All I'm saying is, it doesn't concern me.

bdchange: I guess you are joking with this writings about your name . I bet you the day you will meet a Victoria who happens to be opposite of what you are then you will hate the day you were given that name. Names have nothing to do with your personality. Some don't care about their names while some make sure no stain comes near that name. Your name can mean success to you but failure to someone else. Kudos to that guy if he truly means what he wrote about you sincerely. Never let him go if he happens to be one of the good guys out there because we are scarce to come by. Have a nice day.. So, you're not disturbed an unknown somebody actually typed that long epistle and the OP actually felt like posting it on nairaland? The point could not have been made with fewer words? |

Charleys: The yorubas are not marrying themselves, because they are naturally ugly and want to improve on their Gene pool. A Yoruba woman is like a masquerade hiding behind make up and brown powder.
They can't make it to the igbos, so they decide on marrying the South south. Because that's the closest they can get. I'm sure the Igbos are ok with that, why worry about it. And as long as the "genes" are improved somehow, does it matter where? |

"When I opened the paper, it was an empty sheet with her Unclad picture and telephone number under it. I called her and with my background as a Christian, I counselled her,” Was an official complaint made for reference purposes and according to protocol? I think by now with this type of thing being so common, there has to be standard procedures to follow when they happen. And to avoid ambiguity. And, you called her at the phone number she provided with the nude photo? The call could have been made in the presence of others, not alone. |

tillaman: well a good example was when a friend and I wanted to start up a business there in Ilorin, we wanted to buy a land, we already reached a consensus only for the man and his kinsmen to start asking questions like what do you intend to do on the land, are you indigenes and other questions, the moment my friend told him what we wanted to do on the land which of course I believe is not the sellers business, just like a bread seller asking you what you intend to do with the bread you want to buy! The man simply liaised with his folks and they said they don’t want to sell again that they will rather lease, we agreed to that only for them to say they are not selling again! We later realised they stole my friends ideas, it was an elderly woman from Benin that told us that’s how they do in Ilorin You probably have to know people in order to do most things. Not uncommon in Nigeria especially. |

Ilorin is not as hilly as Abeokuta so the comparison is moot or perhaps misguided (Ilorin topography is the plains).
However, the OP is most likely referring to political clout, not necessarily aesthetics alone. |
