Yujin:
OP, though I understand where you are coming from, you still need to be corrected. Asaba was formally in western Nigeria and was known part of what was called western Igbos by the British. Then, they were carved into the mid western region together with Benin shortly before the civil war. It was gowon who formed the first states that put Asaba into the old Bendel state. At present, they are part of Delta state after ABacha formed Delta and Edo states from Bendel state. So traditionally, Asaba though being Igbos were not part of eastern Nigeria. Let this put a permanent 'shut up' to mischief makers.
Nne, continue with your thread.
you are correct. But your explanation is on the political geography aspect. Most places in the so called 'south-south' actually fall within the geographical southeast. Places like cross Rivers and akwa ibom are even more south eastern than the political south east. If you hear foriegn media report events in asaba or Rivers state, they call them SE nigeria b'cos they rely on simple geography and not geopolitical categorization in Nigeria.

Nigeria is showing every attribute of a failed state, What surprises me is how a supposed sane and rational mind still manages to believe things would improve without restructuring , referendum or anything different from this status quo. When I see people shouting Nigeria will be great even in the face of the obvious structural flaws, Am left with the conclusion that majority of Nigerians are not sane
politics make people insane

EducationRe: NUC Declares NTI Degrees Illegal -channels Television. by Noneroone(m):
Funny...NTI does not feel bothered about the statement because they are also a sort of regulatory agency for teachers and as far as recognizing those degrees and certiticates are concerned, they are a major stakeholder. Even those who obtained degrees in other schools still need to register with them. So its not as easy as NUC thinks.

Nevertheless, NTI should get accreditation for their PGD programmes only and jettison the idea of awarding bachelors of education 'cos its not acceptable.
Nigeria is rotten. Every org. View their mandate in terms of revenue and bribery avenue, even NUC too. Otherwise, how come it they are declaring a programme that has run for years illegal, a programme that some lectureres and profs already attended. All for bribery.

pls stop sounding hypocritical. The idea of 'national unity' becomes important and must be encouraged when it favours some pple

you are shamelessly telling people that patriotism and nationalism are so lacking in Nigeria that a superstar featuring another musician must be viewed with the motive of achieving some phantom and inexistent unity in the country.

I dont blame you 'cos you've not been taught a lesson in Nigeria. Even Onyeka Onwenu that sang one love later admitted that Nigeria is not one.

Christianity EtcI Never Granted Interview On Biafra- Apostle Suleiman (Vanguard) by Noneroone(op): 8:49am On Jul 19, 2016
It's a long interview but i cut it short

There is this issue of your alleged stand against the Biafra struggle. And this has become an issue with some groups fighting for a Biafra nation. As a man of God and not a politician, how does this connect with you?
I have heard that before, that I granted an interview to some faceless interviewers against the agitations of the Indigenous People of Biafra which is not true. I’m not the one, it was an evil concoction. To start with, I’m a preacher and Ambassador of Peace for the United Nations. I’m not in support of violence, I was one of the pastors in Nigeria who spoke several times on live worldwide satellite TV broadcast for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
People who are jobless should look for something to do rather than fabricating stories that have no basis in order to confuse the people. Pastors should not be dragged into unnecessary debate and tribal rancor.

Stingman:
You are most likely poorly educated. See what one of your brothers who is well enlightened had to say..

"...They say a man without the knowledge of history is like a man without memory. As a northern Nigerian under the age of 30 I’ve always wondered why the Igbos tend to refuse to apply themselves very well politically.

I guess they’ve always wanted to be Biafrans (and justifiably so), not Nigerians. They didnt just want to ‘threaten’ Nigerian unity like they have always been accused of doing… I now understand where they’re coming from.

Just imagine if the Igbos were simply allowed to break away and form their Biafran Republic, how this entity called Nigeria would have fared. Maybe we will have ended up becoming prosperous friendly nations and economic allies with special ECOWAS relationships. And certainly the shameless massacre by the Nigerian and British governments will have been completely avoided.

Nigeria may be better off united economically and militarily, but the true yearnings of the peoples involved count more than mere economic growth on paper. Everyone has to feel among and feel important. Maybe, just maybe, if we were all allowed to go our separate ways we will end up becoming friends and allies and everything will eventually turn out for the better..." Abdullahi

This writer must be a lunatic and also suffering from brain disorderly. How many Yorubas does he know as regional pastor in RCCG? How many Yoruba does he know in Church of the Living faith and Oyarkilome Church?

Does he think Pastor is being made based on Tribes? If Hausas preferred to be Boko Haram and Igbo decided to be Militants, the RCCG should force them to be Pastor in their Church?

Stupid talk. RCCG does not belong to anybody, or any tribes, but Nigeria belong to everyone and so, it is very stupid of him comparing Church with Nigeria Government.

Idiot
i am sure you are one of their pastors

As a matter of fact, calling you a fl.a.th.ead is an insult to your fellow kinsmen coz you are more of a fish brain. You just repeated my retort, almost verbatim, yet you still called me a liar?? Your case is beyond redemption. You claimed ijebus deny being Yoruba based on what you claimed the Awujale was quoted to have said, when IN FACT the Awujale never made any such claims in the ONLY source you referenced and in fact he placed the same ijebus at the common origin of ijebus and other Yorubas -- ife. NOWHERE IN THE REFERRED REPORT DID HE DENY BEING YORUBA! Which is unlike your brothers in Delta and Rivers states who have severally come out to categorically and boldly deny being igbos -- AGAIN I DARE YOU TO CITE ANYWHERE THAT IJEBUS HAVE COME OUT TO DENOUNCE AND DENY BEING YORUBA.

You lot need to give this your attache by force a break coz it is becoming very embarrassing. If ikwerres reject you guys, live and let live, NO BE BY FORCE! Just leave Yorubas out of your confusion. Kapish!
i am not ranting anything ikwerre nonsense with you. My initial post wasnt on that and i hate making lowlifes feel important. I just stated the obvious which is that the ijebus claim they are not yorubas and not related to them. The link is there not that i give a Bleep about how you go about with the asslicking you guys call life. No Igboman cares about which group is yourba or not, maybe its because you are useless to them. But you always advertise your inferiority for everybody to see whenever Igbos open thread. Nevertheless I must state facts. Now stay off my mention
