mannyiyke:
And you don't want to caution some men like FFK who have short temper and cannot be loyal to their wives?

So, a very cultured African woman must remain loyal even when she's being maltreated, beaten or relegated to the background? Go and ask questions. The husbands of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Ngozi Adichie treat them with love and respect. Nobody stays where he or she is being humiliated.

Looking at the paid write-ups since FFK and Precious Chikwendu parted ways, it's obvious that the fault is from FFK, and he is childish when compared to the young Precious Chikwendu.

He should amend his ways, especially now that he'll be clocking 60 years in October. His character is zero.
I think you missed the theme, I mean the essence of this thread which is on women being loyal to their spouses.

and I'm sure you didn't see me praising FFK or his temper. I talked on the topic of discussion/message and not the messenger. So, maybe you should create another thread that would capture your reservation on Kayode and his temper.

Dr Iweala and Adichie Chimamanda calls to mind.

Philipponzaghi:
Lol Obasanjo supporting Buhari is just mere support and Obasanjo have no political weight in the SW in 2015 to Command vote for Buhari. Obasanjo can’t even win his own Ward let alone help Buhari win in the west.

Obasanjo just read the pulse of the nation and he saw that Buhari in 2015 is a tsunami and lent his voice. Not that I am removing his impact but he is not instrumental to the victory like Tinubu.

You can see Obasanjo was shamed in 2019 even after the letters he wrote coz Buhari was still re-elected, so Obasanjo is not that invincible.

Tinubu had control of the APC SW governors and they were the ones that worked effectively for Buhari in the West.

It’s only a novice that will say Tinubu impact on 2015 is not huge because the same Buhari have been contesting multiple times without breakthrough, he even at one time chose an Igbo as his vice and he lost woefully until Tinubu came with the merger.

They took him to Chatam house, financed his campaign, rebranded him in the media, won him the West and faced the federal might money bags for money bags. All thanks to Tinubu and some other politicians like Atiku and etc.

Edo elections have been won and lost. Tinubu is not a god, so why do you expect him to always have total victory everytime?

You’re right Tinubu isn’t the senate president but he is a strong politicians with tentacles than Saraki and success and respect in politics sometimes might not be associated to the status.

Ahmadu Bello was just a premier but he was far stronger then Balewa who was the prime minister then, infact you can say he is the political godfather of Balewa.

Tinubu installed the vice president, Speaker, lot of Ministers, his boys are governors of multiple states and etc. I don’t think Saraki can boast of a profile like this.

Infact as it stand today, Tinubu is the most notorious politician in Nigeria such that he alone is a source of revenue for the media and he is the most trending politician of this era.

Can you mention one Igbo man that has more political worthiness than Tinubu?
you see how you praised him to self embarrassment in Edo election. let me remind you that even among clergies with mass followership like Fr. Mbaka, Adeboye, Bishops and co and imams among others preached openly against Jonathan's re-election because there was incessant bombings and other related violence all over the north including against Churches and Mosques. I could remember Ezekwesili and Michelle Obama carrying placards to campaign bring back our girls (with regards to Chibok girls abduction) before the White House. I think it was Clinton also who came to Nigeria to preside over a meeting between Jonathan and Buhari (aspirant) at the build up of the election which was due to Obama's interest to remove Jonathan because he was not doing his bidding especially as it concerns gay marriage, etc. Obasanjo tearing his PDP membership card to show his disapproval of Jonathan's re-election was another biggest problem of that moment. So vividly, both Internal and external factors played against Jonathan's re-election but above all was his diplomatic and peaceful nature of not wanting to remain in Aso Rock at the expense of violence even when it was clear that INEC compromised by allowing underage children from Niger, Chad and North to get registered and voted. So where was Tinubu's personal profile apart from joining Buhari to protest against Jonathan's re-election like many others in the streets of Nigeria.

It's only you and your likes that see what you referred as political worthiness in Tinubu, a man who cannot engage in political language to convince people to vote against Obaseki but that self- ridiculed video he made against himself. And I keep asking, is Tinubu a politician? where lies his self-aclaimed political sagacity?
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Council Of Elders Rejects Agitation For Oduduwa Republic| Sahara Reporter by NSK4U(m): 2:54pm On Sep 28, 2020
The only reason he gave for standing against Odua's sovereignty is the fear of war and violence.

Someone had better informed him that no slave owner willingly sets his slave free.

Other regions apart from the Hausa Fulani Northern Nigeria are more or less servants to the Fulani hegemonic agenda.

Ojukwu saw it very early after independence and demanded CONFEDERATION to allow each region progress at their pace but Awolowo's ambition to become president made him silent and even backed out of the Aburi Accord resolution which eventually led to the Biafra/Nigeria war. And not until Awolowo was betrayed by those who promised him president, he never believed that Nigeria was a mere joke.

Philipponzaghi:
If you have one politician with strategy like Tinubu, an Igbo man would have been president by now looking at the fact that you have been loyal to PDP.

Tinubu started in 1999 and survived the tsunami of Obasanjo in 2003 when he swept the whole SW states AD.

He fought like a General and took all the SW states one by one for AC/ACN until the whole SW is a single party with little changes here and there.

Buhari have been contesting elections since God knows when and failing, the first time he formed alliance with Tinubu was when he became president and Tinubu retired Obasanjo completely and render him powerless.

What about Jonathan, Saraki and Atiku? They will tell you Tinubu is a born politician.

He installed the Speaker of the house and his caucus produced the senate president with the Vice President. What more power can one wield?

