I will like to have some discussion with you sir
Please I want to live Nigeria and relocate to any save African country
I have Rwanda and Gambia in mind, and it’s for business
What advice do you have for me and like how much can I manage with then what business do you think that moves there ? Thanks
Kigali Rwanda is good, many Nigerians are moving into that country now. In fact I have a guy that moved in there about 4months ago from Nigeria and according to him, he is doing very well. He has lived in so many countries, including Egypt, Philippines and others but he is now based in Kigali and according to him, he is doing very well. He said he opened a drinking joint and that he hardly have chance for himself as from morning till 12mid night he is busy with customers. Rwandans drinks a lot, so he is doing well in that drink stuff. I really do not know the type of business I can advise u to go into. The guy didn't have drinking joint in mind before going. In fact he had some thing totally different in mind but wen he got there, he took like 2months to observe things for himself and eventually went into drink business. So my advise is that u go there and look for wat the people need and go into it. And for how much you need to go there? My advice is , pls plan and prepare very well financially, because things are very very expensive over there in Kigali, far more than any state in Nigeria, including Abuja. House rent, food and just about every thing, things are just very expensive in Kigali. Bear that in mind wen making up ur mind in traveling to Kigali. Thanks you

Recommending a business for him does not justify your comment that he is too old to learn a skill. How long does it take to become a web developer, data analytics, app developer etc. I know someone in his 40s who become a data scientist in one year. As you claim to be tech mentor to youths you only circle among youths and don’t need to conclude with that

Also consider the level of corruption in each country. They say Rwanda is one of the easiest to set up a business. They do not have corruption. Their tough president wants the country to grow unlike many others.

Only good for tourist visit. Dont go there for business, they may not approve your business plan and you must set up before approval and immigration will visit and rate your business. They are all looking for white to invest. Try uganda, you will not regret it.

Although, rwandans are friendly, their weather is nice very mountainous, if you like coffee you will enjoy the place, very clean and organised other side is, you must be careful most Rwandans are spy which l dont blame them because they dont want another war, every junction you go you will find police, is a police state, water is expensive, rain is scarce, house rent are very expensive.

If you, still like the place go for school route not business, this will help you alot to study the place while schooling, if you can cope yiu settle after your course. Dont go for short course or training, go for regular program. Like degress, master, phd that is cool, east african university, uni Rwanda etc. I just want to let people know what you about rwanda to avoid waste of time and resource. Many are on this thread that know the fact but difficult to say or tell the truth. Then be careful for fellow Nigerian, so cannot help they will spoil your plan, stay clear, look for other National like ugandan, zambian as your friend. Not all are bad but be vigilant.

It is not all about beauty of a country but is all about how you can live there and survive. The country take rwandan first, I dont blame them it is normal. Many rwandan are equally looking for job so remove getting job over from your mind.
My advise to people considering rwanda to migrate to. Sorry topographic error is there is any, l am feeling sleepy but just want to assist someone by answering most questions.

God bless us.
Oh my brother, thanks so very much and God bless you real good for taken out your time to respond to this. A friend of mine who is a pastor just relocated to Kigali on Wednesday this week, just 3days ago with his family, a wife and a 18yr old daughter, and according to him, the place is very beautiful. But I'm not just looking for beauty but a place where one can invest and have a good returns, since Nigeria of today dosnt seem that promising any more. Pls watever further advise you have will be well appreciated. Thanks once again.

Send me PM

Send you PM for what reason? This thread had been very open for all to make their enquiry on Rwanda and no one has ever requested for a PM. You just came here now with that your stupid fraudulent activity to look for who to scam with your useiess PM. Rwanda immigration services are so open and nothing complicating about any thing regarding a visit to Rwanda. Even the info he didn't get in his home country before his trip to Rwanda can easily be accessed there. He can't be deported over issues such as he is trying to know here. Yes, it is good to make enquiry before embarking on any journey but there is no serious preparation needed when deciding to travel to Rwanda. The only serious and major preparation needed is your money, and as long as you have that sorted out, then you have got no issues at all. So quit that your rubbish PM watever, I see you are trying to scam him but it won't work here. Rubbish.
Travel / Re: Best African Country With Low Cost Of Living by nwadikeokey11: 4:03pm On Apr 16, 2022
pansophist:

My guy, I would have recommend Eastern African countries like Kenya and Rwanda, but since you're Nigerian, getting a residence permit might be somewhat difficult, alongside renewals and meeting the requirements to renew in the first place. So on this ground, I'll always recommend other ecowas countries.

If your aim is stable electricity, good security, a level-headed peaceful citizens, a society not ridden with crime, low materialism on steriods, low corruption and where you can actually enjoy your money in peace without fear of your life, then I'll recommend Ivory coast, but if learning French is an headache for you, then Ghana.

I've been to both countries, so I'm giving you a first hand information. Make sure you have money while going there, but the system might frustrate you if you're competing for local jobs, since its almost non-existent. If you earn in foreign currencies preferably, these are fantastic place to live in peace. Both countries also have a large expat communities, especially Ghana, many who called that place home.

