Hi Pal,

I am not the regular plugin guy, I like tweaking and going deep into the codes... LOL (Plugins occupies disk space and increases CPU usage... call me old school... I like it like that)

What I will advise (Depends on how COMPLEX your website is).

TO BACKUP

There is an Export option that comes with every wordpress, Dashboard-> Tools-> Export

- Click on Export
- Select All Content
- Download Export File

- Next, go into your website control panel (CPanel) via your host provider or using FTP applications like Filezilla
- Copy out the folder wp-content



TO RESTORE
- Dashboard -> Tools -> Import
- Select downloaded file and Import
- Open FTP... add the backed up files in wp-content folder to the new/empty wp-content folder


And you are good to go

My assumptions
- You know about wordpress already
- You have CPanel/FTP access to your host account
- You are backing up and restoring to same website with same domain name.

I have been a secret disciple of programming, and I really do admire those who can 'actually' write code. My journey made me apply for the Andela fellowship, then I didn't get past the interview stage, so I decided I was gonna learn how to code, if not professionally then it's gonna be a hobby that I'll be good at....

While looking for inspiration, I came across this blog post above....

Then I look at myself and say, if a blind man can code, I wonder what am afraid of....

This story has totally inspired me to at least learn to program for fun before anything else.

Work together

Share affection

Dan would walk up behind me while I was cooking or doing dishes and give me a hug. This sharing of affection soothed my troubled spirit and helped me to relax as I was putting forth effort on his and the children's behalf. I felt more loved and appreciated when he exhibited personal attraction to me as his companion.

Assure me of my worth

When I did talk about feeling like I wasn't worth anything, Dan would listen to my feelings, and then assure me that I was worthwhile to him, our family and to the Lord. He helped me to remember that what I was doing as a wife and mother was important, not just now, but eternally.

Allow me to pursue my hobbies and interests

When Dan suggested that I join a club or take some time to do what I wanted to do, I felt a sense of freedom. I was able to enjoy being with friends, and at the same time, develop my talents and abilities without feeling that I had taken something away from the family in the process. Our children could see my happiness increase, and encouraged my involvement as well.

Take time to be together

Dan helped me make arrangements for our children's needs so that he could take me with him on outings. I felt more fulfilled as a spouse, and as a mother of my children, because he took the time to do something with me that we both enjoyed.

The efforts of my husband in my behalf helped to reduce my default thoughts of worthlessness. He never complained when I went to my appointments, because he knew how much I needed the additional support and strength the doctors and counselors provided.

I learned that in relationships, it is important to replace "I" with "We." When my husband and I worked together, both in our household responsibilities and in teaching and caring for our children, we fortified our marriage and strengthened one another.

During this difficult time in our lives, we learned firsthand that both husband and wife are critically important in the family unit -- not just in the duties each fulfills, but in the support and strength we give to one another!

Now here's a moral dilemma meant to be solved by 200 applicants in a job interview. You will be marveled when you see the answer the only successful candidate gave. Many wouldn't have reasoned in that line.


You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect man (or woman) you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. I love this. I might actually use it sometime for an interview situation.

He simply answered: “I would give the car keys to my old friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams.”

Never forget to “Think Outside of the Box.”

My 50kobo advice to all jobseekers:
Avoid giving a straight-up answer to interview questions no matter how straight-to-the-point the question is.
Always have something to add to spice up your answers and be straight to the point as you do so. Expect all kind of useless questions. Lol.
The interview that landed me my job was an interview i got most of what i will call off-point questions like:
Are you married?
What tribe will you like to marry from?
Can you speak Yoruba language?
What's your username on nairaland? (I shock!)
