If you noticed I said in the last decade, let me be more clearer for you, a decade means 10 years.

Indeed his last 6/7 seasons in the EPL which is well over 25 years ago , he was abysmal he became a liability for Chelsea.

Please try again.
25 years ago was 1998, Torres was still playing for Chelsea as recently as 2013 which falls within last decade.

You can say that to Benteke .

Tell me one stiker that came from La Liga to the EPL and had immediate domination in the past decade just one not two.
Then let's see how many left the EPL and immediately had dominance in La Liga or Seria A. Too many players who struggled in the EPL become General and Chairmen on arrival in Seria A or La Liga.

Arnaut Danjuma a winger left Bournemouth in the Championship to VillaReal and became the highest goal scorer in the Club with 10 goals. Chukwueze has never scored double figures in La Liga.

Lacazette left Arsenal struggling to score goals as well as Balogun struggling to even get game time. Lacazette is just behind Mbappe with 27 goals and Balogun is joint number 4.

My former best Midfielder for Nigeria Etebo, went into the Championship and after two seasons was far from oustanding that accolade went to Eze and Olise. Even Mikel Obi did not dominate in the Championship either.

A 17 year old boy left Birmingham city in the Championship and immediately had domination in the Bundisliga he is now the most sought after and arguably best Midfielder in the world at 19 🌍. I'm talking about Jude Billingham.

There is NOTHING difficult about the Championship but Isaac Success was essentially woeful there. Omeruo was so good after two seasons with Middlesbrough in the Championship nobody wanted him. Jamilu Collins has got lost completely in the Championship although injury has not helped him.

Yet you jwnr the audacity to say there is NOTHING DIFFICULT about the Championship.🤔🤔

KC. has been RELEGATED to the Championship he will be starter because all the players who can move have left . That being the case KC should at least be the third highest goal 🥅 scorer for Leicester City in 2023/24 season in the Championship. Same follows for Paul Onuachu too.

Because according to you Football analyst supremo, the Championsip is easy . Go and look at Ismaila Sarr 39 games in the Championship and 10 goals. Do you think KC and Onuachu are better than him ❓

Nuff said.
Fernando Torres.

South Korea is fast becoming a hard team for the flying eagles.

They defeared us in 2005 as well.

Yes poor team, out injured for two months and scored 10 epl goals.Kudos to Awo boy
It's so nauseating reading that players from our youth ranks are ill-equiped for the premier league. Mikel Obi came thru our youth ranks and held his own in the same league.

Michael Essien came through the Ghanaian youth ranks and dominated the premiership too.

Note how he has never mentioned Richarlison who has just 1 goal despite playing regularly for a top team yet Iheanacho is always his problem.

Awoniyi reaching double digits in his first season is a testament that players who passed thru Nigeria's youth ranks can perform very well in the premiership contrary to the narrative someone loves to push on here.

It's even more impressive that he got those figures playing for one of the worst teams in the division.

Nigeria go decimate Brazil.

I watched Brazil first match vs Italy. I laugh tire. Italy leading 3-0 first half and the Brazilians were still trying to dribble and execute near impossible skill. I reckon they think this is 1998 when they had Ronaldo etc.

I’m very sure the 🇧🇷 will receive beating. No permutations, no draw, this is outright beating. The Dominicans first goal against us was the mistake and the team came back as they should, and also rightfully destroyed Italy.
Brosnan, I love ur optimism but u hv to lower ur expectations.

At this level, South American teams have always being our nemesis. We have never ever beaten any south American team at this level in over 10 attempts and this includes:

Peru
Venezuela
Uruguay
Chile and of course,
Argentina.

The best we've ever had was a draw against, well, Brazil in 2005.

True. Exactly why I made the post above. Not all of them belong to the "overage" category.
Oya, let's dimension the teams that can be potential winners and threats to the flying eagles.
The Americans and the hosts have looked very solid to me.

And maybe the Brazilians too.

Kid seems team-oriented. Just how I like my midfielders and players in general. He had a chance to talk himself up a little bit based on the fact that he has indeed faced some of those Italian lads back in Italy imstead he just kept it plain and simple saying "we can beat them if we play as a team".

