Capital nonsense! Which is your problem, the sovereign national conference or your "disunity of the nation" or the media,or in your "wisdom" do enlighten us if your boko is now a southern conspiracy? Foxybone: It’s high time I say my mind on what is happening in the northern states of Nigeria. I have always sat and watched the way news from the northern states is treated by the southerners here. Even though to say Nigeria is one would look and definitely fuel tribalistic views from others…. I will still like to say things the way they are.
Before the death of Sheik Jafar Adams, he publicly opposed the doctrines of Yusif Muhammad…. There was even a live debate where Yusif praised the wisdom of Ja’afar.
We Christians who had stayed in Kano, experienced all the riots and eventually sent packing by the book haram menace, surely have a tale to tell. Reading it several times in articles that Islam is an evil religion, I won’t stand to contradict it…. Even though there are still some few good eggs among them. (Well, a soiled finger affects the rest). The problem of Boko Haram rubs on us all and their menace will continue if the Southerners in Nigeria keeps thinking that Boko Haram is a Northern conspiracy.
It pained my heart during the January 20th 2012 attack when friends with whom we have all planned our future with were gunned down in cold blood when the attackers gained entrance into Bompai Police Barracks. Watching them being buried en-masse was really heart wrenching as I watched them take their dreams to the great beyond.
Putting blames on government on the government and securities outfit will do one good. Little by little, the wind of ill-fate blowing in the North will definitely find its way into the south if nothing is done about it.
Fellow Nairalanders, especially those of you outside the shores of this country, try as much as you can to fight this spirit of disunity that is threatening the very foundation of this country. It has never been heard that a country was divided peacefully, without records of death. The death toll that the media carried after the attack in Kano is like ten times that amount. I leave you to put two and two together. Should a war break out now, no matter how well prepared we may think we are, we will definitely lose love ones. The top men in this country will only take their children to s safe haven and from their watch the outcome of this so called Sovereign Meeting. The masses and by the masses, I mean the peasants and those struggling to make ends meet will face the travail of war…,
Put this into your heart and strive hard to use the pen as a medium of uniting our country instead of as an apple of discord…….

However what i don't understand is some natural spoilers who are neither igbo nor igala to come on here pretending to be on igbo or igala's side just sneak in their unwelcoming piece of trashy opinion, had it been that the ATTAH and the igalas are complaining about the igbos, then you would see what would be said by those bloody wandering nairaland vagabonds. |

I'm sure our Igala brothers/sisters would count the number of those who applied emotions in their comments here due to some very unfortunate experiences in the past and on going in the nation, then compare the population of the igbo nation and they will see that those who see it as not so good idear will surely see it as a welcome development once they sit down and drink some cool water. Given the fact that igalas have always been a part of us and us a part of them,we have been living with our igala brothers/sisters in igboland without discrimination or war or even knowing who is igala or igbo, and our igala brothers in anambra have equally contribute to the development in anambra and nigeria as well, think about men like the legendary emma and his late brother patrick okala and many more who served alaigbo with all their strength, and the igalas are very hard working so anyone who thinks or says orderwise should please think again or perhaps he/she does not know the real igalas, only fake internet igalas just like the fake internet igbos lol! Also the gesture is encouraging, but like someone suggested let there be some sort of agreement just for reference. The only time the future will begin to look bright with anyone will be when people stop being too economical with the truth,we are tired of people always lying about how their cocoa or their groundnut alone was used in building the country, such claim is laughable. Coal was discovered for first in this country in 1908 in enugu and the mining began in 1915/1916 and was used by the british to pop up tax and running their administration in the country throughout pre colonial era til post colonial era before the drilling of black gold (oyel) when the greedy and crafty masters (northerners) and their partners in crimminality abandoned the coal, palm oil and rubber which were in abundance in the east. So madam Zainab and co if you want to say the truth say it as it is and economising the truth will only make matters worse,or if you don't know then ask or learn. Some people had free education given to them while many people were denied the right to free education only for the mineral resources from our back yard to be used run the govt for peace to reign, please!please!please enough of the lies,it is the same bull sh!t you have been using to feed the yourselves for over 50yrs when only the crap you choose to tell the nation and the world is what goes without a challenge, and if anyone dares he disappears overnight or war would be declared against his people with impunity. It will be even more important if no matter how small or big the oil is in quantity that the poor people of all old eastern region to benefit more than any other people from this oil by way of making sure that money are invested in infrastructures, so people from the old eastern region wont always have to travel to far away lagos and northern region in search of the same oil money as all the oil monies are invested in far away places. But then for the people to benefit from this we must and have to use any necessary means to know and checkmate those who are involved in that very oil,and confront them when they don't deliver,I believe if we get this right then other eastern states will see it and also do the right thing for our brothers/sisters in the same region, and we must be prepared to resist the "owners of nigeria" and their agents(enemies of eastern progress in whatever guise) and the game of corruption they will be throwing, either by sabotaging this and things like that, finally we really need to set a good example with even the little or big we have and show something for it,anything less is vanity. |

