When the hand brake is engaged and in good working condition, it should disable movement/acceleration meaning a hand brake enabled would stop the tyres (rear wheels) from rolling

There are more petrol caravelle on Nigerian roads than diesel.

Ensure you do a survey of diesel technicians if available in the state you are interested in plying. Also diesel techy charge much follows the economics of less supply increase in price.

Due to the quality of diesel sold in naija and engine oil you will use, that engine may not last long.

As for manual or auto, manual is fun to drive and easy to maintain, I will pick it over an auto for this class due to work load

if your check engine light is on go and scan 1st. That should have been your point of call.

I am having some electrical issues with my 2009 mazda 6s GT. While driving, the Air con won't worko. The key light, security indicator lights, The DSC, Traction Control, ABS, Brake lights and all other lights all come on and won't turn off.
1)The car start button doesn't work appropriately. On hitting the break to start the car, the red light comes up instead of the normal green light though the car will start. Turning the car off, one must press and hold the button for about a minute before the engine goes off.
2) The whole alarms light are on the dashboard and the remote key is not functioning appropriately. The car must be off for the trunk to be opened
3) During driving on auto, the transmission doesn't pick gear fast so i have to drive it on manual mode
4) The car doesn't communicate with any diagnostic tool (Opd2 scanner)
5) I took the car to a repair yard, I was told my driver entered a ditch of water so, there was water ingress. However, they have not been able to solve or tell me what particular component or components is the issue and this has lasted 16 days now.

Your issues most definitely picks the theory of electrical communication breakdown.

DIY

1. open up the remote and replace the battery, looks like the security communication is in a on and off loop

2. Check the gear fluid if burnt or black that is a diagnosis to your problem, if not burnt did you replace recently and was the recommended fluid used or you just paid the mechanic and can't say? Any way just get the recommended fluid and replace make sure you paid for it or you are there when it is been done. If no improvement on gear after that let's move on

3. Your obd port isn't working, no communication stock communication, just like I said you have electrical communication issues evident that car starts in an abnormal way. Ensure the battery of the car is totally out then let them bring out the brain box and first trace the wiring, the unit can be opened by all this radionic and he can scrutinise the board for damage IC, diode, resistors etc. A sharp eyed radionic can pinpoint a faulty component. Most times this things just need a good heat to bring them back to life I don't know whether your radionic would have a rework station sha.

4. Next step is to check mazda forums for people who have gone through such issues and they can give you an heads up if you lucky, most won't have been fixed under warranty.

5. Probably you need a new ECU and wiring, definitely a pool of water that will get to the ECU and it's wiring component nah swimming pool be that except your driver ran 140mph into lots of water and the fans did the spraying to sensitive components but am guessing your alternator should have told that tale.

Only the MF920VS and MF920V will work with glo W or W+ won't work with glo.

The V is the best in terms of network compatibility but the VS is beat in terms of battery 7hrs and 2800 battery and can connect 32 WiFi devices at a go others are capped at 8.

I have a brand new MTN VS in pack complete never used going for 15k it is not unlocked yet incase you are interested and it will work with glo, ntel 9mobile and airtel

Toyota corolla for fuel economy and pocket friendly maintenance.

if you prefer camry the 2009 with the 2.5L i4 2AR engine is better in fuel economy and pocket friendly maintenance than the 07 and 08
