Nairaland General › Re: How Has Nairaland Helped You? by NOwazobia: 5:09pm On May 11, 2023 |
One major reason I often visit nairaland is when I hear a particular news that is trending and equally awkward, just to see the contribution of punches and jokes from the community, which usually makes me laugh and sometimes infuriates me, which makes me sometimes quote some replies.
Especially in the area of football, though not a fan, I am always interested when top teams are playing and being beaten, I quickly rush to Nairaland to see all the funny mockery and tears. I guess I pass as a sadist in this regard.🤣 |

Secondly,it has saved me from depression alot of time, especially during the times when I was jobless......Also, I've equally met alot of good pals from here.....Ones who have really impacted me positively.....I don't wanna mention any name, but truly truly through nairaland I realized that Nigerians are generally good people, irrespective of the tribal bashing which we've found ourselves in.. ivolt: Ekweremadu's sentence is a misapplication of justice. Anyone who can think deeply will understand.
He was convicted of "slavery" even when it was clear that the boy was paid even before the job was done. Since when do slaves get paid for service to be rendered. You actually lack the ability to think deeply if you think that paying 1000 naira for a job of 10,000naira out of the naiveness of the victim is not slavery. But you abused the foreigners of overworking and abusing Nigerians in their industry and giving them monthly peasant sum, of enslaving Nigerians. Again, you lack the ability to properly critique. Most Nigerians are, the reason we are still at this level as a nation. |

1Sharon: "Didn't know what a kidney was"
That is very telling! many of you like the young man in the case don't know what a kidney is. You only hear of the word because it is mentioned often, but do you know its function, its shape, its position, and implication of one or more getting damaged? That is what amounts to knowledge, not just hearing of the word "kidney". |
Politics › Re: Details You Did Not Know About The Ekweremadu Case By Emeka Ugwuonye by NOwazobia: 6:02pm On May 06, 2023 |
Blazebond: And you ignorantly think the 21 year old MAN don't know what kidney is? You are the clown here, hahahaha. You are actually the clone if you think a street hustler offered 270k/4.5 million for kidney sale is not exploitation and corruption. You guys are so used to corruption that you love your chains. How many people know what kidney is, or you think that hearing the mention of name always amounts to knowledge. Does he know the function of the kidney in the human body? Most people don't know even though they hear the word often. Does he know the medical implication of the living with only one kidney?... Let's say he knows, does he look like someone who can finance the after health challenge that will Emanate from the transplant, even with 4.5 million naira, let alone only being offered just 270k from the money? Does the doctor look like someone who properly educate the lad of the procedure, else he wouldn't have manipulated the boy into receiving 270k naira? What so ever angle you want to look it from, the boy was being exploited, and we usually witness it in this country, but I guess you are used to such abysmal lifestyle that you now sympathise with your oppressors. Rubbish. |

Most of comments shows how Nigerians love their corrupt leaders.
Because the boy is a nobody, it now becomes a scam, while your senator who is a monumental failure and a public thief is now a Saint because he was sentence, or because his daughter is involve...
The comments alone justify the boy desire to stay in the UK, because it seems most Nigerians are cursed to ass lick corruption in their leaders.
Well, enjoy your chains. |

simply22: The simple answer is: Yes, justice can prevail in Nigeria.
The reason why justice has not been prevailing in Nigeria is because of the people. In Nigeria, people worship money and that is why every body wants to kill themselves to be in politics so that they can have and stash away huge amount of money they don't work for. So, what is the difference between what he/she said, and what you said now? |
