The V8 engines was never fitted in any W203 line up not even their AMG though the m273 made it in the 05-07 lineup which was a facelift all problem solved W203. Don't expect engine parts to be same definitely your compressor would be different. Also the CLK received an improvement in 2004 I guess you are within the safety net.

The cayenne was just an exaggeration, borne from a thread where the engine was transplanted with a pathfinder 1997 3.0L V6 engine due to cost.

With my experience in automobiles I have never come across a poorly built V8 engine before, apart from fuel consumption in city runs, I know they are reliable and indestructible.

Really? but i've once rode my friend's own to Lagos and went almost 130km/hr and the car made a lil sense tho I was enjoying it but really ion really know about the Camry's ability to endure a long distance travel over time

Any car would make the 1000km journey as long as it's in a good working condition.

you can buy the camry if that's what you prefer just ensure you put security in place you know the history of that model and thieves.

look for a qualified technician that can interpret diagnosis into working solution.

for the gear check ur dip stick and gauge.

speed sensor needs checking seems vulcanised or mechanic has vandalized it.

you need a technician with knowledge of scab results to diagnosis for you, meaning physical inspection.

yes you can pay for the car after a technician has inspected it. The rav4 2001 to 2003 automatic transmission has a factory ECU defect thar leads to transmission failure ensure you read up and research if your specimen falls within those years

I don't really know but I doubt if you can get to jigawa within 17hrs the fastest I got to kano was 16hrs in a luxurious bus and it was an over night trip.

Your vehicle can't handle the bad roads, add check points, day light traffic and rest stops also your 1.8/2.0L engine isn't built for acceleration. If you leave ibadan around 6am you should have passed okenne and Abuja expressway by day which are the daredevil hotspot of that journey.

Your concern shouldn't be to get there early but to get there in one piece

You can still beat it down to 1m or less since its not the luxurious infiniti i30 variant. THough if you like it buy it very solid vehicle and good engine. Doesn't fall apart easily and the 3.5L V6 is power on demand responsive engine.
This is a 2002/2003 model year
Note: has a very poor resale value around 400k naija used.

since you are using it in dutse, the avensis/carina E is better than the camry. Though nobody would steal your Toyota in the north but the carina is more common and parts would be easy to source from kano incase they are not available in jigawa. Also a wagon is more appropriate you can see cheap foodstuffs to buy down south what easier way to carry it.

Don't bank on 17hrs drive to jigawa on a bad day the okenne traffic is around 5hrs during day time.

Kano city traffic am guessing you will link jigawa through kazaure.

The Ford edge had a SE - SEL - Limited and Sport in order of luxury respectively.

The year you are eyeing would probably have a 3.5L V6 not the 3.7L V6 or the 2.0T 4 cylinder engine which both were offered from 2011.

I would say the 2.0T is a good engine but not as economical as the i4 camry but same as V6 camry 20/28.

if you are uping ur budget and looking at the 2.0T the turbo warranty is 150k miles or 10 years with naija used and bad oil just remove 50k miles on top

it's a reliable vehicle overall with a solid stance the major costly parts are body parts, brand new parts aren't the ever chinko of the Toyota and Honda. You will be fine with it

if it was done by a professional using the required OEM parts, ask him for engine oil to use, since he is knowledgeable enough and can stand by his product he would be in the best position to recommend the necessary engine oil thickness.

If it was done by our local mechanic using low quality materials and cutting corners to reduce cost, better stick with thick oil to atleast enjoy the engine for a while.

How many times we go tell una say Toyota corolla is Toyota corolla whether it's CE, LE or sports. The only high grade corolla are XLE, GLI or Japanese Altis.

The corolla sports just has body kits, it's not designed to drive like a sports car so don't go chasing waterfalls

also have a security plan in place incase your area is not secured cause it can be burgled (write down ur brain box number) just incase, it is also snatched at gunpoint (get a tracker or engine disabling unit) also buy pedal or steering lock sometimes it is stolen whole

Equipment The passat tops here with state of the art audio, visual and comfort equipments followed by The accord, in 3rd place is both the sonata and cary depending on trim.

maintenance cost camry tops all, followed by Accord then sonata the passat is at the bottom.

Ease of maintenance is easy on the pocket

fuel consumption for the 4 cylinder it isn't bad for a CUV.

The vehicle came with a CVT reliable transmission but ensure you use only the recommended fluid no shortcuts, use the recommended engine oil too to avoid smoking.

take care of your machine and it would take care of you

your year bracket are been burgled though the most norious one is the Japanese variant 03 to 07, carrying the 2nd place is the US 03 to 07. The 08 to 12 I have not heard or seen a burgled one though not free from robbers.

I did say 13 and upwards is in the safe zone for now since it hasn't flooded our market

fuel volume regulator control is faulty reason for the high fuel consumption. Do you have smoke coming out of your tail pipe?

yours engine is the 1mz your fuel regulator assay is located in the tank along side your fuel pump. The way the tank is built and fuel pump location if the tank hits something hard it always affects the fuel pump.

I want you to check the fuel tank for deformity like caving in, severe scratch etc.

most solution point to wiring and injector cleaning only the gurus with experience can assist you though

they are both same vehicle in different body shape. Then the matrix could have a 4WD train for better traction also could sport disc brake at rear instead of drums.
