Shegbe: All what the OP said is true. I graduated from unilorin a few yrs back & I can categorically tell u dat d experience isn't funny. Infact I have witnessed a fight between a security guard & an M.sc student. However, all what u go through actaully prepares u 4 d future. My first few yrs after school weren't funny at all but I survived, today its a different story. OP enjoy ur short stay dia, u'll be happy u went 2 unilorin. Greatest gbo gbo!

Not exactly talking about them Sudanese/Somali refugees (except the ones that have at least considerably integrated), but like other young african immigrants/students that a young Nigerian can relate to and with.
Secondly, what's your assessment of the general perception of Africans (esp Nigerians) that the Aussies have? Are they alright with having a laugh and/or a drink with us without prejudice or should I only look out for 'my own' when I get to Oz, lol.

@all, if your acceptance letter is over a month since it has been sent,go to th post office and told them to check if your letter have arrived.sometimes,if u do not have P.O Box,they delay in delivery your letters to your address.That was how I received mine.

Chaulay1: I don't tink it is all babies dat enjoy being backed. my baby is going to 2mths now and on 2 occasions dat I tried backing her, she was fidgeting and whimpering and I had to put her down after sometime when I realised dat she was not just comfortable with it. Some pple said she reacted like dat because she is not used to it and dat I started rather late. Whereas I'm tinking she's even too young to be backed. Well, anyhow sha.

You are very correct. Not all baby likes been backed. My son is 5months now. I always force him on her mum back, whenever she wanted to back him. I have to pin down his two legs. Therefore,not all our children likes backing.

dubai4eva: I av live in qatar for 3months I know a lot about qatar the Indians,Pakistanis,Bangladesh and Nepal are being used for cheap labour so they make the job pay rate low unless if u have GCC experience please my advise to people in the house is note that there are job in qatar but the pay is too low and discouraging imagine u being paid 40k per month it is only UAE that pay well but if u av been following this trend u see all my contribution pls I beg u guys don't be mislead if u come to UAE with tourist visa to look for job be ready to do menial job and u might end up spending before geting the menial job,I live alone I pay 1250 aed for one room self contain,I have assist a lot of stranded Nigerians who was mislead now dubai is very hot than Northern Nigeria you can't even hunt job now because of too much sun most jobs are direct employment and Gcc experience so no say them no advice u ouh!!!

@dubai4eva, what you saying now is that, as a graduate in Qatar. You can't get a job for 150k in Qatar. Or UAE best paid than Qatar. Moreso , you are saying too much sun, I beggieee, we are used to it jooooor. Nigerians can survive anywhere.

ayenny02: yes he can go with tourist visa but there are different in getting the visa with ur own money and the company get it with their own money.
Firtstlt. If the company use their money to process their visa you would not be able to leave the job when you see better offer till the years you are agreed upon.
Secondly, if the company process the visa with their own money, atimes they will not release you NOC after the end of the contract which means you can not look for another job without the NOC. And many more so using ur own money to get the working visa is better than let the company get it for you

House, your advise is needed. A friend of mine intend going to Qatar through a friend that works in Qatar. He said he will get a sponsor for him. He billed us 500k for the 5yrs Visa, 80k for the work permit when he gets there. 50k for accommodation and 50k for feeding and moving around for job searching pending the time he will get a job. Total comes to 680k. And air ticket is not part of it oooooo.

I just want to seek for your opinion if this is the normal bill for Qatar cos I think it is expensive. Or should he go to Abu Dhabi for job search. Pls kindly advice. Thank you

The 300k covers my medicals, which I have done and also for flight ticket. moreso, I was told that if everything comes up, I must have atleast 200usd for my feeding pending the time I will get paid.

And I don't understand becos u said ur 2000dhs is excluding accommodation and transport or were u intending to write including?you can accept it if it includes your accommodation and transport becos dose are the most important things.But security is a good start because every employer in UAE wants to see on your Cv that you have a UAE work experience.so at the long run,you won't despise your little beginning!

The 2000dhs is the monthly salary and allowances are not added to it. The company is picking up the accommodation and transportation expenses.
