You really hate schools? Well, you should because you're in Nigeria. The principles applied in the real world you mentioned are discovered through years of research experiences by scholars.

Some other time, someone will say Steve Jobs didn't finish school. That true. But he realizes what education means and so thousands of people with PhDs are the ones driving R & D in Apple.

The problem that the south is facing in the hands of the northerner politically, economically, moving forward etc are largely caused by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe believed in a PAN NIGERIA SYSTEM.

A system he copied from the late Kwame Nkrumah who believed in a PAN AFRICA SYSTEM which he called THE UNITED STATES OF AFRICA.

Unfortanately, the late Kwame Nkrumah ( Oseyifo ) did not live to actualize his dream for Africa before he was overthrow by the military while he was on a trip to North Vietnam and China in February, 1966.

late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe also did not achieve the PAN NIGERIA DREAM that he was promoting as the northerner seize the central government and turn it into their own private properties.

Nigeria is presently in economic difficulties as a result of the activities of the former ceremonial president of Nigeria, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Both Nkrumah and Azikiwe enjoyed a certain degree of high-handed that attracted the military boys. We can say that Azikiwe was a ceremonial president but being a commander-in-chief of the armed forces is not ceremonial. He had certain degree of influences within the Balewa government also.

To a large extent, they are right. Putting sentiments and tribal superiority aside, each of the major Nigerian tribes have their strengths and shortcomings. But the problem I've observed among the masses and people at the lower wrung of the ladder is the tendency to show that "my tribe is better than others".


This is why tribalism is so rife on Nairaland here. At the top economic ladder, among the political, religious, economic, academic and entertainment elites, there is no tribal superiority. Superiority of interest is only what matters.

On another note, this handbook if it is indeed by the US Army, shows why Nigeria deserves a loose central government if it is to prosper. How can you glue all these distinct people together and govern them with a feudalistic ideology that is alien to most of the other regions except the regions that has had much control over the country?

Until we get internal independence from the feudalistic mindset, Nigeria may keep struggling.

I blame the lagos state government for not demolishing that building right after it was sealed off. They had the duty to protect lives and failed at doing that. Unfortunately this is Nigeria where anything goes.
