Alot of improvement by ellah there.

I can't wait to see what the progress will look like in the new financial year.

Good job by the management.

New address of the head office now on the face of the report, I believed that debate has now been put to rest by the crusaders.

Accounting numbers are so funny that access to the same no doesn't meant we would have the same views.

The sp of ellahlakes has never been based on the current results but on the future many of the shareholders believed is real.

From now on, no more selling of ffb but palm oil. wth palm oil price flying currently, the sky is just a starting point.

Ellah to the moon.

Oyel money is real.. grin grin
Please what part of the result was good?

The improved cash position was a loan which we know will be converted to equity at a massive discount.

The increase in Biological assets was not impressive.

Please once again what was excellent about the result?

I'm not saying the result was bad but it certainly cant be called good.

I am not in Ellah anymore but I doubt the projection of 1.2billion in Profit after tax, or 4billion Revenue.

N250billion is not moi moi. If they buy a farm that expensive by year end, such plantation should yield way over that sum in revenue and profit after tax.

If N250billion cannot give up to 25billion in revenue then they better invest the money in Bonds and make over 40billion per year.
Using their figure of N1m to cultivate 1 hectare then a N250b plantain will be 250,000 hectares.

I'm curious as to what the total palm average in Nigeria is?

AI says total cultivated hectares in Nigeria ranges from 200k to 360k.

Hope you know how to scrutinize a financial statement?

Operating profit declining and administrative expenses rising sharply is not a good sign. Negative reviews of the company's services is increasing. The stock is now on full offer and -10% tomorrow is looking more probable. Anything can happen though. Let's wait and see
I use their services in Abuja or should I say I previously used their service. I switched to Fiber One because their service is RUBBISH. It used to be excellent but in the past year or so constant and long disconnection (I'm talking weeks/months). Then when they are compensating you for downtime they make it seem like they are doing you a favor. I jejely got another cable to my house from fiber one and voted with my feet.

Result is rubbish. See the price below N1

It is very easy to dismiss and negate an idea—very, very easy. Many stocks would have delivered good returns. Take Ellah Lakes, for example. I saw it when it was at ₦3, dipping every now and then below that level. If I had drawn the line at ₦3, I could have taken any supply below while selling each time it gained 5–10%.

There are many stocks in that category because they had either solid fundamentals or strong speculative hope—not just any random stock. Ellah is not the only one. Go and check the charts and you’ll see a number of stocks that maintained a floor until a rally eventually broke them out to the upside.

Of course, there is risk, but that risk is mitigated through careful selection and by working within a narrow buy-sell window. Anyway, I already know from this thread that you all have one way of thinking, and anything outside that must be considered wrong without critical justification. Please continue—your way is the only viable way.
Firstly what you are suggesting is either a pump and dump scheme or a mutual fund. Running the first is illegal and doing the second without a license is also illegal.

Understand this game joor, you will really do!!!
See the price of gtco, zenith, nb, ngx, dangcem, pz, and watch out for uacn today and tomorrow...........
You will really get it, as if the market is running away....,you will come back to tell us here. Keep Locolizing!!! Keep finding support!!!
We are all here, you'll come back to tell us your story.

I think what we can do here if we want to keep making money is to gather together and agree together on a sound stock together and be sure that we have enough fund to pull a stock together
Everyone here together, no more fighting and then we should agree on entry price and exit price of a beautiful stock with solid fundamentals together, no more junks we are not a junk community. We go in and carry every one along together targeting 100% a MONTH or 50% every 2 weeks each time. And then come out together on an agreed price with calculated volume and exit together

With sincere transparency. We can do this in bull and bear market together, that way every body will be happy together and we can build a strong community of wealth together. So you think japaul will not get to 5 and cwg 24, mecure 25, Honeywell 35, ngx 120, nb 150, international breweries 20 by this month if we support each otherhuh We have the fund together but we are not supporting each other together and we have forgetting that we are in thesame community together, so what's the advantage of the community we are in together

Word for taught and action immediately
Let's the leaders of the group go now and find us beautiful stocks with solid fundamentals in the market like cwg, tip, uacn, nb and we can start accumulating before Friday, that way we will shot by monday never looking back and come down by the month end with 50% together.

