Christianity EtcRe: Glorious Quran by nuru(m): 7:57am On Jan 23, 2007
In yorubaland, we say ' pele lobi o lako' . That is, the same word can be interpreted positively or negatively, depending on the usage.

Constructive Dialog/Engagement is not the same as flagrant and diabolical disrespect and I am sure you know what I mean.

Allah says in the Quran "This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion" (Quran Ch 5 Vs 4).

It is left for individuals to accept or reject the favors of Allah. But practicing Islam is the best thing that can happen to anybody. You will know this if you have ever experienced 'sakinot' just knowing you are a Muslim. Sakinot can roughly be translated as 'tranquility of the highest order'.

I want to recommend for David and co to obtain Audio CD's of the Quran and listen to the recitations for just 20 minutes. Never mind whether you understand the meaning or not. Just listen to it, Do the pondering later. I am sure something will prick your heart that this is from the Creator of the Universe and what is beyond.
Christianity EtcRe: Glorious Quran by nuru(m): 12:44pm On Jan 21, 2007
It is not true that Muslims are not tolerant of dialogs, what Muslims hate is express disrespect for anything Islam. Call to the way of God with wisdom and fine teachings and when you need to argue, you do it beautifully. Its a good thing that an observer of this thread is able to pick up negative trends that non Muslims introduced into the thread.

The Quran is a living book, maybe in a way unknown to many non-Muslims. The Quran is a book of miracle. For example in Surat Naml, chapter 27, when Allah told the story of Sulayman, a particular incidence was narrated when Suleyman got the throne of Bilkis to be transported to him instantaneously (verses 38-41) over a distance. As an engineer, I take this to be a prophecy of the invention of a machine/system that will be able to move three-dimensional material objects over space instantaneously just like the internet does for data.

So if tomorrow such a machine in invented and patented, I will not be too surprised to allow the invention and its benefits to derail me from the glorious path of Islam.

The christians that attack Islam on this forum have blinded their hearts to the Truth. Its a pity they are that deaf, blind and dumb. As for us, we will continue to pray for them to see the light. We love the truth, we love those who follow it, we love those that acknowledge it even when pride turn their hearts away. Those who deny the truth are the ultimate losers. But the belivers that do good work will attain eternal bliss.

Wont somebody join the winners today.

The sweetness of Paradise, non can describe it, just like a baby in the womb cannot comprehend fully the 'goods and evil' of this world. All description of Paradise that Muslims believe are allegorical. The real thing when we enter will be incomparably sweeter.

Christianity EtcRe: Christians And Moslems Can Be Friends! by nuru(m): 2:11pm On Sep 29, 2006
Christians on this thread are so pessimistic of good friendship between muslims and their brethren in faith. Why must christians be so 'hateful' of Islam. It beats my imagination. I grew up under a christian mother and a muslim father who have been married for more than 60 years and are both still alive. I think its the mindset that matters. If its not right, even christians from one denomination to another will not make good friends.
Christianity EtcRe: Christians And Moslems Can Be Friends! by nuru(m): 7:21am On Sep 29, 2006
One can see clearly on this thread that while most muslims affirm that christians and muslims can be friends, most christians think otherwise. Despite all the hues and cries about Jihad, this tells everyone who is more tolerant of the other.

Muslims will not denigrade the personnality of Christ Jesus.

You and I know that the muslim nation is the best. In which part of the world would a shop-owner leave his shop full of gold without locks for the purpose of prayers 5 times a day and will come back to meet the shop unbugled. Surely in the Islamic country.

When smeone is prejudiced, he fails to see the good of a people or a nation and even unconsciously colors the good as bad.

The worship of One true God that Jesus exhorted you to ( Mark 12 Verse 28 )is what the muslims are putting into practise.

I have noted how you misinterprete verse of the Quran to give it the slant and meaning you want to convey. Thank God some of us know the Quran and the Hadith. But let me ask you people, why must you resort to lies and half truth to preach christianity. Is that how Jesus called the disciples. I think for using lies and fabrications in your arguements, you should repent. God is ever forgiving.

You can then humbly accept the religion of Truth, the ideal religion for mankind of all races, generations and places. Remember that this is the religion of Jesus, Moses, Ibrahim, Sulaymon and all the Prophets of God. Whoever takes up another religion, it will not be accepted from him by God and on the day of judgement he will be among the losers. I pray for your souls not to be among the losers.

I have not had time to contribute on this forum for sometime.

The attempts by some of you to discredit Islam and Prophet Muhammad shows lack of wisdom. Even the Pope will tell you how wrong you are. The Almighty says Islam is His appointed religion and that Muhammad is His Messanger and you are doubting. The wise people will leave you to your doubt, afterall some people also doubted Jesus. It is the nature of man that whenever something honorable comes to him from his Lord, he will first of all doubt. Whatever may be your opinion does not count and does not reduce the fact that Muhammad came with the last testament, Quran.

