@ Odumchi, before you start accusing me of something am ignorant of I will like you to explain to me what you find confusing about my post!
Igbo women simply dont wear head beads, I havent seen one myself. If you think I am wrong then bring up some facts and correct me!!
PoliticsRe: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by NRIPRIEST(m): 3:14pm On Dec 04, 2011
For those of you nominating women here, for your info Igbos dont crown women kings and I doubt that IFYALWAYS been a well cultured woman with "obele odu" title from her maternal home(onicha) will give thoughts to such!!
Myself will stop been Igbo the day they make a woman a king!!)

I pick ONLYTRUTH if he will have time to featurd more often.
EZEUCHE if he will stop his Aro delusions.
ANDRE UWEH is my undisputed nominee.

I will stop here for now.
PoliticsRe: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by NRIPRIEST(m): 2:53pm On Dec 04, 2011
@pointB,not a bad idea but dont you think this "Eze Ndi-Igbo" thing is becoming redundant ? Why dont we just find another title and give to whoever is chosen but he will still have the same power as an "EZE"
Like Oke Osisi Umu-Igbo,which I have already Blessed Andre Uweh with.
Or Ochi-Ora,Ikenga Umu-Igbo.
Now I think I have arrived at something; we should use the title of "OBI THE 1st OF NAIRALAND“
OBI OF NAIRALAND, instead of using Eze which is more of broader term and applies to true kings like EZE NRI.
CultureRe: The Acculturuation Bewteen Midwestern And Eastern Nigerian Cultures. by NRIPRIEST(m): 2:19pm On Dec 04, 2011
Igba Odu is female chieftaincy title similar to the prestigious "Nze na Ozo" chieftaincy tradition, which is mostly obtainable in Anambra and Delta Igbos. When a woman takes this great title she will be entitled to lots of privileges and officially qualifies to wear the white elephant tusk on her wrist, and ankle. In antiquity, Igbo women wore beads to their neck, waist and ankle, but our todays women think its out of fashion BUT NOTHING TURNS ME ON LIKE A FINE CHIC WHO WEARS BEADS ON HER WAIST. . .I ran into a calabar chic that had it. . .dont wanna say what I did. .lol
CultureRe: The Acculturuation Bewteen Midwestern And Eastern Nigerian Cultures. by NRIPRIEST(m): 2:05pm On Dec 04, 2011
Firstly, Igbo women dont have history of wearing beads on their heads because its not our culture at all. Thats strictly Benin style and the smaller kingdoms around them, like uhrobo, afema, okada, akoko edo and co. Even the western Igbos dont wear beads on their heads. It is not Igbo womens attire, its a new trend and foreign and needs to be corrected right away!!
CultureRe: Igbo Dialects by NRIPRIEST(m): 6:09am On Dec 04, 2011
Core Umuoji; chida ka ichii-chii - Get down and walk a little. Often used when refering to a woman who is trying to tell a child she has on her back to "get down and walk a little“. Igbo language pass MAN!!
CultureRe: Igbo Dialects by NRIPRIEST(m): 12:37am On Dec 04, 2011
PAZIENZA, rejoicing in Umuoji dialect is "Ngoli" and am sure you know that its common in Idenmili.
You may be right about Umuoji being the biggest town but I always thought Nkpor was even bigger than Onicha until the later STOLE all their lands!!
MANA,ONICHA ETEKA BU MAKA OGIDI!! OGIDI INWELE!!
CultureRe: Igbo Dialects by NRIPRIEST(m): 7:15pm On Dec 03, 2011
Pazienza nwanne, Igbo language is indeed very varied. Do you know that in my own town Umuoji, the northern part of it speaks a slightly different dialect from the southern part of it. . . Mystery!!
CultureRe: Igbo Dialects by NRIPRIEST(m): 1:54pm On Dec 03, 2011
@ last post, most Anambrarians use "gini",but my town which is an Idenmili town says "odi nni". Igbo language is so varied!!

If a doctor tries it here and the pt dies or gets worse because of neglet he maybe saying a crying goodbye to the medical field!! Fact!!!
May God save my dear country!!
CultureRe: Igbo Dialects by NRIPRIEST(m): 12:22am On Dec 03, 2011
My all time favourite; "kee ka eke si anya anwu" which is an Anambra colloquialim for "how are things turning out for you" and also "aga awanyelu gi ji" which also is a colloquialim for "what shall we do to make you feel better"

look ADA IDE ,YOU SIMPLY DONT HAVE THE SLIGHTEST KNOWLEDGE OF ANAMBRA DIALECTS. WE THE ANAMBRARIANS HARDLY USES "R" IN OUR WORDS!! WE USE "L" INSTEAD. AND THATS WHY SOME IMO PEOPLE SAY WE CALL RICE LICE, LOL
@PAZIENZA, NWANNE I BU NWAFOR IDENMILI!! OUR DIALECT IS CONSIDERED THE LIGHTEST IN THE TONGUE WHEN SPOKEN AND ONE OF THE MAIN REASON IS BECAUSE WE DONT USE "R'!!
Anambra says bia lie nni just like Pazienza stated and not bia rie nri!!

I honestly think the so called CENTRAL IGBO should be reviewed. Alot of words and alphabets needs to be CHANGED!!
CultureRe: Igbo Dialects by NRIPRIEST(m): 11:27pm On Dec 02, 2011
Bia ada ide, you of all people should know that Anambra dont say "nri" as in food. And you call yourself ''ADA IDE". Do you even know what ada ide means ?