Are we readyhuh??
Na me go first betray the group. I'll start buying just before you buy and sell just before you sell.

Some of us can remember how some people bombarded this place with plenty sweet words about aradel when listed on ngx, they even gave us a time line despite some people telling us about the dilution they were coming with.

What is the story today, I'm not saying the fundamentals of the company is bad but to point out the fact that nobody can time the market and also numbers are not the only thing that determines selling price of a stock.

Why would someone speak authoritatively as if they know the direction of the Market.

We were all in this market when people were running away from Julius Berger not quite long at sub 30s what is the price today.

This question came right in time.

Currently, all my portfolios except Jaiz are red. Even the Jaiz self has reduced in return.

I have the following (with current return at -2.0% of the total money invested):

ABCTRANS bought at 5.42 - bought because I read a positive new about the company.

ARADEL bought at 528.53 - bought because the value is close to all-time low and based on technical/fundamental analysis

DS bought at 63.62 - bought because it is increasing, but didn't sell because it still has a strong fundamental

JAIZ bank bought at 4.53 - bought because I believe the bank will do well in the future

BUA Cement bought at 178.25 - ought because it is increasing. I didnt realize it was close to all time high

TRANSCORP bought at 52.70 - bought because it has a strong fundamental.

My plan is starting with 1.2million, but I have realized that these would turn into dust if care is not taken. How I wish I had read some previous conversion before making my investment decision.

Pa Emma, I was touched by your statement about "smart people learn from expert experience and those who want to learn from personal experience will suffer the most." Not that I'm learning based on my personal experience, but I can't factor out the fact that a 3 weeks old potential investor like me should be very patient. That I have money does not mean I have to make a wary investment decision.

megawealth2, come to my aid, edakun. You once said something about POVERTY and PROUDNESS. I am not proud o.

Streetinvestor2, nosa2, EDUCO, and others. E help wa.

PS:
1. I am potential investor, not really a trader. Currently running my PhD (Maths and Stat) in graduate school, so I don't have time for daily trading.
2. I am not interested in an interest based banks, breweries industries, gambling/lotto industry as well.

Apology for my brevity in typing..

I hope some are not viewing the N250 billion as a grant.

The massive dilution effects should be heavily considered. Then the extreme patience for both top and bottom lines to make sense

But I doubt if it will be up to N72 billion.

The talk of N72 billion was due to the guy who said the stock price would get to N100 and said for that to be justified Ellah must make a revenue of N72 billion, profit after tax of N36 billion and EPS of N10
We don't know the potential earnings of the mill so we can't judge. It's unfair to use the N70m as a basis because business just dey start.

Let the real business start then you can judge how big the business will be. According to the trust interview they won't hit Max earnings till 4 years time. So time still dey

Its so interesting seeing people feeling like the gods of the market.
What will you expect from someone that sold his Ella at 4 just because he believed it will turn back and never return, saying the same thing at 19 even though he regretted for selling at 4.

I wondered how people come here to predict the market they had no control over, I know at 10 you would have told the person that bought at that price the same thing.

A company we are yet to have metrics to value can swing up the way we never imagined if the valuation is more than what the majority are imagining and do the other way round as well when the reality hit the market.

Well, many of you will still eat your words when the price go above 20 like you have done in the past.

Ella is at the point that a news could change everything, people speculating are not stupid.

Every possibility is open here and that is the reality.
I'm not getting sucked into this nonsense

Till Ellah begins to make profit and pay dividends. At that stage you'll be chasing the bus at km 100
I know a guy who bought Okomu at N11 and sold for N70. Be used the proceed to buy a house in Katampe in Abuja. House he is currently living in with his wife.

Now the guy that bought from him at N70 has also made money of he is still holding.

My point is, I don't need to get in at the bottom in order to make money from a company. You buy now, I buy later, we will all make money.

Market no dey close tomorrow. I'm comfortable buying at a higher price of I get more clarity on what I am buying.

Check out the Math. Current equity is less than N25 billion, but want to raise N250 billion.

Probably people who invest in the planned N250 billion public offer, will own 45% of the business.

I don't think intelligent investors will buy that although we have more of emotional and unintelligent investors in the market

The best bet is for them to have a right offer, but I know that can't work. Because most of the current shareholders are looking for a greater fool. So a right offer can't fly
