Coolcash1: My response on Ellah Lakes. Follow who know road... Actually you should do your calculations and stick to your plan. Alternatively, give your money to a licensed fund manager to manage for you. |

HesInMe: This needs to stop.
Ellah is not some mysterious biotech firm with unpredictable product development pipeline and wide risk-reward profile. Its near-term catalyst is a mill, with a known capacity when completed, that will be selling product with a known price.
We're Nigerians, but we can do math too. People have gamified the stock market. They will learn that the market no send anybody Papa |

chinonsobest: In as much as we are not expecting a good 2024 result from Ellah Baby for the reason that we all know.
People like us has secured fund and sharpen our knife to load more of Ellah baby at a discount when the result is released. Because that is the only thing holding kilometre 20.
However, dont be surprise after the release of the result, the next day news of commissioning of the mill might surface. So dont be in a hurry to sell. If you know the game, you know the game. Go and ask Mega how we play it Do you have a fair price for ellah lakes and why. This question goes to everyone that is bullish on the stock. I'm just being curious |

yMcy56: Boss, you're very correct sir. Value is different from price.... ironically, traders pay more attention to price 😊 You're also right about the insurance perspective sir.
Interesting to know you have a platform..... I've checked it out, hopefully a gambler like me can fit in there.,😁 Try and invite Nsempa value investors as well, will find the knowledge there very useful too. How do you suggest I get people to come to the platform? |

crownprince2017: Try not to run faster than your legs, ellahlakes never start refining so you can't see something like this now but surely you will start seeing it soon after the mill is commissioned.
I don't think you even know anything about ellahlakes self based on this question.sq Ellah is setting up to be a good company. I would most likely buy back in but the journey is very long |

yMcy56: * Oga Nosa2, so recapitalization and transformation of insurance sector is Casino? Lol. Thank God the news is all over the media, it's not like someone in Nsempa is making it up. * You exited ELLAH prematurely ar circa N4+ when you couldn't see any value there again....but on the contrary, it has done close to +200% after that.
* Concerning Linkage, the Insurance Reform Act is a game changer......a situation where we may even see the worst among the listed ones performing excellently well than the solid ones.....depending on coming developments in the sector. ** The volumes we are seeing aren't for the fun of it.... * A year was given for this recapitalization, so things might not slow down too much as may be expected.
** That said, I may be limiting my posts here on Insurance related matters....let's allow Mr. Time to play its role. The kind of comments I'm seeing and reading by some guys are worrisome..... Do they think NGX or insurance reform is MMM or CBEX? People buy and sell for various reasons, and stocks fall and rise for various reasons as well. God sparing our lives, we'll all be following as everything will be unfolding in coming days. I know you know there is a stark difference between price and value. That Ellah has touched N12 does not mean it is worth N12. Do I regret selling, YES. Would I have sold if I knew the future? Hell no! How ever I did not know the future and I took the best decision based on the information I had at the time. With regards to the insurance sector I believe the biggest issue we have with insurance in Nigeria is cultural and I don't think the bill will address that in the immediate future. However, insurance companies invest in fixed income securities and equities and with both assets giving decent returns the insurance companies should be worth more than they are. So I am bullish on insurance companies but the last result from linkage just wasn't very sexy. Anyway make we dey try get these conversations on my platform na, ngxforum com Its more structured and focused solely on NGX conversations |

yMcy56: ELLAHLAKES on the move..... Above N12 at the moment... If seated, sit well.. If it resembles kpakus to you stay off... If e get to N20 maybe you fit see am as 🌴 😁
Meanwhile, this Linkassure offloaders doesn't seems to know what they'll eventually lose in near future in terms of revenue....... Smart investors with foresight picking anyway.... Linkage at below N2 is ordinarily cheap before....not to talk of the time Reform Act is signed into law.... Don't ask me how I did the calculations o, na numbers I just dey throw 😁 We are now entering casino territory. Once I take my loot from Guinness I will leave you people to enjoy the party. I do not share this your bullishness on Linkage. Last result was rubbish |

legacystore: Ellah stock price will certainly drop next week as short term investors will sell off quickly to move elsewhere. I dont know why they are trying to fly before they learn to crawl. I would have expected them to have allowed their plantation to reach max capacity before needing to raise more capital to expand (if needed). Also one thing that stood out to me with regards the X Q&A was that he kept insisting the raising capital via equity was cheaper than raising via debt. This goes against conventional wisdom. In any case whats the rush with the capital raise? Na siddon look I dey sha. Right now I am out of this boat. If things become clearer I will happily jump back in. Too many cheap stocks to die on this dividend free hill |

Streetinvestor2: That was soon my oga .Did you do your own calculations whr the company could be in the next 5 yrs based on 3 tonnes per hour capacity of mill even at full operations and all FFB being thr own I will be back in the company long before then. No need to tie down capital when gtb is still trading below pe of 3. Cadbury is trading at pe of 3 with Return on equity above 200%. These are actual numbers that I can see today |

Locotrader: Oga why you dey write thesis for practical things? Why you dey compare rats with rabbits? In as much as I believe Ellah is a growth stock, plenty things needs to be done
Why did they choose the option of diluting shares when they can sell commercial papers? Did others start by diluting shares? Check the outstanding shares of okomu and presco and check that of Ellah.Cant you see they are not in the same league?
My problem now is Ellah's latest results is not good, what prompted the rapid rise in price? When the audited result is announced in the next few months, this same share price will nose dive. They should do well and sell commercial papers. This is the only news I will appreciate than doing right issue or private placement/ public offer.
I have to thank Ellah for rewarding me to where I think I can stop until I see the next line of action which must be a positive one that can impact on the top and bottom lines. I was a bit surprised when the CEO mentioned they were prioritising equity fundraising over debt. That said, it's still early days for the company, and the road ahead is long. I exited my position at N4.29 and may consider re-entering in the future. For now, I see several mature companies trading at deeply discounted valuations, and I can't justify tying up capital in what is essentially still a startup. |

BabsO2: As long as ELLAH mgt do a good job taking off into growth it’s good. In successful ventures the growth phase returns profit that multiplies money like x10 in a shorter period than more mature businesses. New ventures also carry risk of failure. But if there is no failure money multiples like x10 in less than a decade. you see Ellah doing 10x in 10 years?? I see it doing 10x in 10 months |

Seems the numbers of traders has grown exponentially! Guess the various apps that enabled pseudo real time trading has helped.
Could also see that there are now a number of billionaires here. Please do take away for the rest of us.
Could also see interests in dead, about to die, living on life support companies.! That's the way to learn by paying appropriate school fees.

Streetinvestor2: So no bank loss 10% from the news today. If you entered today be happy with your small buy discount. The banks will recover tomorrow or next. The news no even get wait be dat.Na just another news. The media made it sound loud. No go dash person your asset come become him maga. My advise is to wait for results to come out before knowing which banks to invest in. Profits are going to take a hit from non performing loans. Plus it's not like this market reacts quickly to news so there'll be plenty of time to buy. If you're not holding Ellah or consumer goods companies; hold cash. Banking sector is not very clear right now |
