The US is Canada's largest trading partner. In present times, they work and share all sort of information together, so it is easy for them to continue to work together for a common good.

I heard about it on the radio last week that the Canadian government was going to send their official to the US embassy here in Nigeria to tackle this issue of visa abuse.
