mbatuku2:Just because its a nice word in Ngwa doesnt mean it will pass! And by the way; what does "ike" mean in Ngwa dialect? Secondly, like I told your Ngwa brother before; It will not pass because of the profanity nature of the word, like I said before, Igbos frown at profanity. Maybe my "akalaonye" invention will not pass but you have to be more creative here. You cant just look in the sky and come up with a word as common as ike and expect the larger populace to accept it! |
agbotaen:This utter rubbish and latrin stinking trash from a cultureless baastaard ! you have lost all the respect I have for you,today! I have been ignoring this thread for a while because of the knowledge of our fellow Igbos whom you are dealing with here; But you are been very disrespectful to the ancient Nri cultural religion and teaching which the Ikenga cult was an integral part of and existed in IKA land. The Ikenga cult has a very deep history in IKA land and that indvertently tells you that there is a strong Igbo root in Ikaland,yet you still you vehemently denied IKA being Igbo! You say Igbo have inferiority complex Think about something else because from my knowledge of your comments here you look like the angry one!! Did you say Igbos dont have culture You are psycho,fool !! We the Igbos might not have the most famous kings in Nigeria but we have the oldest,most sacred,the most peaceful NRI KINGDOM where 80% of Anioma Igbos originated from. Maybe your own kindred moved from Benin but the Nri settlement were the earliest to occupy that land; Thats why the Ikenga cult existed there till this day!! You are a baaastard because you have insulted the owners of the IKALAND!!! You are a maad dooog!! You have no respect for IKA history and culture. If you can disrespect the Igbo nation this way then you cant proudly call yourself an IKA man!! |
ChinenyeN:Not really. You can say its stressful but so are lots of English words which has Latin,Greek and French roots in them; Initially, ppl might find it hard to pronounce but as soon as they start using it more often it will just become like one of those words like "mahadum","tachycardia",which were Igbo and English respectively but were all recently constructed words. As for "mbatukus" invention of "ike" for sex; I dont think it will pass,why? Given the fact that the nature of Igbo language frowns at profanity will make it not to pass. |
mbatuku2:Ike kwa ?? Ngwa boys unu nogo kill meeooooo. Lol How about Akalaonye Akala = sign. Onye = person. Sex = Akalaonye. This is the closest I can come for now. I think it makes more sense more than Mbatukus invention of; Ike = sex. I dont know what he was thinking when he wrote that. |

How many binis have been killed in the north.is not ibos all the way and what have sicktards done in retaliation ? Bloody mor-on,the whole country is protesting today but ibos are in their markets transacting business,later the mofos will come and tell us they want to rule nigeria when they havent make any sacrifice for the country.stu-pid people
You are a very wicked man and I pray that God oneday will bring everlasting pains and sorrow to you and your household!!! God will show you that he is a true God!! You babillonian the enemy of children of God will forever see pains,sorrows,rejection,betrayal,humiliation,porverty and painfull deaths in the name of the God of vengeance!! These and more will be ur portion !! You want Igbos to go fight the North,protest subsidy removal after everything we have been through in this nation we never evver wanted to be a part of from the start!! you and your Northern superiors took help from the British to wreck havoc on the chosen ppl of God and you won,right? Today,you want us to go protest for you You are an animal!! Its is time for the yoruba man to man up and take the bull by the horn. Fight the North for once!! Why are you scared!! Oh, I see; the fall of Oyo empire and the Ilorin defeats still scare the my jesus out of you!! You will die a painful death because you are a wicked and an evil man!! |
mbatuku2:Who calls tire AFO ? Is it the same afo I know as stomach ? Because if it is then it dont make much sense. I got ukwugbo from; ukwu =leg.ugbo=vehicle; which brings us to ukwugbo. |
Stripper=Ogboto ![]() |
Nkpumi=advance Bridges=uzoenu Nnapuoche/Nnapuokwa= Impeachement Ukwugbo= tires Oku uzo= street light |
