HumbledbYGrace: we ran out of food, we are on 40 days dry fasting, care to join? grin its free grin

Ran out? Sounds like a self-imposed hunger strike. Why dost thou hunger and thirst in vain? I's never scared of fasting, by the way.

Walahi! Mr VanTee, this is an exquisite work. Well written with a great command of grammar (usually my disappointment with many good writers), enthralling plot, humour-laden, superbly articulated...

Concise, attention-grabbing and holding...

Fortunately, I could read everything at a go so I didn't experience the delayed update hassle. Like someone said, this is a splendid debut. Well done.

Guys, great work so far. I'm however concerned that we're not making use of the discussion thread for all these extra-story gists. We'll only end up deforming this thread at this rate and there's still so much to be written. Just thought I'd say. Apparently I've just committed the Same crime. Lol

Eze. You be badt guy o! And I thought I'd seen the 'worst' that could be. Great work. You linked well with your forbears. Wicked sense of humour. Nna, chop knuckle biko

Guys, guys, guys, Please don't let things get out of hand.
HBG, I was going to respond when you reacted earlier to Flow's comment, to say that there was no need to get too worked up on the matter. I told myself to mind my business and that Flow would ignore probably it. But my fears have been confirmed. This thread has the potential to be derailed if you respond again. Every writer has a necessary doze of the ego, to sustain their art. It can get out of hand sometimes but can also be reined in. Interestingly enough, Flow is one very 'correctable' (if I may so coin) guy. Please remain Humbled-by-Grace.

Flow, please exercise restraint with the generalized comments about people. Dygeasy, only informed you about the protocol here so as to avoid confusion with the contributions of the writers and to keep order on this thread. There's nothing patronizing about that. Just keep flowing.

This can be a great thread (and I want it to be), if everyone comports themselves.

You are both great people. I hope you both understand. Thanks for listening

Car Talk / Re: My Childhood Car Fantasies by nuwell(m): 11:43am On Jul 18, 2013
Car: Volvo 240
Distinctive Feature(s): Box Headlights, straight lines and the distinctive growl of the engine.
Interpretation: To my mind at the time, this was the rival of the Mercedes W123. I don't recall what planted or established that conception but so it was. While I wasn't too fanatical of it, it seem to be a good car. I took a ride once in the roomy backseat of a family friend's Volvo240 sedan as a child and I couldn't get over the impression that I was sitting at the bottom of a high-walled box. Perhaps, the subconscious threat I felt it posed to my beloved Benz was what influenced my bias.

Hmmm...really? Well, sexkillz is a mod so I thought it would be quite fitting to give him HOD status... Didn't know Geasy had given him student status embarassed

Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope subsequent writers will do a better job smiley

C'mon, you're not going to be contributing subsequently? Awww... *sad*. Please change your mind o. More, more, more. Sexkillz is in a more interesting position as the HOD though.

Wow! The Nairaland story's off to a good start. Those last two updates were so hilarious! LMAO!!! I think I'm going to enjoy this.
However please watch out for character inconsistencies. For instance, Dygeasy said sexkillz was a student (or at least implied it?) but Ishi declared he's the HOD of the Romance Department. More inspiration jare.