Believe or don't believe, those who are given wisdom when the signs of God are rehearsed to them, they recognise it.

Non muslims dont know what they are missing in goodies.

Muslims have so much spiritual uplifting that its taken for granted and generally dont talk about it except in few compelling instances such as a forum like this. That's why whn we watch confession sessions on chrtian TV programs, we are not moved because what is with us is better and more complete. Afterall the yorubas will say 'Agba ofifo nindun ladunju - Empty barrels sound loudest '

I invite all of you out there who are non-muslims to embrace Islam today. Your life and hereafter will be guaranteed successful.

It never cease to amaze me the wonderful Revelation of God called Al-Quran. Even till today, you read it and you hear Allah speaking to you directly.

There was a time in 1985, I was troubled over an issue and I decided to petition Allah with my request between Asri and Magrib, and I did. When it was time for Magrib,  I prayed with the Jamat in the Mosque. After the prayer, I just told myself why hurry back to the hostel ( I was in the University then), why not wait to say the Ishai before going back. So I decided to read the Quran and just opened any page that my hand flipped to. What did I see, my hand flipped to Surat Ibrahim Chapter 14  verse 34 and guess what I read out to myself
" And He giveth you of all that ye ask for. But if ye count the favors of Allah, never will ye be able to number them. Verily, man is given up to injustice and ingratitude. "

I knew instantly that that was Allah speaking to me and confirming acceptance of my petition. And it came to pass that my issue was resolved in an outstanding manner.

That is the Quran for you. The Noble Quran. The Glorious Quran. The Word of God.

The enemies are those described in Surat Buruj Chapter 85 Verse 10

" Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire "

As for mere unbelievers that do not persecute, they are to be invited to Islam and if they persist in unbelieve, then we say to them

"For you is your religion and for me is mine" Surat Kafirun Chapter 109

Malik,

I want to seize this opportunity to invite you into Islam. Its your innate religion. You only just have to acknowledge it consciously.

You can begin by saying in your heart or confessing with your tongue ' I bear witness that My Creator, My God is One. He has no partners, no associates and Him alone I will worship. I also bear witness that Muhammad is His Messanger and Prophet '.

I pray that Islam will be easy for you to practise.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Muslims Use Mind Games To Draw People Into Islam? by nuru(m): 9:02am On Jul 31, 2006
David

The Quran was revealed to be understood by all generations in different ages. The reflection of the setting of sun in a murky water that ZulQuarinaen witnessed is nothing for you to trouble your mind about. Afterall you were not there to witness the event. The words of God are spoken for people who do not have mischief at hearth to understand.

Allah says He used the Mountain to balance the earth and you are doubting. Are you the creator, or is it science that tells you its not true. If you care, take a study on earth/geological science even at amateur level and see the revelations. Mind you, there are lots of things about creation that even science today cannot explain. So be warned that when Allah speaks, it is the Truth and it will be cheer arrogance to claim otherwise.

Malik

It appears you just choose to be deaf to explainations given on this thread. You would do well to remove prejudice from your mind. Leave it open so that Light can come in. You have not denied the use of languages in different grammatical coinages for different tongues and people, yet you are constraining yourself from understanding the Oneness and Uniqueness of your God. Even if you do not become a muslim which I am praying for you, you at least should acknowledge the Truth.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Muslims Use Mind Games To Draw People Into Islam? by nuru(m): 7:07am On Jul 31, 2006
Malik,

Why are you trying to play blind. Allah Alone is the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. He is one. Even the english that I am using to communicate with you recognises Imperial Talks.

If you are not convinced that Allah is One, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it, but dont misrepresent a fact that is clear.

Your Lord, your God is One. He has no partner and Him alone you should worship.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Muslims Use Mind Games To Draw People Into Islam? by nuru(m): 8:16pm On Jul 30, 2006
Malik,

Allah is the Lord over the Yorubas as well as other tribes. I have to give the example of Yorubas because such language usage seems strange and impossible to you.

Now that you accept that it is possible to speak majestically, you would now ask why Allah used such language slant for Himself. The answer is that He is Our God. He knows us, He knows that He has allowed different language slants to be in use among His creatures. Mind you the language we speak is not what the animals speak, yet they understand themselves. For us human beings, out of His Mercy He has sent down His Books throughout the generations in different forms and formats and in different languages. So that no one will have any excuse of not hearing the message. He knows that among some us, it is the use of language majestically that will convey the message in concrete terms. He knows some other language style will suit others. So He spoke to all of us and yet affirm His singularity. And that is why the common denominator in the messages of all the Prophets and Messengers of Allah including Christ Jesus is the worship of One God.

