Please i need a very honest advice, Is a salary of close to 320K per month worth sacrifing for a conadian PR, What is the prospect of IT certification CCNA, CCNP, ITIL and MCSA with experience in canada, Lastly i intend to come alone if i finally decides to pursue the PR because of the CRS score and later work a way for my lovely wife and daughter to come join me, please i need you to be very real, insultive if you wish but with ur canadian experience advise me appropriately. if it were about salaries, a lot of us won't even make any move. It is beyond salaries. It is about staying in a sane environment where your life matters, where your children's education, health, wellbeing matter. Abeg, Naija wahala supersedes any salary earned there.

Given the above, wouldn't it be possible for a church to sponsor someone for playing or to play drum?

I never mentioned 419, in my conversation. And like i said i remain to keep mum on my views and opinion, in Canada information is vital. The source of your information determines how far and how well you would survive and be successful here. In your statement you were too quick to infer that i was talking about fraud or 419 and i take offense to your assertions. I will not say a word on this matter hence forth. This is one of the reason i do not like interacting with Nigerians here in Canada, they see every move to make progress as trying to be fraudulent or a 419er. i Rest my case.

I was thinking about that as well, this story doesn't sound right.
This doesn't sound like the Canada I know.
It is very unlikely for a white Canadian to tell a black person that he thinks black people are primitive beings.
In Canada, white people walk on eggshells when interacting with black.
White people are afraid to offend black people.

My Malian friend here told me a story recently and I keep laughing anytime I remember it.
One of his colleagues at work asked him a question. The colleague is Caucasian and he gave him a befitting response.
The question : Do you guys have tarred roads in your country (in Africa by extension )?
His response: When I was in Africa, going to school was not easy because I had to run as fast as my legs could carry me along the thick forests and bushes hiding the world most dangerous animals.
The lions roar as I run. The pythons hiss as I run. I would run like that till I got to school. Same thing happened on my way back home. In fact, it is still the same scenario today in Africa . School children run to school to avoid been eaten by wild animals along the pathways in the thick forests.

By the following day, the colleague has spread this story all over their company and some ignorant ones came to confirm the story from my friend while those who understand their world map very well have been laughing at their colleague for exhibiting such ignorance about Africa.

To parents and intending ones here, try and bring up all your children well, including your sons. Teach them how to do all chores, there is no female chores and male chores. Be mindful of expressions you use, e.g." You are a girl, or you are a boy, therefore, you must learn to do this or that". If a boy child is comfortable with chores and well raised like his sister, some of these arguments we had for 2 days would not have even come up in the first place. They would not need people to remind them to help their wives at home. They would not be riddled with complex desperately looking for submission because the women in their lives would genuinely submit to them.

They speak the standard North American English but no one understands their French.

What you do is speak Yoruba to them all the time. My kids don't interact too as its from home to school, school to house and be inside fence all day. All my kids speak Yoruba including my 3 year old and what I do is speak to them in Yoruba concerning anything at all. Even when I pick them up from school the only English I speak Is "get into the car" I start with the 'Bawo ni school?, oya e jekalo, bag e da? "

So if it's to get a glass of water. When u say "bami bu omi wa" and they look confused just say "get me water" next time they know what it means. Don't make the sentences long too. Keep it short and Simple and with time they get to express well.

No matter where we are I speak my Yoruba to the kids. I don't care who's looking. Cos sometimes I get stares and Na me sabi wetin I want. They already speak good English so why not Yoruba?

I even think they will learn faster as they are kids, so just try simple conversations with them and request for things in Yoruba, ask questions in Yoruba. Don't give up. They will get it.

I've also heard of kids who speak 3 languages well (never seen one though) but I'm hoping my kids will learn and know French too. So na French Yoruba English all join.

Correct. Speaking Igbo to my children is my next line of action.

Open work permit is for the spouse of students and PGWP holders and the normal work permit requires one to have a LIMA before applying for it. Kindly Google it dear.

She went with visiting visa, landed, she applied for work permit in canada which takes about a month and she went back to port of entry to get it....tough they mentioned it only works for open permit not the normal work permit that requires LIMA.

Like someone said, visiting visit isn't easy to get tough.

Try and find out from other people living in Canada presently.
