any small thing, ''Nigeria is a failed state'' if you are a Nigerian then you have also failed and when Nigeria becomes a succesful state, u will still remain a failed chap, cos u cant see beyond your nose! Nigeria is a Work in Progress!

Abi o. I don't know where all these 'Failed state' prophets of doom get their ministerial mandate from, to so confidently make such assertions. Half of them cannot even define the term and fewer still don't understand what it entails. SMH

naptu2: Bethel Ministries! Gabriel Oduyemi! In the early 1990s I used to see him cruising down Lekki Expressway in his white cadillac limo.

Mr Naptu, your seeming seamless knowledge comes to the fore again. I've been trying to get a hold on you for a while now unsuccessfully of course. We need to talk please.

I said: Where have you been all this time? Don't be angry. Come out and play. The rest is in English. Is it not right. Fix please. That is how I learn.

'Come out and play' could be (depending on circumstances) be:
*Show (for 'Come out'), make me relate
*Show, make we yarn (This is more a word for 'discuss')
Those are the ones that occur to me at the moment.
The other parts are alright.
And relax, you are doing splendidly, against the background you described earlier.

Politics / Re: Train Hitch-hikers Still Reign Supreme by nuwell(m): 2:09pm On Jun 05, 2013
Hanging on trains constitutes environmental nuisance, which must not be allowed to go on unchallenged in a mega city like Lagos. The taskforce will continue its raid on train hikers until further notice.”

The sooner the government implements their plans, the better.
I'm still awed by the sheer audacity of some of these hikers. One even ran along the roof the other day as the train was slowing to a stop at Ikeja-along bus stop. If they are not scared of loosing their lives, their behaviour is a nuisance, an indictment against any claims of the civility by the average Nigerian Lagosian. Its any eyesore. I should try to get some pictures.

More Random Thoughts

*My man, J Moss seems to be reorienting his music. The 'J Moss Project' and 'V2' are still my favourite albums. Maybe 'cos I haven't listened as extensively to 'V4' and others...

*For your choir pieces, you can't beat Pastor Hezekiah or Donald Lawrence...

*I wouldn't dare neglect to mention Mr. Kirk Franklin - Le Maestro Extraordinaire. The MOG spews gospel hits like a plague and he ain't retiring anytime soon...

Some Random Thoughts

I remember when Sammie Okposo to my mind, was the best and only thing on the Nigerian gospel music scene. He's still good but now the market is bigger and more open...or I guess, I just got a lil' bored or disenchanted with him after the 'No more drama' album...

My man, Samsong never seemed to explode as much but he's always been lurking, in his own way, in the shadows...

*I marvel at how Tope Alabi's sound seems to have defined yoruba gospel and even secular brands in her genre...

*I haven't seen a CD of The Experience concept since I attended the first edition in 2007.. .

Hmm...
Music/Radio / Re: Gospel Music Hangout: Enthusiasts And Musicians by nuwell(m): 5:54pm On May 28, 2013
So let's share,
* Singers and Performers, who's your musical influence - all-time or at present?
*Fans and Enthusiasts, who are you current listening to?
* Critics...you know what to do.
