It will have another rally . Just a matter of time. Another good news is on the way
That's a possibility. It's also very possible we would not touch N19 for another 10 years.

They question then becomes whether they can stomach these losses without going into panic mode.
Some of the people that FOMOed into Ellah at N19 are having deep meaningful conversations with themselves.

Some will panic-sell, only to see the stock prices bounce back and even past their loss position. I think they will recover in the next general bull.

Just that if you lose 50%, you will need a 100% gain to return back to the break even position
The game is the game. And God knows I love this game

You should crunch the figures.

ROE is not reliable because it does not include the debt portion of the capital structure.

Eg

A company made a profit after tax of N10 billion, finance cost is N4billion equity is N20 billion and and debt is N30 billion.

This will give invested capital of N50 billion .

The return on equity will be N10 billion/N20 billion multiplied by 100 to give ROE of 50%

ROIC will be N14 billion/N50 billion multiplied by 100 to give ROIC of 28%
I disagree with this. Want you're saying is that leverage is bad and I believe leverage is good.

I really wish you'd stop talking about loans for stock investing on this public forum.

Borrowing at high double digits to bet on stocks is a bad idea for most people. And by bad, I mean ruinous, you-become-someone-else's-bitch, dem-curse-you-for-village? bad.

Don't do this at home, kids. This is not your turn to shine (or whatever marketing trick they use to seduce you).
There is nothing wrong with borrowing to buy stocks. Just make sure you know what you're doing and you're not FOMOing into the market

They are all a one-off devaluation effect

From 2005 to 2022, how many banks have done 2 baggers in 17 years?
Past performance is not indictive of future performance.

Nigeria's future will be very different from it's past

"They" need to learn that a 50 kobo stock that earns 5 kobo per share is more expensive than a N1000 that earns N500 per share.

Price is just a number

Personally, I don't want to believe the revenue figures quoted by Ellah Lakes.

I believe it is higher than that.

Micro and smaller businesses are generating more N70 million revenue in 9 months
Sense is slowly coming back into the building

I think estimate can made if they can seek the service or advice of companies like Okomu and Presco with so many years of experience in the oil milling business.
I'm sure after running the milk for a few months they'll be able to give accurate estimates

I also think 4 years is feasible.

But they should let shareholders know that this is what we will deliver in terms of revenue, gross Profit, operating profit in 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029

So that uninformed shareholders won't build a castle in the air
They can't make accurate projections when milling never start.

They'll be estimating uptime which will be hard to do given the so many potential unforseen circumstances

I want to take away 100m off from the market and lock it in Wema-Alat fixed deposit for 365 days.
I want to take the interest upfront.
After deducting the 10%,I will receive 15,756,000 as interest for 12 months.

Is this a wise decision since I don't want to keep it in the stock market?

17.75% per anum

Pls make Una put mouth
Go my side. I've posted a good fixed income product that can give you much better returns.

Ellah lakes can do better than this.

I know this company can start getting revenue in billions of Naira from 7 to 10 years time if the management starts working smart and is financially prudent in the management of Ellah lakes.
10 years is too far oh. I'm looking at like 4 years time

It's not very simple like NL threads, maybe it's because I'm used to NL, could be much simpler than NL eventually.

I sincerely wish we could all migrate there to develop the site.
Any success with inviting Oga Wanaj0 and Oga Oracle?

I am waiting to see how low ELLAH will come down back to. I will rather take more bets on ELLAH at N9 or N10 (as speculative investment biased speculator) should it fall back that low (or N12 sef). I have very old leftover Japaul will ride that should Jegede play the game or not play the game. There is a chance he won't.
I'm waiting to see Q2 result. There is no rush

I plan on having a crypto thread as well. Because it's segmented people can ignore whatever they are not interested in.

Las las we are all speculators at different positions in the speculation continuum. At an extreme end are Fundamental investors who have a portofolio tilted towards bonds and currently solid stocks with strong FA ratios (they speculate growth and or earnings are iron clad). On the other extreme end are traders that day, week or month trade (speculating their TA signals and other betting assumptions and signals will not fail) and the rest in between and mixing everything together.
Traders like Loco make money oh but... my liver no carry am.

I have 10m units bought at 2.20 some weeks back.
These purchases below were bought at 2.90-3.0 just 2 days ago.

I will have extra purchase of 5m units tomorrow.

This is going the way of Ellah lakes. That N500B can't happen without price spike. We are waiting to cash out at least 100m here in due time.

The deal is almost closed as we wait for notice anytime from now.
My brother, you will probably make a lot of money but you guys are the OG cowboys