As for miracles with numbers, you and I know that Our God created the world and all in it with order and rhythm. In this age that we happen to be around, orderliness is mostly expressed in numbers. Our great computer system is based on simple ordering of 1 and 0.

Why 1 and 0, because our Creator is 1 all of us put together is 0. That is the meaning of Lailaa illa LLAU, there is no ( 0 ) god Except Allah (1 ).

Come to think of it Number 19 are two digits, add the two, you get 10, two other digits confirming Allah as 1 and others 0.

These are some of the knowledges that are applicable to our age and generation that prove our Origin. In every age and civilization, there will always be prove of One God. What it will be in the next generation, we cant fathom now.

But our God, Allah, Oloun, Eledumare, Ubamgiji, Chineke is One. To Him belongs all the beautiful names and to Him all True Worship should be directed.

May Allah continue to bless us.

David, there is no need to use foul language on this thread.

Malik, we have explained to you so many times to use of plural to underscore soveriegnty, majesty and respect. You wrote that one cannot use

"WE" in speaking of something ascribed to just a single being! .

Ask any Yoruba man from Nigeria how such is used in their language and you would see that such language usage is an everyday thing and people get to understand themselves. This is a language that is not even the Arabic in which the Quran was revealed. If you care to know the Truth, research other languages of the world.

Afterall, the Originator of human beings that are using languages to communicate is Allah.

The Quran is the Word of Allah, if you do not believe it's your cup of tea. Muslims dont use miracles to preach Islam, but when Allah shows us His Signs, we tell whoever cares. As for the meaning of those congruent numbers, please use your faculty to think them out. In Islam, we are encouraged to research and to ponder on the creations of Allah. You have to discover the Truth by yourself once the route is shown to you.

Allah is the Creator of the every being. Islam is the natural religion of mankind. I am praying that it will not be too late before you realise the Truth.

Less I forget, please do not use foul languages.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Some Muslims Use Mind Games To Draw People Into Islam? by nuru(m): 2:25pm On Jul 28, 2006
My dear friend, its not good to be obstinate when you see the Truth. Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He revealed the Quran to Prophet Muhammad.

Al-Quran
Surat Nisai Chapter 4

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Verse

82 Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy.

Let me refer you to an article and when you read it, dont just flip over it, research it and ponder over your findings. Then you will know that Allah is your Creator as well as the Creator of your progenitors. He alone is to be worshipped and there is none like unto Him.

'' Tariq Al Swaidan discovered some verses in the Holy
Qur'an that mention one thing is equal to another,
i.e. men are equal to women. Although this makes
sense grammatically, the astonishing fact is that the
number of times the word man appears in the Qur'an is
24 and the number of times the word woman appears is
also 24, therefore not only is this phrase correct in
the grammatical sense but also true mathematically,
i.e. 24 = 24.

Upon further analysis of various verses, he discovered
that this is consistent throughout the whole Qur'an,
where it says one thing is like another. See below
for astonishing result of the words mentioned number
of times in Arabic Qur'an:

Dunia (one name for life) 115. Aakhirat (one name for
the life after this world) 115
Malaika (Angels) 88 . Shayteen (Satan) 88
Life 145 , Death 145
Benefit 50 . Corrupt 50
People 50 . Messengers 50
Eblees (king of devils) 11 . Seek refuge from Eblees
11
Museebah (calamity) 75 . Thanks 75
Spending (Sadaqah) 73 . Satisfaction 73
People who are mislead 17 . Dead people 17
Muslimeen 41 . Jihad 41
Gold 8 . Easy life 8
Magic 60 . Fitnah (dissuasion, misleading) 60
Zakat (Taxes Muslims pay to the poor) 32 . Barakah
(Increasing or blessings of wealth) 32
Mind 49 . Noor 49
Tongue 25 . Sermon 25
Desite 8 . Fear 8
Speaking publicly 18 . Publicising 18
Hardship 114 , Patience 114
Muhammed 4 . Sharee'ah (Muhammed's teachings) 4
Man 24. Woman 24
And amazingly enough have a look how many times the
following words appear:

Salat 5,
Month 12,
Day 365,
Sea 32, Land 13
Sea + land = 32+13= 45
Sea = 32/45*100=71.11111111%
Land = 13/45*100 = 28.88888889%
Sea + land =100.00%
Modern science has only recently proven that the water
covers 71.111% of the earth, while the land covers
28.889%.

Is this a coincidence?
Question is that Who taught Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)
all this?

Reply automatically comes in mind that ALMIGHTY ALLAH
taught him this. "

AlQuran

Surah Al-Mulk (The Sovereignty, Control)

Chapter 67:

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Verses

1. Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;-

2. He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;-

3. He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of ((Allah)) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?

4. Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.

Please do a research on sovereign use of language and open your heart. Allah is One and Only. Alone in His Glory. No partner, No assistant, No wife, No consort.
