Bros so you use diesel abi, guess you will understand the pains business, manufacturers, schools, hotels etc are going through. Most are staying open just so the business does not die, nothing like break even, not to talk of profit. Most are burning through their capital to stay afloat. We alternate between 2 unit 100kva, 1 unit 350kva, 1 unit 80k, 1 unit 150kva, 1 unit 30kva.
You can imagine the astronomical cost of operating them. Infact it is as if the business is running just to pay the diesel supplier.
Imagine trucking. Yesterday, I had 80% diesel in my van tank. I bought 50k diesel top up, e no full! shocked
Jeez! 80Kva to 350kva? I nor wan even think am. My small 15kva for personal use dey do me shege for 6hrs. Like 10k don burn per day if light nor dey. Not to talk of 80kva or even 350kva for business. Na wah oh.

Lol. PMS is doing catch up. Been buying diesel for N1,700.

I avoid the temptation to multiply the number of hours the diesel generator was used by estimated number of litres consumed. 😁

Just the necessary basic things of life and basic standard of living are all what just Nigerians are asking. We're not asking for luxuries, not to build houses, buy cars, clothes and shoes but just the basic necessity of life, which is to have a means of livelihood, basic job, food and shelter to survive.
That's why you could stay in a small house or room abroad but you won't really mind because of the social amenities available to you.

Nazgul:
What exactly do you spend you money on that you'll blow 200k in a week?

If you're not sending up to 50k monthly on transportation, I don't see any reason why you should exhaust the money in a week.

Unless you've adopted a lifestyle you certainly cannot afford. Anything aside that, it's literally impossible to spend such money in a week.
Lol. Maybe he dey take Glenn 21. So it's not impossible to spend in a day.

Not half bad. The writer is quite good.

However, Tinubu supported the North while they pillaged our resources because of his own future ambitions.

He's just as culpable as the Northerners the writer is trying to drum sentiments against.

Business › Re: Go And Sell Off Those Dollars by NothingDoMe: 8:39pm On Feb 27, 2024
nairalanda1:
Hokay, what was NIgeria producing when dollar was less than 6/1$?

Or when it was less than 1/$1?

Your currency has been falling since 1973, from 1 to 1, and you are here to boast about N200 to one dollar? Back when oil prices were so high we were raking in lots of dollars and using 5 billion dollars to defend the naira as a result?

Or you want to talk about the debt we eventually incurred keeping naira at 200, or at 1 dollar?

Am sure you think I am defending tinubu? Hahahahaha...no.

Tinubu was forced to end the goodies because his economist and advisers told him there was no more money in the bank (though he then went on to buy new cars and do lavish spending..lol).

Nigeria is not a producing country. That is why you are here rejoicing over N200 to 1 dollar, and tinubu fans are rejoicing over N1600 to one dollar, when it could have been 1 to 1...if we had been an industrial country for decades!

Nigeria has to be a producing country , not a oil dependent country that when oil drops, we start borrowing to keep the good times going.
3rd most impressive comment.

A lot of top civil servants and political office holders are now keeping their loot in crypto. In fact, Binan.ce played a very significant role in the recent collapse of the Naira. Since the crackdown on the exchange last week, there has been relative stability in the exchange rate. One of the easiest way to launder money is through crypto. I'm a crypto enthusiast but with what I've seen so far, i support any move to generally regulate the industry.
Propaganda. Same when Emefiele accused abokifx of manipulating the dollars. Banned their site while simultaneously pumping in dollars to increase the value of Naira.

Meanwhile the current CBN rate is going up while blackmarket is coming down. 1660 as against 1610. Stabilisation my butt.

Melagros:
COMRADES, the article says; unsold goods pile up. This means that we're suffering in the midst of plenty and this implies that we are the cause of our problems
“The development is as a result of the devastating effects of the exchange rate crisis, inflation, fake and sub-standard goods, smuggling and other macro-economics challenges.

“These had put many manufacturers in a great dilemma in the current year as they are applying brakes on production by watching keenly events in the country to know if there would be improvement in sales in order to create space for fresh production for the year.”
They couldn't sell what they produced last year.

Who are the most vocal on social media again?
Anyone can create a poster and start a trend taking advantage of the worsened economic situation no thanks to our current senile President.

As much as we'd like to take credit for every single voice of opposition and online protest challenge, a lot of us are really busy in real life to eat sleep and dream of Tinubu.

Once he builds Nigeria the way he built Lagos, there won't be any need for all the protests and finger pointing.
