NGpatriot:
..but the money sat in the bank and wasn't finding anything, no capital projects or even recurrent so what's your point?

When you invest in capital projects, you create jobs and widen your tax base which ultimately turns your economy into a recession-proof economy.

You don't sit on money that you should be investing with, that you should be funding infrastructures with and circulating through your local economy via job creation while thinking about recession or downturn.

You people come up with the most ridiculous and absurd rubbish ever just to defend your incompetent and thoughtless leaders.
Before I engage a guy man mentality like yours, define what is Meant by " Capital Project".

Guy just listen to yourself. What is your state producing? I don't mean primary products, I'm talking about secondary goods? Bulk of the populace in Oyo are civil servants and yet you're talking about some unforseen projects that no one is seeing.

Guy stop distracting yourself and your entire heritage online. You lack the dynamics of how economy works. If I were you I'll stop displaying my ignorance on a subject you know jerk on. So you're recommending borrowing loans to service recurrent expenditure? Do you know the drawbacks of such policy? This kind of mindset will result into economic quagmire. What secondary goods are your region exporting so as to act as shock absorber during recession or economic meltdown? Guy calm down and face your petty freelance design job you're doing on fiverr.

Keep believing and trusting in God and in no time you'll feel the presence of God in your life.

I do accept those, I am not getting this love bond or feeling thing, it's not just there. Someone told me that the love is not the attraction type or chemical type, which I find it difficult to understand how then will the love be expressed in a non physical or psychological way.
This is not something that can be achieved in a day. It's a process. The more you study the bible and begin to work on the word, the love and bond will start to flow spiritually and physically through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is love and so his words.

Guy don't single out fake products to the Igbos alone because they're mostly into the business of importation.

Come to Mushin, Lagos island, and so many other places i will personally show you where fake products are being mass produced by other ethnic groups.

Corruption knows no ethnic or religious undertones. It's being perpetrated by all and sundry.

Nice, can one really love God. I mean not by saying it or doing things in the name of pleasing God, I mean genuine love like cravings, burning passions and desire. I don't know, like the love and desire for money is strong, but, I am really referring to a limitless love that is stronger than that of man to money.
The only way you can truly love God is to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour and accept that he died on the cross just to set you free from the claws of eternal damnation.

That my friend is how you can truly love God.

If you have been reading your bible,
You'll know the bible consists of different books from Genesis to Revelation

And it's a book of history and how God chose a particular tribe and make it his people

He chose some prophets also through which he sent his words about what's going to happen in the future

Fast forward to when Jesus Christ who has been prophecised by Isiah was born

And all his deeds and his disciples

And also the books which the disciples wrote about Jesus Christ

And the vision of John

This is a short summary of the Bible

So it's not one person that wrote the entire bible

It's different people from different generation

And holy Spirit didn't inspire anything except when the word of God comes down to his prophets

You better start reading to understand

Lukewarm
You've just shown you're not a Christian or its either you have poor knowledge of what bible entails.

I will advice you to seek a bible believing church to attend for saying the bible is just an historical book and wasn't inspired by God.

See reasoning! So those prophets in the old testament that gave prophecies of what was to happened did it on account of their own idea?

I'm sorry! It will be ridiculous for me to continue engaging you further. I wish you good luck.

Thank you very much the Op for this piece
People like righteousness89 always thinks he's right just because many people are saying what he's saying

But he always forgets Jesus warned that MANY will be deceived in this time

So few people won't be decieved

Pls take your Bible and read it for yourselves
Stop wating for your pastors to give you bible verses

Read to understand

Read and read again

And stop quoting just one verse out of context just to satisfy your own selfish desire
NONSENSE YARNS! You think the bible is just another academic book that you can just grab from the shelf, read and assimilate.

The writings of the bible is the word of God and was inspired by the Holy Spirit and as such you need proper guidance from the spirit of God to read and understand it. You can never wish away the guidance of a true man of God in interpreting the bible, that's why as Christian's we're urged to attend fellowships and church services where we are able to hear and learn the scriptures.

Your idea of saying people should eschew the teachings of men of God and resort to self study alone is pure BALONEY.

You have gone from a simple act of business acumen by an Igbo businessman who is trying to save the face of your people to focusing on Yorubas who don’t even think about you (as they allow you do your thing without hindrance in their midst) yet you claim they are the ones that hate you (laughs).

Even foreigners know the ones who hate others. I guess you guys love to believe what you love to believe without facts.

You have gone beating and thrashing about the bush trying to muddle things up so that you can whip up unnecessary sentiments like it has become customary of your kit and kin.

Well, available statistics show clearly that the Yorubas are well ahead of your tribe. Whether Forbes, or unofficial panama papers leak, or even the more recent COVID 19 donations or industrial setups generally. But it’s okay. Continue to lie to yourselves, boasting that you are the most successful and own everything, but claiming victimization when accolades, facts and awards show otherwise, which is the case mostly.

