although they wont ask you wich subsidiary, but u can fit into the research and development unit of NIDAS marine, NPDC and PPMC.

A quick one for those who have been interviewed. Please at what point do they collect the CV? Is it before u enter d interview room or when u enter the interview room. Am asking because I want to know if they take time to go through your CV first before they invite u into the interview room. Or they invite u and then u hand over your CV to them and they start asking questions. Please I need clarifications. Thanks

.sometimes they ask you to introduce urself and if they find your intro captivating, they pickup from there and forget abt cv till they end.. Sometimes dey collect ir cv bfor intro.. But all in all, U're going in with ur cv, ur cv doesnt go in before u

Please those that have been interviewed, upon entry to the panel area, do all the interviewers introduce themselves first or they just take your cv and go straight to ‘May we know you ‘?

There is no specific formula for these sturvs. Its at d dispensation of ur panel.. Some ppl are never asked to introduce themselves, some are asked, some ppls interview start in an awkward way, maybe with a complement then straight to question.. Just be ready to tell em bout urself thats all

I got an invite for the oral interview. But I'm not really convinced abt going.

I stay in Ibadan. Going all the way to Abuja will demand a lot at this time. I will have to take permission from my present work place, to be absent for at least three days. Also, financially I'm not that buoyant. Accommodation in Abuja for at least a night is also a challenge. Plus the report I read on the previous recruitment thread is not encouraging. Its more like a man-know-man thing than merit recruitment.

I can still defy all this and "rugged" everything to attend the interview, but my nairaland people, the question is, "is it really worth the stress"?

Please advise.

If you've been following this thread for a while u'll have been convinced to remove every man-know-man mentality... Give it a try at all cost if indeed its your career dream, u applied for the job, u thought over before applying, man-know-man mentality didnt stop u from applying and writing the cbt.. Now at the penultimate stage of acheiving your dream job, U're giving up...

On the other hand u could give up and continue to follow this forum as things unfold and my testimony in a bit, will convince you towards giving it ur all in the next phase of recruitment..

Lol. Bro, in respect of my earlier asked questions, I've identified my field in nnpc Research and development division.

So in this case, if the WHICH SUBSIDIARY question is asked, Since R & D isn't a subsidiary, will i be wrong to mention it, and speak on it, since its d department i fit into,?

If yes, then wich subsidiary is R& D affiliated to?

Also i would love to ask those with experience about cv.

I'm currently running an m.sc programme (in my project year already) is it ok to include it in my cv? To be presented before the panel

Wich subsidiaries do they really fall under cos those are the few divisions i see a correlation to my course of study, incase of the WICH SUBSIDIARY DO U FIT INTO question during the interview

I know google, but I've been seeing different stuffs allover and a bit confused by the nnpc website so someone please clarify

Here is what I can say on a public forum:

1. It was a panel interview. Can't remember the exact number that interviewed me but they weren't less than 4.

2. The questions are mainly personality based questions, in many cases focusing on your CV.

3. Be well dressed and read about NNPC. Your dressing and knowledge about NNPC will be tested and graded.

4. On the pay, I'm not sure it is right to reveal nnpc pay package on a public forum. But all I can say is that don't be deceived by what you see on the offer letter. They only include basic salary on the employment letter. Overall, the pay package for non-management staff is fairly good but certainly not the best in the world. For management staffs, the pay package is maaaad.

5. They did refund the TP (for all candidates) but it was after several months. For those that used Abuja address in their application or CV, you will receive little or no TP refund.

Believe me, you will almost regret using Abuja address if you are successful and they call for new hire orientation. *lips sealed*
