Streetinvestor2: You just dey cash out from this click and watch on some people..lol To be honest I don't know why the guy does it. The value of the content he is giving for free far exceeds what he could possibly earn from using the content or as a Job. I suspect someone will soon offer him a job and he will stop posting. Most Nigerian financial content creators talk rubbish but this guy knows what he is talking about (most of the time). Person go soon employ the guy |

Agbalowomeri: I don hear from the mouth of the oracle For me, once banking stocks start trading with earning multiple of 7-8 and or above book value, I don bounce. I become a global investor again. Venezuela will probably be looking sexy by then. Unless of course there is a crash in the consumer good sector of the market in which case I may reconsider depending on how deep the crash is |

mikeapollo: The first half of this year 2026 will be bullish due to political patronage from election campaign funds, new capital raise by insurance, banks, Dangote Refinery, Oando, etc. and the bull would continue up to the latter parts of the year.. There could be some bearish months getting near to election time i.e. first quarter of 2027. If everything goes peaceful and successful in the election, there would be massive bull throughout 2027, all things being equal. I guess valuations don't matter |

jonnysessy: I really hope my portfolio to reach a billion naira before i retire ( Just like Mankind in this thread ) What you could have ask me is how many units i hold in each company. Mr Emmanuelewumi's Presco units is worth more than this total portfolio. But, i am not relenting as my strategy had always been consistency. This is why my dividend improves every year ( I am a dividend investor ) N1b is less than $1m oh |

Streetinvestor2: It is absolutely wrong. Let the person buy at market price of the floor if 10 billion is small money. That means they are discounting it for an insider. Why should it be so.Is it not on the floor otedola has been buying FBNH I'm sure there is more to the deal than we are seeing right now. After all not all major shareholders would benefit from the discount and they will raise questions. Make shareholders wait for conference calls to get more clarity |

emmanuelewumi: N10 billion is chicken change to GTB.
Insiders want to increase their holdings and they don't want to buy on the floor, probably because it will affect the stock price.
The private placement of a thing is to get over 120 million units at a cheap price It looks wrong to me |

emmanuelewumi: Based on the type of the business they do , some of those earnings are not backed by cash
What I do is to add a premium of 60% to 80% to the dividend paid and take that as my EPS for the basis of my valuation.
If a bank paid a total dividend of N5, I will assume the EPS to be between N8 and N9 Fair enough. I don't agree but I understand why you think so |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 7:01pm On Dec 30, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri: We don tell Oga Nosa repeatedly o. Most of the bank earnings are fickle and not as "real" as sectors like consumers. I can't remember seeing PE of any bank beyond 5 in the last 15 years. Na GTB dey reach 5 sef because of the premium attached to it. If I am wrong I lose some money. If I am right you guys will turn to incremental buyers. Time will tell |

Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 5:06pm On Dec 30, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri: NGXBNK rose from 350+ to over 1500 within 2-3 years. Which other repricing are you hoping for? Now na fundamentals and dividend go determine price for banks Make I plug shamelessly small....... Based on today's closing price Zenith bank forward PE 2.53 Expected Return on Equity 21.53% Q3 Net profit margin 22.65% Eco-bank Transnational Forward PE 1.59 Expected Return on Equity : 25.82% Q3 Net profit margin: 19.86 Now I dare anyone to find a listed company outside the banking sector that has similar profit margins and return on equity that is trading at similar earnings multiples. Banking sector is grossly under priced relative to the market. I have asked questions from other investors as to why they think this is the case and I am yet to hear any valid reason. So yes, a repricing is necessary. Either the general market falls or the banking sector rises. The status quo makes no sense. P.S I have one more investment to make in the banking sector in the first half of January but aside from that I am invested in the two stocks mentioned and as such you can look at it as me trying to sell my market. |

mikeapollo: How do you conclude that repricing has finished? There are still items that would need time to ''reprice'' repricing just dey enter banking sector |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 1:22pm On Dec 30, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri: Repricing in dollar terms? Repricing has finished I am of the view that the repricing in Naira terms is just beginning. FGN budget has gone up, income for the population needs to go up, then assets will go up. Note that while some assets adjusted quickly others will take time, especially those that are used by the "masses" (non luxury real estate etc). I believe we are witnessing rent going up. With regards Geregu deal the buyers are betting that power sector issues will be solved. It is a bet I am willing to take not at these exchange prices though. Let gravity do a lot of work first. I can buy at market multiples though |

Streetinvestor2: I guess it answers the question u asked me..lol.Dearis God oh This is what I don't get, it took me months developing and tweaking the spreadsheet I am using right now to guide my moves in the market. That's not to mention the countless books, articles and news programs I watch just to catch the next opportunity. After all that work (and I know people who do a lot more work) you now expect that just by calling guru in the house you will get free advise? Lets be honest we are all taking educated guesses here, you win some and you lose some. Just yesterday I chop cool 8% loss on PZ wey I enter just before result. On the flip side what I rotated into seems to be doing the lord's work. My point is that the real "Dearis God oh" behavior is from people who just think that by coming to a free forum you can actually get good reliable investment advise. I can give advise oh, but only advise that I believe will benefit me first or at the very least wont hurt me by adding to demand or supply of what I am interested in. |
