@ ima1, y don't we go out on a date? ![]() |
When i registered it was about 3k. I think you'll need copies of your credentials i.e. First degree, NYSC passport and probably SSCE. I can't remember all the documents but i think that's about all. The documents will have to be certified by someone who is already a member. You'll need to find out what subjects you'll be exempted from depending on the course you studied. You can get more info. from www.ican-ngr.org. If you are planning to write the May diet, i'll advise you start the process on time 'cos the process can be long atimes. If you plan to write in November, you can take your time. I wish you luck. |
@ topic, my own 2 cents is that the two of u should look for someone else instead of risking the probability of pain and hardship involved in seeing a loved child die one after the other. I know a couple that were AS that got married and lost the 5 kids they had, the marriage degenrated to something else and later on the man went to have a kid outside. Anyway just pray b4 u make ur decision, May God guide u right. |
@ Davidlyan, I'll advise you to stop replying to some of these posters who have insisted on behaving like Ostriches. I wont name names but some of the arguments I've seen on this post are not only ridiculous but show why some people got what exactly what they deserved. With the way those minds are working, I can't really see any employer of labour offering them jobs even if they pass the tests 'cos their folly will be exposed during the interview sessions. Yuck some people just argue for arguing sake without thinking. |
Na wah o, the way you gurls dey take reply, e be like say my brodas don deal with una well well. Sorry o. ![]() |
@ Busta, God spoke to them same way he speaks to OBJ. ![]() |
Please which position did y'all apply for? |
@ babycool, thinking, just the movies, drink and goodnite, still thinking |
@ topic, I would have thought the situation is pretty obvious. Your folks are already used to the guy the so called prayer warriors recommended so what else would you expect them to say. Abeg don't deal with the guy who has been there for you for years, are your parents going to live in your marital home with you? Though one should try as much as possible to get the parents acceptance b4 settling down one should not completely behave as if one doesn't have a mind of his/her own. So my advice to you is to go on your own knees and pray to God b4 you make any decision, what makes you think that God will listen to and answer the so called prayer warrior more than yourself. I think it's just a little bit of laziness on your part that you don't want to pray and are listening to so called prayer warriors. ![]() |
I think NNPC will be better for him now 'cos he'll have the opportunity to gain experience in the oil and gas sector and from there he can cross over to other oil companies "God willing", and he'll have more time on his hands in NNPC i believe and he can use that time to develop himself further. And I believe NNPC has a good training programme for it's staff. ( I'm not too sure about that o!) Good luck to your friend and he should seek for God's guidance before he takes any step. |
@ topic, Please accept the offer, it will not affect you negatively in anyway. But the thing is that you should continue searching for a better one as if you don't have a job yet. Don't rest on your oars. And i believe it will give you confidence when going for other interviews 'cos it might also be a minus if you aren't working anywhere when you go for interviews and you will not view other interviews you go for as a do or die thing and this will help you to be relaxed during such interviews. Good luck bro. |
@ ishmael, Stop beating around the bush and listen to what people are saying. They are not talking about a first class or 2.1 having the best job or being the most successful, they are just giving you very sensible reasons why any Organisation would want to reduce the number of applications they receive and listen to people's advise and go and develop yourself. There's still hope for you. ![]() |
I believe most of what needs to be said has already been said. Majority of those with 2.1 and above earned it, just a negligible number bought it. And the fact that one has a 2.1 and above does not preclude one from writing a test, those that bought theirs would not be able to defend it and at the end of the day the better candidates would be taken though we'll have to leave allowance for 'man know man'. Those that made 2.2 and below should stop whining and learn the 'message in the mess' they've gotten themselves into: It's not to late for all of you, there are adverts that include 2.2, you have the opportunity to prove yourselves there, stop mouthing about the Gani's and Soyinka's of this world, things are different now, even with a 3rd class in their time they would still get jobs 'cos the number of educated Nigerians weren't many and the economy was working back then unlike now that industries are closing down and there are so many more candidates than jobs, also you can start thinking of setting something up cos none of these famous Nigerians that you always mouth worked or is working for anybody. Why should any serious minded organisation choose to overly belabour itself by inviting the whole world when it just needs a couple of hundred that can easily be gotten from those that would be invited for the test? It takes effort and sacrifice to sit down and read and that is the price some of us paid so all of you should stop whining and go get a life. ![]() |
@ topic, I find it quite difficult to believe that a guy that claims to be a lawyer in 9ja still has nothing to show for all his efforts at 40!! The age thing doesn't really matter but as you rightly said, marriage is not something you rush into and please forget what anyone says about your age it's better you marry the right person than rush into marriage with a wrong person only to regret it for the rest of your life. Are you sure he's a lawyer? When was he called to the bar? What has he been doing since he was called to bar? Are you sure he has a certificate? (Not Oluwole certificate o). Do you know his friends/colleagues? What do they do? All these are issues you should think about b4 u rush into anything so that you don't end up taking care of not only your children alone but him as well. I wish u luck. But i'll advise you to do some serious praying and soul searching. |
I read and loved every one of his books. May his soul rest in peace. |
E-mail password? No way. Do u know all the other stuff he does on/with his fone? ![]() |
@ bhnl, Pls how easy is it for someone who in not in IT line to study for and take Oracle exams? |
@ topic, Men like women who cheat? Hell no. Unless the guy is just in it for the sex and is not serious about her at all. He should just be careful 'cos Adisa (aids) dey for town. ![]() |
beginning of internet dating, lets know ow it goes. ![]() |
@ lover, I agree with some of your points. The thing is that many of these rich folks are benefitting from the status quo as it is now. The refineries are not working, who imports fuel and who are those benefitting from this? Them of course. The transportation system is below substandard, inefficient to totally non-existent railway system, who owns the big haulage/transportation companies? them of course and many other examples. Anyway may God help us. @ Seun, It's not about them against us, any effort that Nigerians in diaspora (whether in sports or other spheres of life) can contribute towards alleviating the suffering of the masses should be done and appreciated. Just affecting one person's life can go a long way in helping others. All that's required is the will. |
@ Meg, Methinks it all boils down to the age difference. The man will have a complex of "since she's this much younger than me, she might be seeing someone her own age hence all the monitoring." I really don't advise you to allow him foot all your bills if your folks can and i feel the monitoring may reduce after marriage. Anyway i wish you the best though i think u should consider some other factors, do u get along well with his kids? Also does he give u the respect u deserve? He's already made and may therefore not appreciate u like a guy that you built things together might. Anyway just consider all these factors and the ones posted by others b4 u make ur decision 'cos at the end of the day u are responsible for whatever decision u make and u'll live with it everyday of ur life, |
@ blue, r u suggesting ur husband better cry for the igbe iya wo (according to Fela - carry suffer to see how he be) wey hin wan do? Na wah o. |
@ Idowu, thanks i got the material u sent though i haven't been able to open it yet. @ wholex, hope u are ok. I pray we all succeed on this endeavour. For others my e-mail addy is niyibones@yahoo.com n am based in Abuja and haven't decided on attending lectures yet. |