@Librate, why are you disturbing yourself, this ppl you are responding to are the same ppl who MASSACRERED innocent children and women of BIAFRA!!
They have no remorse about it and they praised the men who brought everlasting pain to us!!! So, what makes you think they care about the tiniest well-being of a BIAFRAN?? They HATE us to the bone marrow, get it into your head!!

This is not enough! We need to draft tougher and brutal laws that will stamp out that sick practice out of our nation, period!!!!
But firstly,we need to get to the root of this matter. THE BOARDING SCHOOL!!
@Mrs Chima, I think you should slow it down a bit, I have been reading your comments on NL I get this impression that you are a LIBRAL!! I want you to understand that we are Africans and sometimes we dont need you to infiltrate the mind of our submissive and respectful women with your jacked-up FEMINIST and LIBRAL views. I dont know where you come from but I really need you to tone it down and respect this forum!!
And I you NL women who are following her like MUMU to understand that this woman wasnt raised with the same value as you. In a country where a mum is in a room bonking a dude while daughter is in another room giving one BJ while taking another from behind nothing is wrong in their f a u c k e d up minds.
I pity the stupid naija man that married ur azz!!
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu’s Body To Tour 4 Countries Before Burial In Anambra by NRIPRIEST(m): 2:27pm On Nov 29, 2011
Haiti!!! I didnt know Haiti was on our side but I know the full history of Haiti. . . I know for sure that those slaves that settled there came mostly from the Igbo nation,Congo, senegalese and Ghana, and they fought the French slave masters, defeated them and chased them out of Haiti and destroyed their sugarcane plantation!!! Very brave bunch!! They still practice their African religion there and they know where in Africa their ancestors came from. I was surprise when a history proffesor said most of them were Igbos. So, I am not surprised Haiti aligned with us during the war!! Its more than coincidence!! Haiti is one black nation that gives me immense pride!!
PoliticsRe: South-East Governors Declare 7-day Mourning For Ojukwu by NRIPRIEST(m): 1:58pm On Nov 29, 2011
I wouldnt care if nigerian government immortalize him or not but we the easterners must not only give him a burial beffiting of a general/head of state, but also immortalize Dim in every southeast state. . .As for Uwazuruike, he is an Igbo leader in the making!!

PoliticsRe: Did Anambra State Ever Sack Abians In The Past? Anyone With Info, Please Say by NRIPRIEST(m): 5:16pm On Nov 26, 2011
From a reliable source who was in the Anambra civil service since state creation I was told Anambra govt never relieved ppl of their duties based on state of origin. And I dont see the most Igbo conscious governor(Peter Obi) in the s-east doing it!! My pride will really be hurt if I find out thats it has happened before or if it happens in the future! Because Anambra doesnt need to oppress her brothers in order to progress. You are always welcomed to live in Anambra if you have the tough skin and wherewithall to compete with the ever domineering natives!!
Anambra is "home for all" and "light of the nation" and nobi for mouth.

Nobody has strenghten by courage for the Igbo cause as this man. I hurts me deep inside to know that he is NO MORE!
Who among the current Igbo leaders can boast of the intelect, vision, fearlesness and the courage that IKEMBA NNEWI exudes. I dont know any!!

Our duty to him as Igbos is to never let his dreams and legacy die in us,especially our children who might know little or nothing about the IKEMBA! We must immortalize him and keep his presence in the Igbo struggle and consciousness!!

Dora Akunyili? Is this Amnesia or something?

Have people already forgotten Ekiti debacle that Dora Akunyili was a part of? The Sony-NTA fiasco, The Rebranding-waste-of-our-time? Her efforts in helping HIDE the Yar adua betrayal? The CABAL that never really was? All these are very recent events but I see some have already forgotten all that already.  Later we go begin they claim say these Politicians dey recycle each other, as if say na by magic.
Who the phauck are you ? Dora's record in Nigeria is impeccable!!
I will like you to elaborate on these your dumb accusations against Akunyili.

Andre Uweh:
Your ideas are noted, however me thinks that the relics found in those places has a symbolism. They are also not worshipped in Igboland.
Andre, if you insist on keeping those relics you will be scaring some people away and you know why! You have to introduce a different method, the one the modern Igbos can relate to and accept.

^Some of us take neither shrine nor its messengers/messages serious cos:
Of the advent of the white man and his religion.
we now have one too many of shrines with different and conflicting stands/solutions when presented with an issue. The shrines are not spared of corruption.
we have become lazy or the gods are not blessing us enough anymore as we cant afford to meet up with their constant demands for sacrifice.
^Just Generally speaking oh,not my personal conviction.

Have anyone of us been to Nando?I was there in the early nineties by God,they have more than enough shrines to go round and protect the whole Igboland. Can't help but wonder if things are still same there . . .
Ify, have you been to Nteje huh Dont mess with Nteje !! They refuse to let white man religion influence them.
There Ozo title is not to play with!! Pete Edochie is from there.

Left for me I will reintroduce the Nri socio-cultural ideology, which kept us holy and fearful of the wrath of the Almighty Chukwu Okike !!
I would like the Igbos to go back to when they used make sacrifices(ichu aja),the ancient Ozo purification which made men of title not to lie, cheat on their wife, stay out late at night, getting drunk, stealing your neighbors land and among other commandments tha made Nri Religion the most feared and Sacred!!