You can see Junaid Mohammed siding Tinubu today just like other front Northern leaders are now rooting for Tinubu.

He alone is more popular in the press even more than Buhari. On Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Nairaland, News Media, Tinubu is the main seller for news and he is notorious at this stage.

If the Igbos can boast of a leader like Tinubu, then maybe they wouldn’t have been termed 5%ers!
hahahaha.......

is it the same Tinubu that Oshiomhole was removed as chairman of APC because Oshiomhole was making himself loyal to his bidding? I'm sure it's because of empty praise singing like this that made Tinubu to assume himself into what he can never achieve even in his ten life times and thus pushed him to delve into Edo politics where he was messed up.

.... and which Buhari forming alliance with Tinubu to become president? Now I see how gullible you assume everyone on social media. Didn't Obj among other influential figures in the Nigerian politics support Buhari including religious leaders?

can you tell me one single elective and national office that Tinubu has held? Even Bukola Saraki that rose to Senate president among others could not claim national godfather let alone Tinubu? Abeg who sabi Tinubu apart from his errand and beggars' boys in Yoruba amala and ewedu politics?

Edo at last NO BE LAGOS.

I have said it, Tinubu has no political sagacity. Remove the money he takes from Lagos since 1999 and engage him politically and one would realize he's only a butterfly claiming to be a bird.

Then, his biggest mistake was to assume that the rest of the south plays his kind of ewedu and amala politics.
Glad that Buhari played neutrality in Edo election since he knew he has nothing to lose and many powers in APC are in interested in rubbishing Tinubu, more of it are coming in 2023.

Lol , you people really got no shame.
I repeat, tinubu is not the cause of your cursed decaying region.

The Edo people have their ways and system, they made their choice.
we the westerners have our ways and system, we have our own ways of making our decision. the success of our decisions has been the reason why you and your people always troop out of your cursed region to ours with your nylon bad to hawk gala on our streets.

The defeat of iyamu has been the sole job of stakeholders involved to nurture which tinubu is part of. I see no reason why that should be giving you sleepless nights.

No other region in Nigeria is exactly like the other. No region can decide on what other region want, that was tinubu's mistake and he should nurture that. That should also gives you a lesson that no matter the fvcked up opinion you have in your region about tinubu, we or other regions is only applicable to your region. Comes 2023 we all are going to decide on our individual need regardless of your nonsensical opinion. You are not to decide on the need of the whole Nigeria.
Nobody had ever claimed the the whole Nigeria is is lagos.

If the fear of tinubu becoming the president is what you have, i am advising you to get a psychologist ,you might be needing one in 2023.

another advice to your people is that instead of wasting your time on hating and consoling yourself with matter that doesn't concern you. why don't you people be preparing plans to win the battle you've been losing since 1966.

Your write up clearly shows that you have little knowledge of your history as Igbo otherwise you would have easily recall that during the 1st and 2nd Republics it was the Igbos that clinged to the Hausa/Fulani to the benefit of themselves and at the detriment of others.
Yoruba race is independent minded and very smart at knowing what they really want, and we've made clear times and times again that restructuring that grants both political, economical and fiscal autonomy to the federating units is what we want and not the breakup of Nigeria.
You forgot quickly that Akeredolu, the present Governor of Ondo State was not the Candidate of Tinubu in 2016. Akeredolu was elected by the people of Ondo State and if they so wish they will reelect him. Tinubu candidate failed at the primary of APC in 2016.
Its ridiculous that the Igbos represented by people such as you and the OP are trying to coerce others tribes to join their beliefs, but truth is that such approach dont work with the Yorubas.
By the way how many Governors in South West are installed through the influence of Tinubu, probably only one, the Osun State.
Pls go read history
Yorubas know what they want yet they fought against confederation in the 60s only to wake up today with the restructuring noise. Now what are the terms of your new restructuring different from the terms of confederation?

First and second republic ('63-66 & '79-83)? how did Igbos glue with the north? Do you even know the history you referring?

Well, ma popcorn, still in the season of Edo no be Lagos, final political burial in '23 for one butterfly feeling himself a bird.

These are the types of comments that irritates us as Yorubas. What do you mean that you want to liberate us? Thats insulting, we are the one in pole position to liberate any tribe in Nigeria.
What do you mean by slavery, because we dont share the same political philosophy? Geez.
Bro, you don't need to get irritated over fact. What you should do is try to say no to enslavement by anyone irrespective of his/her affluence. Igbos have always been at loggerhead with the Fulani caliphate whose intention has remained to subdue and continue to dictate for the rest of the country even when their intentions are not in synchrony with others. The Yorubas have always been supportive of one Nigeria which clearly they can't explain what one Nigeria has done for them since amalgamation. However, some few Yoruba Elders have come to realize the true meaning of one Nigeria but are still begging the issue with their clamour for restructuring.

Now, back to what the guy you quoted said, one acclaimed godfather has been holding the sway, personally chosing who to govern Yoruba states just because he governed Lagos State and has been feeding from the states resources since 1999. He believes he is even richer than one of the states and stated it clearly, yet most Yorubas still tie themselves to his aprons string. However, he thought himself an oracle beyond Yoruba region and wanted to prove with the rest of the south but was vehemently resisted and rejected.

Truth remains that the rest of the south apart from the west will do anything to reject being subjugated and controlled by one person against their interest and that's contributes to our republican nature.
Jonathan resisted and the reason he fell apart with Obj, Obaseki against Oshiomhole and many more. Today none claims regional godfather of the rest of the south except in the west where boudillion claims so for the west.
