals is that we are mostly never content, we always believe there's something we can do better, that's why the Bill Gates', Warren Buffets', Carlos Slims', Dangotes', and Adenugas' of this world are not just sitting on their oars and how much really is enough for us human beings? ![]() Really have to go now. Maybe i'll pop in later to see whatsup. If not, then i wish u all very a nice night rest. |
@ Aniffy, Well the way i see it is this. Even if you are the type that loves being employed, It gets to a stage that you shall definitely be pushed out cos you'll have to retire someday, then where does that leave you? Just sitting at home receiving pension and doing nothing? I think you'll want to try your hands at one or two projects that you think you have flair for. So invariably if one is the type that is not too content with that kind of life, then thats where one will end up i.e. with your own organisation, no matter how small. (See my point) Having said that, I agree with you that not everyone is cut out to be an employer of labour. I think it all depends on what one wants out of life. It's either you want to just pass through life and leave without making a statement or you want to leave and make a statement. And no one said it was ever gonna be easy owning your own business, there'll definitely be bumps along the way but if one has done his/her homework probably then one should break through at the end of the day. On the other hand there are those that rise up are sitting on so many boards of Organisations, Into which category do we classify them? Non-employers of labour or emplyers of labour? Where would you fit them? And then there are those that work retire or resign and just study the stock market and invest or something, I think those ones will fall into the category of doing what they want with their money right? |
@ Aniffy, I believe almost everybody except probably those who have started out small on their own will give a definite NO to your question. Because in my opinion, the ultimate for one is to have your own organisation, something that is fully yours, where you can be innovative without anyone shutting up your ideas, where you can take calculated risks and sit back to reap the effects and learn from those ones that go awry. But for someone who has started something, no matter how small, It'll probably be something the person is interested in (except for those doing such just to make ends meet) and so if the person gets all the money he/she wants, the person will just invest more in such. That's my take on your question. |
@ Kuwena You can do something about the suffering in the world and it might even give you a sense of purpose, it starts with one person at a time. Make up your mind to put a smile on someone's face and the joy you'll bring to such a person's life will more than repay you for your efforts and that is a very good purpose. Or what do you think? ![]() I honestly don't think you'll ever be happy being any other person but yourself. Each and everybody is unique in his/her own way. As AlfaPrime said. Compare and contrast the blessing you have against the "hard knocks" then if you justifiably believe that you've been hard dealt by, come back and post it. And stop comparing yourself to other people, when you say some people are enjoying, Do you know the burden they bear in their hearts? Do you know what each and everybody is passing through? Some are just real enough to know that you don't go around carrying your burden where the whole world will see it. Maybe they are the "Acuna Matata" kind of people and that's the best kind of person to be. The Bible says something about worrying not about the problems of tomorrow that the worries of today are enough and that the Lord our God provides for the birds of the air, How much more you, His son Kuwena that he created in his own likeness and image Are you saying he doesn't know your needs? (Not your wants o!!!) He knows them all so cast them all onto him.You have a job many others would die for, (Don't you see some other peoples posts when you open the jobs section of N/Land? you'll see posts like "Thank God Intercontinental has called me" Or Zenith or Spring or 1st bank or Access or IBTC) but the bottom line is that it's not your dream job, so what do you do? Sit and whine about it? Or work towards the job you've always dreamed of. You are doing something in that effect i believe by planning to further your studies. Focus on that and forget about the initial inconvenience that you'll pass through before you get what you want. Nothing good comes easy or it won't be appreciated. As per the wishing you had a family issue, I'll just say if it'll not disturb your other plans, create one. Get married, You certainly are old enough to be because marriage is a function of maturity and not necessarily age. And I'm very sure your wife will do much more than console you after a hard day's work. You've not been forced to choose, You can have both a family and success, they are not mutually exclusive.N I'm sure u don't really want to die. You've still got a lot to achieve and the whole world is before you waiting to be conquered so start working on that and stop whining about the bumps slowing you down. Gotta go now but Kuwena, I must advise you to stop self-pity it won't get u anywhere (That's not meant in a spiteful way). What you want to do is grab the world by the scruff of it's neck and let the whole world know you have a mission to fulfill and that a man who knows what he wants and knows how to go about getting it is around. As AlfaPrime advised, I'll beseech you to make peace with your God (I'm not talking about religious activities) Cos you can't fight God, it's always going to be a lost battle right from the start. I've been there. It just ain't worth the whole stress. And as you know, it's always easier to destroy but much more difficult to build. And i mean that both literally and practically. Gotta go now. Everyone should have a nice weekendl |
@ nossycheek be nice, ![]() |
@ Kenosky, Which sin i commit? . Abeg allow me read, i get exam. peace out. |
@ Kenosky, I wasn't referring to this thread which i know is alive and kicking. I was referring to another thread and if you took time to check the other topics on the job thread before posting You'll have seen another thread on NLNG which was resurrected and in which Aniffy posted so please I know what i'm saying and request nay demand an apology before i . (E be like say when u log on na just one way traffic u dey do come post for this thread - No offense meant) . Maybe i should have been more explicit because of other posters but i left it as a teaser for Aniffy who will have had to check out the other thread. |
Aniffy, Y u dey follow resurrect dead thread now? ![]() |
Aniffy, Did u check the dates on the post b4 posting? That's an old post resurrected by the guy that posted b4 u. ![]() |
Hi all, Please where specifically can i purchase containers in Lagos? I believe i should be able to get in Apapa but i don't know the exact place to get one. Please anyone who has any idea should please assist me with the description. Thanks. |
Hey Ralvy, Are u saying u can build it for me? Holler if that's what u r saying. Thanks. |
@ ramonmulti, I'll check you when i'm ready, hope u r real o. With all the tales coming out of Computer village, one can't be too careful. I'm not casting aspersions o, just being careful. |
At All, Thanks guys. Ralvy i guess you are talking about a built one. Do u have any ideas where i can get it? With your estimate the price is about N34k. At Neotany sorry but are you sure about the 12k thing? ![]() |
