Yes, we have many soul musicians in Nigeria and the soul music industry is also growing. But the percentage btw Club and Soul in Nigeria is like 90/10.
In Tanzania, it is like 50/50 or 40/60.

Educated and enlightened Tanzanians seem to have more good looks and poise far than their counterparts from Kenya and Uganda on the average.

Education came to the northern areas many years decades later than the south.
The british colonialists agreed with the northern islamic rulers to prohibit the activities of missionaries in many parts of the north, so this prevented the missionaries from building missionary schools in the north as much, unlike the south which enjoyed missionary schools to the maximum.
The northern terrain is far more difficult and vast than the southern terrain which is smaller and simpler. So, the south is easier to penetrate with infrastructures and amenities (including schools).

Islamic schooling culture had already been entrenched in the society of many northerners before the british came, so, they somehow cherished it more than western education (even till date).

The north is divided into 3 geo-political zones. Most muslims in the north-central are liberal muslims like yoruba muslims in the south (but a little stricter). While most muslims in the north-west are extremist like Somalians. The North-east muslims are a mixture between 'North-west like' and 'North-central like' muslims. But the north-west like muslims have the upper hand there.

The station doesn't show Tanzanian movies, it seems they had no movie to show then, what we enjoyed was the Mexican soap operas, then indirectly we saw some of their local music videos. Also the old nollywood( which was made for local viewing and had more of the witchcraft) was/is not popular among Nigerian youths.
But let me ask you, do you have beautiful Kenyan girls like Dillish of Tanzania from Big Brother Africa? From my observation only Ethiopian beauty comes close to that of Tanzania from East Africa but we do not see them regularly in BBA nor do we see their musical videos.

Many can manage to write some English but cannot speak fluently. Some of them have the questions translated to them in Hausa first before attempting them.

well, I think it's different stroke for different folks....the northerners find is difficult to mingle with the southerners except the literates among them,so, they may find it difficult to migrate to the south and start a living.

Some people consider Bauchi and Gombe as Hausa states even though the majority of the people are just Hausa-speaking minority ethnic groups. It's sad that many of the indigenous languages is only being spoken by the elders and not spoken by the young people anymore. Even though Hausa is a good medium for communication, many young people are not learning the native language as their first language anymore and have switched to only learning just Hausa the same way many young people in the South are loosing their native tongues to Pidgin. I think Nigeria needs to promote these languages and encourage speakers of them. More than 25% of the languages spoken in Africa are in Nigeria or 7% of the total world's total language. Nigeria is the third most linguistically diverse nation in the world and it would be a shame to see many of the languages disappear. The sad reality is that many of these languages are very vulnerable due to the few number of speakers but also the high rate of urbanism, so it's all a matter of time.

Hmm, u seem to know quite much about the north.

It's so unfortunate. Half of Nigeria's language are going to go extinct in few decades from now (including my own language). Half or 2/3 of my own people have switched to Hausa and adopted it as their mother's tongue.

As for Bauchi state, most native languages there are already extinct or at the verge of extinction. Bauchi and Plateau people are of same ethnic stocks, but because most Bauchi people were islamized, Hausanization was faster in Bauchi.

Hausanization has had the advantage of uniting people from dozens of ethnic groups in the north. it wouldn't have been such a bad idea to most northern minorities if not for the unprogressive nature of the Hausas themselves.

You can blame the politicians for the chaos witnessed btw the North and South.

You can also blame the perpetrators of the first coup, causing black blood btw the two.

I also think many Southerners are not willing or interested to know about the North. Most already conclude with pre-conceived stereotypes.

Nigerians never had a meeting centre. Thank God Abuja is now providing this (as a more central location for all Nigerians).
Lagos was more or less a meeting and developing point for only Southerners.

Southerners really had so much advantage over Northerners.

I don't blame Northerners necessarily. It's not good to generalize the North as Islamist backwards because there are hundreds of ethnic groups from various religious background. There are Yorubas living in the North, Tiv, Idoma, Igala, Nupe, Gbagyi, Berom,Kamwe,Tyap etc not just Hausa or Fulani. I would love for the minority in the North to have a distinct region of their own. The North central is good, but it's not entirely inclusive of all minorities. Hausa people are not bad nor Fulani, even though there are some who partake in violence. It's not good to paint the people with a broad brush. I think if there is better regionalism, the distrust could lessen.

Apart from Southern Kaduna and Southern Kebbi minority groups, North-central includes all the Northern minorities.
North-east is a minority region too, just that they are 2/3 muslims and Hausa-fulanis know how to use islam as a rallying point.
