Dem nor dey fucck ashawo two times say you nor pay money |
MtuMsuper:Hahaha, when countered with hard facts, this is the way you guys evade. You guys probably thought Nigerians were low self esteem people who will watch you come and display your ill manners here and ridicule us on our own forum without a fierce rebuttal. Hope you guys know how it sucks too. Kenyans and most east Africans are not adventurous and are very local people, so don't expect any in Nigeria or elsewhere. Nairobi is the farthest their little minds can go. The few Kenyans who have experienced Naija will never want to go elsewhere e.g Victoria Kimani who has both American and Kenyan citizenship but choose to base and remain in Nigeria where her music career has more prospects for success. The other Kenyans in Naija are mostly women busy in deliverance churches in Nigeria or carrying the pregnancies (babies) of Nigerian men. ![]() |
uzzyfire:Oga pls stop this kind of terrible statement. I am from the North-central but yet i have been defending the nefarious activities of your people (from the south) who have tarnished the image of Nigeria with kidnapping, drug dealing, international prostitution and huma trafficking, ritualist practices, scamming and defrauding. We Middlebelters and northerners are also suffering for crimes your own people commit. These are the prices we all have to pay for a big and diverse country. |
nkwuocha1:Oga, everyone, especially most African nations have pros and cons. Nigeria has been able to manage her large and diverse population as the largest country in Africa and is still making some progress, but Ethiopia, Sudan and Congo who had the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest populations in SubSaharan Africa with all their rescources have all been divided by ethnic, religious and political wars today and are like shadows of their past. If it was easy to manage a large and diverse population and still make progress, why couldn't Ethiopia, Sudan and Congo who are all about half of Nigeria's population do it? Egypt the only large African country working well and better is 90% homogenous with one ethnicity and religion. Nigeria even deserves kudos and praises for making it this far and still showing the world that a large diverse Black African nation can still make some progress united. |
nkwuocha1:You are a very sentimental person. Learn to shelf your sentiments when engaging in a public discourse. You are not the only one frustrated about happenings in Naija. Many of us are, even worse than you are. The only difference btw us and your likes is that we have learnt to juxtapose sentiments with fair analogies and underlying causes of issues and not just how they are bloated from the surface. Yes population is an advantage and disadvantage, i'm glad you said that. So, i hope you do will not deny that there are aspects in which Nigeria has used her large population beneficially as much as our large population is causing harm to us. So, why is it that your likes prefer to augment only our negativities? You cannot really compare China a communist Nation where things are done by force without the people's opinion to a democratic Nigeria where everyone has a say in aspects like dealing with corruption and other issues. That is terrible analogy. Talking about restructuring, yes i am very much in support of it. However, some states in Nigeria have proven to us that with or without restructuring, Nigeria can still work. Gombe state is not an oil producing state and infact they have one of the lowest internally generated revenue in Nigeria because it is a 'baby' state created in 1996 with no financial or industrial centre, but this state has some of the best roads, health care centres and schools in Nigeria (for their small population). How was this possible?? The Nigerian federal govt does not give a hoot about tourism, but how did Cross river state transform itself to a hub of tourism in west Africa with no oil derivation money?? Look at Lagos state and see the kind of progress it is making, what about Akwa Ibom state (with the former governor)? The problem with many Nigerians is that we focus on the federal govt too much, forgetting or pardoning our state govts to do whatever they like with the billions of Naira they receive and generate. What stops our state govts from developing their own electricity (as Lagos and Enugu states are planning on doing)? What stops them from creating their own industries and exporting the products of their own industries? Nigeria needs restructuring, yes, but even without restructuring, we can still make tremendous progress, but this to a large extent depends on your state govts. Some fools expect the federal govt to build primary schools for them, they expect the FG to tar their streets or clear their gutters for them. Is that not the height of stupidity? |
See gobe |
nkwuocha1:And if Kenya had as much population, ethno-religious diversity and faulty colonial policies as Nigeria. They would have been divided or been in irredeemable chaos like Sudan or Congo. |