mbatuku2:Mbatuku, we the Umuoji,Idenmili's dont call it ogede,rather its "unele";so I dont know who and who calls it "ogede" in Anambra areas. "ogbe" in Idenmili means area or vicinity not really a village could also means. So, that word "ogbe" is a true Igbo word. There is a clan in my town called Umuidumu but I dont know what that Idumu means but its one of those ecaic names in my town Umuoji,Idenmili. Names like Odanwa,Idumu,Nzulu,Oyagulu,Obeche are few from many names from my town which I dont know what they meann. As for "ofigbo" I dont know who useses it nor the meaning. |
Physics, if you believe "iyaselle" is a Benin word then I will need you to tell me what it means,because one titled man from my kindred in Idenmili is greeted "iyaselle" Onicha has a title called "Onowu iyaselle" and I know for sure that "ONOWU" is an Igbo word. Basicly,i need a little more education on the "iyaselle" title meaning. |
Onowu = me dont know Odanwa = me dont know Nwajiuba = a child holds wealth Akuchukwu=wealth from God Nwakibie= Best among equals Nnaebuo= a male child who will become a father Nwadialor=(my OZO title name given to me by my grand father; it means a valued child) Nwanonukpo-eze = a child who sits in the royal chair(my younger brothers OZO title name) Agbalanze= Custodian of Nze na Ozo institution( given to high ranking titled men only and their is only one Agbalanze in each village of our town) Ugonabo=complete greatness(one of the highest Ozo cult,usually taken by rich men) my people will say ogbenye ada aza Ugonabo, haha ijikwa ego ? You can recognize Ugonabos by the two feathers on their red Ozo cap. This is the title I will go for when I become richer!! |
Uchichi = night Ndeli = midnight Walking stick = okpolo Fridge= igweoyi A/c = ntuoyi Impeachement= nnapuokwa (nnapu is removal, okwa is post/position) Skyscrapper = unogo/ulogo(uno/ulo means house;ogo/ulo means house) |
mbatuku2:I dont think Onicha calls women "okpoho", its ikporo which is also prevalent in the Anambra riverline areas. The Onichas of southeast rarely have a single Benin word in their dialect; Tell me one single Onicha word that is Benin and I will confidently tell you where in Idenmili it originated from !! One Igbo dude like that from Delta was claiming that Onicha culture was borrowed from Benin in a group conversation and I acted like I dont even speak Igbo until he mentioned the "IYASSELE" title. Needless to say but he went home feeling well informed. My father told me that both ADO and IDU are Igbo words and do not forget Igbo dialect varies. Please enough of this Benin obsession,its getting on my freaking nerves! Onicha didnt borrow jack from Benin except the idea of monarchy,if you think otherwise then explain. I am actually enjoying this cool thread. |
wesley80:Bia wesley,little really? I bet you dont know what I know about the Idenmili/Anioma relation! Which town in Idenmili,according to you traces their oringin from Aboh/Ukwuani? You will have to answer this question before I descend on the rest of your ramblings! |
Toshman,Dafur na El-guapo, oge elugo mgbe ayi ga ahazilu unu ato mgba; mgba bu onye melie okpolu Ifymgbenine naba,ma obulu na okweta. No More "egbe onu" |
Andre,about the Ngwa dude you were refering to; cant you see what is going here ? That boy think he can use Igbo platform to sell their selfish Ngwa agenda! Do you think Ngwa ppl will still be calling themselves Igbos if it was possible for the gov to add them into the present Rivers ![]() From their behaviours here it will be easy for me to call an Ibibbio person a brother faster than I can call an Ngwa person. |
Andre Uweh:Andre nwanne, daalu soo,inugo. I clearly need more education on this Anioma issue. Andre, whats the ambiguity between Ika and ukwuani Igbos ? |
ugbohgloba:I have tried my best not not discuss Igbo affairs with ppl who felt they are not Igbo nor call someone an Igbo brother when they clearly resents me and say very hurtful thing to me because I am extending a brotherly hands to them !! I said this because I actually took a second to peruse through what this gentleman has been writing and I was actually stunned that I could understand 95% of the ukwuani dialect he wrote in; And my question is; does the fact that I, an Idenmili,Anambra boy from Umuoji who wasnt born nor raised in the southeast was able to understand a dialects some said was filled with 70% Benin words,20% Igbo words and 10% indiginous to ukwuani make it an Igbo dialect ?? Agbotaen said its mostly Benin words and my question is how come the Benins dont understand ukwuani,and why do they call ukwuani ovu Igbo ? I will never call anybody Igbo if they dont think they!! But there are alot of question that need to be answered; for example, How the hell does the sacred IKENGA cult get to ukwuani land. Ikenga doesnt even exist in all southesst Igboland,talk more of ukwuani. So, my point is that the presence of the Ikenga shows that ukwuani has a very strong NRI root and traditions that describes an Igbo group!! Its left for anybody to call themselves what they feel like !! Hell, we have two Ngwas here who run the Igbo thread like prostitutes runs a brothel but they will be quick to tell you that the Igbos are OHUHU and they Ngwa and are not really into all the Igbo unity thing. Ndi Igbo sili na "ukwu jie agu,mgbada abialia ugwo". Mana nsogbu adiroo"ayi gbasia oso ayi aguo mile" |

nedu210:Nedu nwanne,Nteje belongs to Oyi lga and they speak an Igbo dialect similar to what the Idenmilis/Onitsha speak with some little variations. For example,Nteje will say; "wa sili" while Idenmili wil say"fa sili" |
Obiagu1:What do you mean by this ?? The only dialects that can stand alone here are Nnewi and Awka; you didnt add Ihiala areas but they speak a different dialect. Idenmili,Oyi,Njikoka,DunukofiaOnitsha,Ogbaru,Anambra east/west,Ayamelum,Ekwusigo and some others I cant remenber now all speak very similar dialects with little variations. Isuofia,awgbu,agulu,aguluezechukwu,amobia and more lga around that area speak something like what the Awka ppl speak. There is nothing like Nri dialects and Onitsha dialects. I bet you if you hear an Idenmili and Onitsha speaking you wont be able to tell who is who. |

What do u expect from a group of ppl that was forced into Islam by Usman Danfodio; Northern nigerian are the most gullible and brainwashed ppl in Nigeria. Given the kind of porverty and illiteracy that exist among them I doubt this ppl will sustain the bombing from the IGBOS for a good one week !!! I feel sorry for some of our northern ppl who has been deceived and manipulated by the Arabic murderer called muhammed!! |
I dont think mj is really that bad but you can control it and smoke less often,from there you can go ahead and quit completely. But alot of scholars do puff too. I know because I used to blow with my former sexy instructor who told me that she will fail me if I do bad in exams; but mj makes one comes alive if its good for you. |
Ibu ego and Igbankwu nwanyi is always a very colorful and exiting times where I came from; brb. |
ChinenyeN:Of all the eligible Igbos in Abia state an Ngwa man is talking of who has business and who doesnt; Its really sad that a mis-oriented aggressive young man of 22yrs like you can even open your breast feeding mouth to talk about somebody as sacred as the Eze Nri!! Who are you to even speak about something that can consume you!! Are you really 22yrs ![]() ![]() I seriously doubt it !! |
Let's not just go there now, OK. While Nri was a great kingdom that harbored the pride of the Igbos, there were also other Igbo kingdoms that existed alongside Nri (though lesser known ones). The unnecessary gloating is not needed on this thread and do not sling mud at other Igbos, else we would all delve into that mud slinging. Be warned. Keep it straight to the point and do not rile anybody up here (especially me)
Bia kam gwa gi something, obulu na I choo igwam okwu jili nsopulu kwue ya maka na onwero onye mu bu Eze mmuo Nri na atu egwu !! |
EzeUche:Mr,your Eze Aro has no say in a matter like this; when the Igbos are ready to account for how many Igbos were sold into slavery then can we consult him. As for now Eze Nri is supremo ! |
ChinenyeN:I here you Ngwa,but I feel if there is any other Igbo kingdom that strongly feel they have the traditional or customary right to annoint an Igbo leader they should go ahead and do so!! Stop feeling unnescessarily insecure. Nri civilization is the oldest civilization in the geographic area called Nigeria!! This is a kingdom that developed with the use of their its religion and traditions and not by fighting nor by getting rich off kidnapping and selling fellow Igbos. Nri kingdom has the most authentic and strongest institution and our fore-fathers did it without soiling their hands. 90% of today Anambra area never sold slaves; and you wonder why some ppl are so blessed!! |