I also love his ambition in this competition. He's not in a hurry to go back to AC Milan.😂😂 He wanna win this thing.

Good interview catch Basco. 🤝🏻🤝🏻

With Brazil's 6 goal margin victory they will comfortably top the group if they beat us. And with Spain expected to beat Dominican republic,, all 3 teams can end up with 6 points making the situation dicey.

I hope the eagles don't joke with the final group match against Brazil.

Besides, this is a chance for a first victory against South American opposition at this level for nigeria.

I'm indifferent about this Nwakali issue but I want to address the most compelling issue most of his critics have on here that is, he plays in la Liga 2.

First, we've had players from La liga 2 play for the national team without anybody complaining or calling to question the quality of such players. Examples are Sadiq Umar and Omeruo. And if we go a little back, we have Mutiu Adepoju.

Second, Accessing Nwakali solely on the point that he plays for a poor la liga 2 team can be a little bit misleading. What if the same Nwakali plays for a 'top' team that is not currently better than the team or league he plays in? Are we going to accept him?

I'm saying if Nwakali plays for teams like ASEC mimosas, Remo stars, chips United or in the Israeli league and makes the national team, will we still be complaining? These are teams that obviously are not better than la liga 2 teams.

Third, life happens.
The fact that he still plays in la liga 2 and no top club is coming for him does not necessarily mean he is a poor player. He might just not have the luck to be visible to top club.

Mitrovic is a proven premier league quality striker for example, but how many times has he followed Fulham to the championship without a premier league team or any top club demanding his services?

This is life..

Finally, Nwakali has never had a bad game for the NT.

I stand to be corrected on this one sha, but I don't think I've even seen a poor performance from Nwakali for the National team (U17, U 23, super eagles). From the Athletico Madrid game to the last AFCON, he has always put a very decent shift for the super eagles.

that you're sharing such images means you're below 17 years old or you're a sick person and don't understand that you're suffering from a sickness..
Now you are talking stupidly and you're saying thrash because u hv nothing sensible to say.

If u hv any iota of sense u would realize that this has a news value as it was a natural disaster so what's wrong in sharing the image?

And talking about if its ur family member.

When both of ur parents died, did u not invite photographers to capture the moment for future reference,?

Did u not video document the funeral and later showed it to ur friends and other family members? Is that not sharing so what's the point you're making?

Opponu u just want to talk.

When you present an argument it has more weight if it's balanced ⚖️ with facts and objectivity. You have made an assumption ( see the bold)

What is at stake pride and shame or victory and defeat. For the lower great pride and victory and achievement to beat a EPL team , the lower team is highly motivated to win. They will fight to the end.

For the EPL team the shame of defeat and the depression of loosing to a lower team. This motivates the EPL team to win , in addition players who are not first choice regulars, see it as an opportunity to prove they have the Quality to be first choice.

Players like KC who are not first choice it's an opportunity to score emphatic quality goals against lower level opposition.

In both cases all teams are highly motivated. For individual players it's a chance to show case their talents and get a huge big money transfer to a better team.

For example DJed Spence from Nottingham forest (loan) was a Middlesbrough player transfer fee of £20 million to Tottenham. His wages probably increase 20 time's what he previous was getting.

So you can see your assertion is wrong these games are hotly contested.

Manchester United fielded a full strength team not even any academy boys, see screenshot below. So you are completely wrong.
But then, Man U won this match na - comfortably, so we are basically saying the same thing.

If a premiership team features a full strength squad, then the lower teams have very slim chance of winning.

Walsall are below mid table in English League two that's the 4th tier of English football.

And Leicester city struggled to beat them 1-0, that's not an accolade or a to celebrate.
Man, u need to stop using this argument already.

A premier league club struggling to beat a lower league club does not necessarily mean the level of competition in the lower league is high, for one, remember the premier league teams often present very weakened side in such circumstances.

Again, this happens every where and all the time where teams from lower divisions upset teams in the elite division.

In Nigeria for example, during the state FA playoffs, even non league teams have always defeated mighty NPFL clubs.

Eyimba and Akwa united have been victims of this in recent times.

Our best performance was Just a draw (against Brazil 2005)