nkwuocha1:Chinese and Lebanese people migrate all over the world to the extent that Ghana deported thousands of Chinese illegal workers some years ago. Does than make Ghana better than Lebanon or China? Don't you know that the more the population of a country, the more difficult it is to cater for everyone? China would never have been able to make good progress if they had not enforced the one child policy with brutal force (and of course, this can only happen in a communist country that China is). Can it ever happen in a democratic settings like Nigeria? At Nigerian independence in 1960, the British left us with 50 million people (present day Kenya's population) and 90% (45 million of the 50) were illiterates. What would the illiterate population do if not to keep proliferating to find us with the large population we have now? What progress do you expect from a predominantly illiterate nation if not the crisis, wars and coups which have delayed our progress for decades?? We all know that Nigeria can do better, but one thing many of you guys do not understand is that colonial policies and foundations are what affected the African race and people. Some countries had more terrible and faulty colonial policies and administration than others and it will take decades, centuries or forever for Africans to overcome some of these besetting effects of faulty colonial policies. |
nkwuocha1:LoL. Many Japanese, Koreans, Chinese and even Europeans go to the USA to school, does that mean that their educational systems are so faulty? Many African countries no longer want us yet they cannot do without our Music, movies and worshipping our entertainers, they cannot stop coming to our churches, they cannot stop wearing our cultural attires and copying our styles. Who is now fooling who? Check top 200 or 100 universities in Africa, more Nigerian universities made the rank than all other countries except South Africa and Egypt. This is because Nigeria spends so much to try and develop the dozens of her universities while other African countries like Ghana and Kenya will spend all their money in developing only 1 or 2 universities and abandon the rest. Can you compare how much Nigerian university students pay for tuition compared to other African countries? We have some of the cheapest universities in the world which even the poorest Nigerians can afford. Do you think it is like that in other countries? So what is your point exactly? Every country has it's advantages and disadvantage! |
OreMI22:Yes! And that is the price we pay for being a large Nation! That does not mean we also do not have advantages that come with us for being a large nation. Many smaller countries like Canada, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Austria e.t.c rank far higher than USA in terms of development and standard of living. But, does that stop the USA from being the world super power? Hell NO! |
nkwuocha1:You argue like a lay man and a frustrated person bursting with so much emotions! Japan, Korea, USA e.t c do not have wildlife compared to Kenya or Tanzania, does that mean that Japanese, Koreans and Americans also eat all the animals in their country? World bank says that only 33% of Nigerians live below the poverty line. What is your source of 80%? Mention one aspect in which Kenya is better than Nigeria and i will mention 3 aspects Nigeria is better than Kenya. I dare you! |
nkwuocha1:See! We are not here defending Nigeria because Nigeria is a good country, we are only defending Nigeria because people from equally terrible African countries have no rights to insult Nigerians when their own countries are no better. Get the difference into your thick skull! Do you think any Nigerian would ever argue with a Canadian, Belgian, Malaysian or Korean if they castigate our country? Do you think other countries do not have their own challenges and problems too? |
nkwuocha1:People burn each other alive in Kenya on accusations of witchcraft. So what is your point? Other African countries do not kill other Africans in their midst, why only SA? |
nkwuocha1:Does Nigeria have the kind of wildlife Kenya has? Are they not using their wildlife to generate billions through their tourism sector? Congo is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of rescources, where are they today? Nigeria has a very large population to cater for with the oil proceeds. |
14:Then, how come 70% of Zimbabweans are still living below the poverty line? |
Ikechukwuni6:All African countries are backwards and no one has the right to insult or mock the other. Where one performs woefully the other performs well and vice versa. |
Ngokafor:How is India better than Nigeria? A country where one-quarter of the population are classified as scheduled caste and tribes and are condemned to poverty and unpriviledge forever? Do you know that hundred ot thousands of Indians die every year from Animal bites? Snake, monkeys e.t.c? |
nkwuocha1:And how does it relate with the discourse. What is your point? |
nkwuocha1:Is electricity the only criteria used to judge the progress of a nation? Do you know that Nairobi is only divided btw the rich and the poor? There is no active and thriving average and low middle class population. Is that what you call progress? |
nkwuocha1:Don't just utter nonsense. Prove it with facts! Nairobi, kenya's capital and finacial centre is poorer than the national average of the country in per capital income because over 60% of the city's population live in slums and are unproductive. Is that the same case with Lagos, PH, Abuja or other financial centres in Nigeria?