Everyone will be fine las las! cheesy
Show us with proofs areas your people have excelled more than the Igbos. Just show it and prove it to the world.

In what area or field? Even the education you guys brag about, please go and check recent data's from ministry of education as regards each states performance and come back and tender your apology for being misguided.

Mention 10 billionaires from your region, and I will show you 7 out of the ten that made their money from the lopsided govt support and backing. But the same can't be said about the Igbos, they worked hard to get to where they are today.

Sighs again!

Complete deviation from the topic of discuss. More like clutching straws!

Reason: It appears you guys live to boast, hence the penchant to always want to put others down for every little milestone that you record. That’s where the assertion of inferiority complex becomes apt!

Meanwhile, others who record milestones on a regular, have little or no need to gloat or debase others.

Here are some signs of an inferiority complex:
You need constant validation. ...
You are overly sensitive to other people's opinions. ...
You put your own needs last. ...
You cannot take constructive criticism. ...
You crave flattery. ...
You procrastinate often. ...
You withdraw from society. ...
You find faults with others...

I hope you can relate.
For your info, every human being has one complex or the other, so stop gallivanting about like you have the moral rectitude to speak shit about people.

Your people suffer from envy, hate and bitterness. It has become so prevalent that it's being taught and ingrained in the minds of their newborns.

How do you expect to sow Yam and reap up cassava?. When the Igbos were busy planning and rebuilding, most of your young men were busy demanding for free money ( Owo Ilę) all in the name of indigenous people.

Call it whatever you Like, an average Igbo man is steadfast and hardworking, never one to depend on govt handouts like you folks.

Go round, every nook and cranny of Lagos streets, you'll see how your children who are supposed to be in school are loittering from one bus Stop to another, while aspiring to be the next Mc. Oluomo. So when next you wanna talk about the speck in our eyes, ask your people remove the big logs of woods in yours.

Guy i know you're a small Boy in reasoning but if you're an adult with this mentality then the saying that goes thus " A fool at forty will remain one till enternity" is true.

Did you see any Igbo state that complained about hunger during this Covid 1-9 period?

Every well meaning Igbos both wealthy and the not-so-wealthy are sharing foods and cash as palliatives in their respective communities to the extent of me getting my own share despite the fact that I'm residing here in Lagos. Cash was wired to my account. I had to give my relatives in my hometown permission to take the bags of rice and other foodstuffs that was allotted to me.

Now can you say the same about your people in Yorubaland. Your so-called wealthy men gave out huge sums of cash to govt as eye service while government in return reciprocated by sending expired rice to western states.

Prove it wrong

You guys never disappoint.

Yoruba and other billionaires have been doing all manners of donations since COVID 19 started but no one made noise. Some Igbos even alleged shame when in spite of many donors, the Igbo billionaires were conspicuously absent (especially after a TVC report claiming that Nnewi town had the most billionaires in Nigeria.

And just this singular case of donations now, and it’s hullabaloos and chest beating everywhere.

I’ve never seen this type of inferiority complex before. Continue!
Nincompoop! Are you counting the N50 Agege bread Obasa gave to you guys as palliative? Or the one Thiefnubullion transferred cash from his deposit account to his GTB savings account also as palliative?

You see Now, when they say majority of you will go to your grave with the mentality of a slave you'll start calling them children of hate.

Good, so lemme ask you this honest question.

During your stay in Yoruba land, do you see any form of hatred from them to Igbos doing business in Yoruba land?

And which state do you reside?
Now let me tell you something without mincing words.

Hardly you see the educated and exposed Yorubas behaving in such manner but guy, you see those illiterates, the uninformed ones, they're full of hate and they detest Igbos so much that they openly display it in public thus, the saying "Òmò Igbo".

When you see an average Igbo man, he's only interested in making money let alone having that time to hate on somebody. Hardly you see an average Igbo man constituting into nuisance except but a very few. If you have Igbo friends, they can attest to what I'm saying.

I'm based in Lagos State. I grew up in itire Surulere, in fact in a place they call Agbo-ile, opposite the Oba Palace, Onitire.

KEEP THEM TALKING AND GUESSING.

Baba understands the laws of power. He keeps Nigerians talking and guessing by speaking very little. I don't know how many times he has addressed the Nation on sensitive issues.

When an incident which requires a presidential statement occurs, baba will just keep quiet while Nigerians will talk and debate on why baba hasn't said anything about the incident.

At his own appointed time, baba will address the incident with a light statement, and then take a decision, after which he will retire into the hallowed chambers of the presidential Villa, while Nigerians resume another session of talking, discussing the decision which baba just took.

I think he is adopting the style of Louis XIV of France. One cannot come and kill himself over 200m+ people. grin

In the same way, I cannot come and kill myself over Nigerian politicians.
