HeadNigga:Like seriously.....your premise is so out of place or you want to tell me that you'd be considered a disgrace because some people with first and second degrees are a disgrace? Choose what you want with what you have and don't claim your decision because someone is doing the wrong thing with what he has. |
Amspecial: ![]() He's doing that already.....allow a wicked person to rule so that you people can learn |
OgunkeelAllMod:Na you sabi.... One Google event I attended where the woman was a speaker, one of the thing she said that I hold on to is "if I've worked myself tired and I'm about to sleep at night, then my phone rings and somebody says I need your services, the tiredness wears away instantly. Why? Because hustlers never sleep and this Funkẹ that you're looking at, is an hustler". That's what people on this thread are praising. We don't care about the rest. Make name for yourself firstly, then we'll see whether you have time to write this about Funkẹ Akindele. |
suffering:You really hate schools? Well, you should because you're in Nigeria. The principles applied in the real world you mentioned are discovered through years of research experiences by scholars. Some other time, someone will say Steve Jobs didn't finish school. That true. But he realizes what education means and so thousands of people with PhDs are the ones driving R & D in Apple. |
wink2015:Both Nkrumah and Azikiwe enjoyed a certain degree of high-handed that attracted the military boys. We can say that Azikiwe was a ceremonial president but being a commander-in-chief of the armed forces is not ceremonial. He had certain degree of influences within the Balewa government also. |
GeorgeTheCoder:In fact, he should go and find out what's happening at the University of Ilorin where Muslims have a majority control. A federal university for that matter. It's insane he posted that. Femi Osibona's religious fanaticism is not what collapsed the building, greed did that. So why is Farouk bringing this up? To enlarge the divide between Muslims and Christians in the Southwest? |
istina:Relationship expert da kanor manage relationship well, is dah one an expert? |
![]() What's the goal of the post? To provide intellectual enlightenment: × To Stimulate interest in the history of the Igbos: × To Stimulate interest in West African history: × To show how one tribe is greater than another by showing its independence nature: ✓ Africans, especially Nigerians have dwell in this lane for long and for as long as they keep dwelling here, their mental capacity will never exceed their tribal domineering tendencies. It will never move them towards cohesion needed for development. In short, they will never develop because no where in the world does development happen exclusively within a group. There are always influences of outsiders gotten through cooperation and peaceful relationship. |
Miroslavv:I get many NORMAL friends wey do the course, male and female, dem don even start master's for the course and nothing happens to them. But if you ment before, philosophy can multiply your "menting" for you. If you be philosophy student wey get mind wey open all the time, you no go get problem. But if you lazy and new ideas dey carry you away anyhow, no go do philosophy o. |
To a large extent, they are right. Putting sentiments and tribal superiority aside, each of the major Nigerian tribes have their strengths and shortcomings. But the problem I've observed among the masses and people at the lower wrung of the ladder is the tendency to show that "my tribe is better than others". This is why tribalism is so rife on Nairaland here. At the top economic ladder, among the political, religious, economic, academic and entertainment elites, there is no tribal superiority. Superiority of interest is only what matters. On another note, this handbook if it is indeed by the US Army, shows why Nigeria deserves a loose central government if it is to prosper. How can you glue all these distinct people together and govern them with a feudalistic ideology that is alien to most of the other regions except the regions that has had much control over the country? Until we get internal independence from the feudalistic mindset, Nigeria may keep struggling. |
Aren't these prices the everyday prices? What now differentiates the so called Black Fridays from the ones that are not black? |
JerrieBoss:Some claim patriarchy is the problem. But do men dress shamefully like this to exert dominance? Do men trend by releasing their nude pictures and shouting sexual harassment at any given chance? I've seen some very great women on whose charge I would never insult the female folks. But these female Celebs are not helping matters at all. |
Skmoda360:When someone's talks like thrash, you should know the kind of a person he is. Do we ask thrash why it's trashy? |
josh123:Then you're marrying a body and not a woman. And when the marriage is set, the woman in the body comes up and you get fed up with the marriage? |
Lollittaa:We would have blamed them for demolishing it too. |
Toxic capitalism! Only God knows how much values we will have left with this idea of "make it anyhow" that determines how we do things. Imagine a high rise building of the sort, built in that substandard manner. People should should spend decades in the prison over this. |
I'm so glad nobody replied the tribal idiot who commented on the first page by insulting his entire tribe. It's a sign that we're indeed maturing. The Nigeria of today both its good sides and the bad sides are made up of all the ethnic groups. No single ethnic group is responsible for the good or the bad things in Nigeria today. |