|
Kenyanstar:This is just rubbish. How has Kenya made any progress when only the rich benefit from the progress? Making only the rich richer and more comfortable? Nairobi county is poorer than the national average of Kenya because over 60% of the people in the capital city live in slums and are unproductive. What health, economic or transportation progress have the millions of Nairobi slum dwellers who are the majority of the city made? |
vaxx:Pls, what is Kenya's capital ahead of? In slums or what? A city where over 60% of the population live in slums? A city that is poorer than the national average? |
mtis:They may be in our country but we don't really give a fucck about them. God forbid for them to come and be dominating business sectors in our country. |
mtis:Obsessed my foot. You guys are the ones trying to desperately make it look like they are equally Kenyans like you are, whereas they are only in your country to milk the rescources and take it back to India. Little wonder they are the richest. Black Kenyans are almost no different from Black South Africans. |
kilo4sure:This is very true. I have observed that most Nigerians who travel to Ghana and other African nations to hussle are usually from Delta, Edo and South-east. Lagosians and others hardly travel to other African countries to hussle, except maybe for schooling. |
fanficgirl:Yes u are right, but is it really all African women that marry white men for money? Someone like Chimamanda Adichie, can you really say she married a white man because of money? |
PissedYagami:You are just making no sense. A lot of Jews marry outside their religion. If you want, i can list dozens that i know. As terribly divided as Sudanese and south Sudanese people were in terms of race, religion and culture, when the country divided, there were many people from interracial, inter ethnic and inter religious homes who were caught up. Same thing with colonial India. There were Hindu and Muslim couples. When a group of people with different cultures, religion and race have to live together and share the same space and identity, overtime, inter marriage must occur even though it would be of very little percentage unless in a case of slave-master relationship like Colonial America. Majority of Core-northern Nigerians are die hard muslims who even believe in sharia law, but even at that, cases of interreligious marriages do occur. If cases like this cannot occur in Kenya, then it shows that Indian Kenyans are only Kenyans by mouth and not by heart. They are still yet to accept the Black Kenyans as their people. How many of them participate in your local entertainment industry and socialize with your people? How many feature in the local swahili movies, musics and comedy? |
Nowenuse:What a shame! So, no Kenyan could come up with a challenge? This has clearly shown the reason why more than half of the people in Nairobi live in slums and the reason why Nairobi and Mombasa are poorer than the national average. The city is deeply divided only btw the rich and the poor. There is no active developing average and low middle class population. |
bruno554:This is Harare the capital city. Aside the capital city, you will not find anything like this. Why is the poverty rate of the country so high? @70% Why are their people still dying to go to SA even with their small population if their country is so good? |
Jay254:You have a point. I have always wondered why is it that Anglophone African countries seem to be more progressive than the francophone ones. Although the margin is small though or ruled out if we include french speaking North african countries like Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria who are progressive. This french-english divide has seriously divided Black Africans. |
fanficgirl:U are wrong. Not all Indian men are ugly. Abt the small d issue. White men also have smaller Ds than black men, but African women still marry them. The problem should be more or less the Indian culture which discourages marrying outside your caste let alone your race. |
Are there no Kenyans up for the challenge? This is Festac town, Lagos for instance, it is the combination of the good, the bad and the ugly. for mostly average, low and high middle class people.
