The normal procedure is to apply for stay of execution from the court that gave the judgment.

you can apply for stay of execution from the court or court of appeal. Ikpeazu applied at the court of appeal so i dont know where this information is coming from.

But this 'order' show that the judge is acting out a script and should be cautioned.

the judgement is controversial just admit it. are Ikpeazu's lawyer the issuing authority? how can you have such a case without inviting the internal revenue service ?

the chief judge cannot be punished if she obeys the Abia state high court ruling stoping the swearing in. Every public officer and indeed citizen is bound to obey every court ruling . The issue of wrong judgement and judicial fraud rest with the appeal court and NJC respectievely.

When an Enugu state high court presided over by justice Nnaji ordered the withdrawal of ngige's security details, it was obeyed by the then IGP despite its glaring strange nature until appeal court set it aside. Same happened when Onyema ugochukwu was suddenly declared winner against ta orji. He waited until appeal court ruled on the case, though against him.

For those trying to stampede the Abia CJ into taking decisions in their favour, what happens if the appeal court rules on ikpeazus favour and oga heads for supreme court? Will they keep taking oat of offices here and there?

Oga and co are bound to wait for the appeal court. This shouldnt be an issue if the current political class are not lovers of anarchy and undemocratic elements.
