I'm impressed with your ambition and effort to improve yourself through higher education. I'd say, you need to clearly articulate your budget and proposed area of study. Locally in Nigeria there's just the Nigerian Open University, Obasanjo's brainchild. But there are perhaps, better online (ACCREDITED) Univerties based in America, Europe and Asia that are equally available, but as I said, it'll depend on your budget and proposed area of study. If you are serious, and after you have a clear proposed plan as I indicated, I'll do my best to help you in anyway you need, and where I can. Goodluck, and Keep your dream ALIVE!
Obasanjo's brainchild ? Do you know anything about NOUN?

If they are truly men of God.  judgment should be left for God, Or does the sender of the mail want to fight for God? please let God fight for His men. No body should come to public forum and do PRO jobs for pastors
Christianity is more than cramming bible verses ( Touch not my Touch not my anointed blah blah blah, ).
Is it not true that most of their preachings are mere motivational speeches? Some of their members will  rather obey pastor's instruction than God's commandment.
Honestly i don't blame these pastors our people are not ready to embrace truth, therefore they went in their ways to look for pastors that will preach what they like to hear. True preaching should be embodiment of FAITH, LOVE AND JUDGMENT( judgment of  God on sinners) but it has been reduced to the first two words Faith and Love,

How can somebody embezzled in his place of work and donate part of it to the church? May God save us

OBJ all the way, I am not here to defend him but  revelation from just concluded strike  shows that most of these billions projects ( including power) are mere budgetary. Cash were never available to fund them. This accounted for many abandon project according to NOI.

Are you saying there is no  Muslim university? Well i am from Osun state there is one in my state own by NASFAT . Please do your research or ask from those that know better that you do before comment on issues.  More so, from your statement "are we afraid of them?" Afraid of who? Our religion never preach terror or violent,
in fact Jesus says peace i give on to you not as world giveth,  he further told his disciple  that if  they enter any house or any community and they refuse to listen to their words, they should   leave the place. unlike your religion that ask you to pursue and kill infidel. So what is our business with that, if those so called Chairmen are dumb folded and pretend as if all is well with the party's policies. then Fashola will continuing to be hero while they will remain objects of redicle and unpopular among their people fools
mikeapollo:
We cant just put the blame on the LGAs.

It is a known fact the state governments have hijacked the allocations of the LGAs and they only give to the LGA funds that are justr enough to pay salaries. As a rssult, the Local Govts are incapacitated and their relevance has been usurped by the States.

Therefore, it has become very necessary and also important for the State Govts to now marshall plans and collaboratie with the LGAs to implement programmes and policies that would impact positively on the people at the grassroots, i.e LGAs, this is where the Fashola Govt is a failure. His government has been embarking on elitist projects/programmes to the detriment of the grassroots.
We keep hearing about roads in highbrow/elitist areas, but the people living in the local/rural areas are totally neglected. Add that to the wanton destruction of poor people's businesses/markets at the slightest opportunity by govt agencies.

It is this disconnect between the State govt and the LGA that is casuing this poor performance and the apparent anger against the ACN in Lagos
During his inauguaration/opening of some housing units a few weeks ago, I heard Fashola criticising those who blame hos govt for not having any housing scheme for the low-level income earners in the society. His response was that his govt would only provide hosuing to the MIDDLE and UPPER strata in the society where is a clear market for hosuing. This a clear indication that his government does not have sympathy for the poor. It is this lack of government presence/ impact in the lives of the rural poor that has led to the present situation. Fashola's govt must have a rethink and touch the lives of the poor, otherwise there would be more disenchantment. The govt has failed to do anything meaningful for the victims of the floods in Ikorodu and other places in recent times

Afterall. we saw how Jakande(and Tinubu to a less extent) impacted people's lives through low cost housing and other masses-friendly policies that benefitted the poor

Although i was born and bred in a very strict christian (catholic) family,
i do not subscribe to a blanket condemnation of everything about other
religions, particularly islam, just because i`m a christian. There are some
great islamic personalities and institutions around the world, one of which
is the controversial islamic bank. Can anyone tell me what`s wrong with
islamic bank which operates freely in the western world from where
christianity came to our shores?. if i apply for a N20m loan from any of the
existing comercial banks, the interest rate will be very high. If the islamic
bank grants me the same loan, interest free, will i reject it just because
it`s islamic?. Certianly not.

Although there is nothing wrong with islamic banking, but there are lot of things that wrong with Nigerian Muslims expecially those from Northern part of the country, Imaging a set of people clamoring that saria law should be fully implemented in all Northern states. Without conserdering the faith of other non Muslim, So you can not compare western word with Nigerian mentality.

in ancient times elsewhere when twins and babies who werent acceptable  were thrown into the evil forest, were these children taken and raised by any other people after being thrown there or is this something nobody knows about for sure.

Mary slessor took in a lot of these kids but i'm wondering if other africans did the same without the knowledge of the general populace.

I think there was a book about something like that long ago where a baby who was thrown out, was raised by somebody, though i could be getting things mixed up here since it sounds like the story of moses.[/quote]what are you trying to say? hope you are not saying that those thrown aware twins were taken and raised Yorubas ?

It was said that Yoruba have the highest rate of twinning in the world,
It's a curious, but little-known fact that the rate of twin births in West Africa is about four times higher than in the rest of the world. The centre of this twin zone is Igbo-Ora, a sleepy southwest town in Nigeria.
this is according to wikipedia and some other publications.

There are thousands of your students who don't have access to internet or just use it intermitently. Why should they bear an extra cost for Govt/School ineptitude. With that simple statement they are robbing millions of naira from the students.
well, if they don't have access to internet that is not NOUN wahala, because internet access is one of requirement for NOUN enrolment., and this is made clear during orientation, for instance all NOUN tutor mark assignment (TMA) which Cary 30% of total score are on-line base. Never the less i quite agreed that part of course material fee should be refund to students to cover printing cost.

Yes, this is the first time NOUN student will pay up to that amount, they usually pay betwen 20k to 30k for about 8 to 10 courses depends on credit units
there are some charge this time around
like
ICT fee N10,000
Library fee N3000
Reg N2,500

There is also slight increment in course material fees
2 units course now is N2000 instead of N1500
while 3 unit courses is N2500 instead of N2,000
exam is N1000 per course
so your friend might pay up to that if he reg for about 8 to 10 coures