So pathetic,if your "land" is why you and your islamic jihadist are snatching the lives of the many innocents in the north then have your "land"because life has value than that and if you are not allowed to live then what is the point. But remember that you have never spared anyone even those none muslim "northerners" you would like them to be on your side, when was the last time you treated them like your real brothers?apart from forcing your will against theirs and threatening everyone and dropping explosives everyehere even in the playing ground where their children play you don't spare, anyway all we want is a place where everyone counts and treated with respect and not this braggish lifestyle of your "born to rule"swagger and always forcing down the throats of others anything with impunity. Goodluck anyway. nagoma: @Ak47mann and @phreakabit
Even when we are talking about the serious issue of serparation in peace and having different countries , out of habit you cant resist hurling insults at the aboki, almajiri, goro chewing mallams. It is of course hard to change habits especially those caused by the gutter upbringing you guys must have suffered. Any way, away from all that my post is to congratulate the northerners in advance for the definite beginning of separation from the south and to encourage our brethren whose eyes are now wide open to the great advantages ahead when we have the true independence and have no southerners without visas in the north. 1. Resource; It is right for me to start with resource, control of which has been rammed into our ears ad infinitum. Oil is a natural resource that is in vogue and extremely valuable within the last 2 centuries because fossil fuel is used to drive engines. There are numerous other natural and equally precious resources obtained from the land. But you have to have the land first before finding out what it may contain. Land on its own is a natural recourse of profound importance after all it is the pieces of land joined together that make the world. We all know the importance of land and what misery and conflicts arise from lack of it. My Igbo friends are well aware of the importance of land. The deadly land war that claimed 50 lives in Ebonyi state is a recent reminder to how precious land is to people. I will remind you that the north has an abundance of this resource. Oyo state is the state with the largest land area among the southern states but its 28.454 sq km places it at no. 14 in Nigeria with the first 13 coming from the North and Niger state (76.363sqkm) is 2.6 times the size of Oyo state and 10 times the size of the largest Igbo state –Enugu (7.161sqkm). The entire 5 Igbo states amount to only half the size of Borno state. Compare the ratio of population per sq meter for the agricultural state of Kwara 64.4 persons per sq meter to that of Anambra State 863.3 persons per sq meter even before they all move back there. These comparisons can go on and on and we know that there is no northern state that has no confirmed mineral deposits,, Iron ore lead and zinc in Benue, Uranium, lead and Zinc in Bauchi, Copper and glass in Kano, Tin columbite and tantalite in plateau, Sapphire, aqua marine, gold etc in Kaduna. Gold and lead in Sokoto kebbi and zamfara. All of you know the crude gold mining going on especially in Niger and Zamfara states giving some people a life support but unfortunately killing so many children. All these need to be refined; we need the support of expert mining countries like South Africa, Chile, China and Australia. I will talk about trade and employment next and then agriculture. “NORTH FOR NORTHERNERS AND SOUTH FOR SOUTHERNERS"
