Earlier this afternoon, we responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital. This turned into an active shooter situation.

It took the effort of the police to drive down and engage the shooter, else more could have been dead.

If those many guns have been put to the alleged defensive use as the common point to guns freedom in the US, less would have been injured or dead... The fact that there are others who are severely injured, hike the risk of more fatality beyond the 3 confirmed.

Free gun ownership in the US have not protected the citizen so far, but rather endangered them the more...

I think the numerous gun ownership by many household is simply fantasies and showoff.

The moment the police knew it was an AR15 rifle, they backed off and waited for tactical unit. Some people called them cowards, but they have family to look after.

AR15 are no joke. They year tissues, break ones and in over 90% of gunshot from AR15, victims are not recognizable.

The thing is, it is one thing to own guns, it is another to have the confidence to engage a shooter...

The people with the confidence to engage in the US are not much, even though almost everyone of them owns a gun. This is why long hour mass shooting persists without anyone to engage, even though many of them walk around with guns... They will rather Dail 911, by then many of them must have been dead.

Have you not seen a scenerio where by someone has a weapon to defend him/herself but too petrified (for his/her own life) to use it when attacked? This is the America case.

Every year, over 10k people murder through gun violence, mostly innocent people are the victims, but they have this much guns in many household... Are they keeping the guns for photos?

Many times, it takes the arrival of the police to stop a random shooter, but the citizens own guns like the random shooter, but still can't defend and protect themselves? Do you guys think at all.