If you're a rugged man like me that likes to live like a commoner, you'll actually meet many of the Europeans inside 'tro tro' their public transport, or the crazy ones haggling price of tomatoes in the market like mama Amaka. That should tell you how safe Ghana is. Uber works 24/7, without fear of robbery. I was shocked myself. Just have money, Ghana will be your own Europe, with a superb weather.
Ghana superb weather? Oga did I read you well? Superb weather, Ghana? I don't think you have truly been to Ghana before if not you won't be talking about a suburb weather and you mention Ghana where the sun is as hot as hell fire. In fact I would rather stay in Nigeria than Ghana if it's all about weather because Ghana weather is like hell fire compare to that of Nigeria. And as for East Africa, it is actually very easy to get a resident permit in Rwanda, all you need to achieve that is to rent a shop and get some good amount of goods inside the shop then go for your resident permit and they will give you easily. The only issue he would have is, cost of living is very high in Rwanda compare to Nigeria, also things are too expensive in Ghana and Ivory Coast, and the OP made it clear that the said friend is looking for an African country with low cost of living. So those countries are completely out of it.

JoyousFurnitire:
Not fuel scarcity, It's poor management. The BRT agency doesn't work with data. I've spent well over 3 hrs (countless times) waiting for bus at the Obalende terminal (Obalende - Oshodi) in the evening.

Sometimes the bus(es) won't arrive and we'll have to go board private and other public transportation.

Also poor road network and traffic are contributing factors as most of these buses get stuck in traffic hence delays in return trip.
3hours? Only? Then you haven't spent no time on BRT yet. Several times I had gotten to their terminals both at Obalende and TBS around 5:pm and waited till 9:pm to board a BRT bus, and even when the bus did come you will be surprise to see people who just came, people who were never on the queue boarding the bus before you, just because they could cough out #200 to the BRT agents or workers, whatever they are called. BRT management is crap and rubbish.

We ought to have kill all of you in our region if we're truly hate mongers yet a day can't pass without some set of ibos coming to the west. Haven't you asked yourself why Yorubas would rather relocate abroad than move to southeast? But the dream of a young ibo boy is to save up to live in southwest.
You are a complete maggot to think that your dirty Yoruba people are not living in the East. As far back as when i was a kid your Yoruba people have being living in my village in their numbers, i mean village not even city. If a count should be made you will be shocked at how many of your Yoruba people that are living in the East. I went to see my family in the village of Ikwere in Rivers state last year and was completely surprised at the number of the yaribas living in that village because they occupy every space in that village. You pig maggot village champion thinks your Yoruba people are not living in the East? I pity you pig indeed. For i have boarded same vehicle from Owerri going to my village and was surprised to meet a Yoruba guy from Ogun who knows all the roads in my area far more than myself and speak Igbo very well. He said he has lived there for many years and even belong to the village meeting. Travel and see Yoruba pig.

You are personalising this thing.I'm speaking in a general sense when I say the number of Nigerians that want to live in South Africa is not as insignificant as you guys are trying to suggest. There's even a thread about South African Visa application on this very forum. The guy that quoted me said Mauritius is better than South Africa yet the number of Nigerians in Mauritius is 10x less than the Nigerian population in South Africa, which doesn't even make sense.
No right thinking person would say that, unless the person is trying to be funny, if not it will be very hilarious for any one to think that a small country like Mauritius comes any where close to South Africa not to talk of being better. I don't like deception and lies, as much as i dislike how some South Africans talks bad about Nigeria i can never be part of those that condemn South Africa as a country, though i frown at how her citizens are killing nationals of other African countries residing in South Africa, but truth be told, no other African country comes even close to South Africa in almost every thing. That's the hard truth. Nigeria is only big in population, apart from that even the Mauritius is better. We should start telling ourselves the hard truth, Nigeria is a complete failed nation, and any one supporting the impunity going on in Nigeria is either being mischievous or the person has never left the shores of Nigeria, period.

I was talking about other Africans as well. The number of Nigerians in SA was 800 000 last I checked, it's probably more than that now.

I never said every Nigerian wants to live in South Africa, however,a great number of them want to.Which country in Africa do you think will be a viable bet when the UK & US ain't accepting your Visa applications?
All my life up until this very moment i have never thought, wish, plan or desire to visit South Africa, i mean visit not to talk of live there. Meanwhile i have visited several other African countries but South Africa has never been attractive to me, not trying to talk down on the country, No, because which ever way we look at it, South Africa is still far more develop than Nigeria and every other African country, but the truth is that for me i don't just want to visit that country, at least for now, wouldn't know about the future. I also know so many people from Nigeria who traveled to South Africa with the intention of settling down there but returned back to Nigeria after just few months of living in South Africa and their reason was that they prefer Nigeria to South Africa. So i wouldn't know where you got the idea that most Nigerians wishes and dreams of living in South Africa.

Some of you should just stop saying rubbish and discouraging people who want to try their destiny somewhere else. If every body is to follow your wall gecko theory then those Nigerians who were almost miserable when they were living in Nigeria and who are now well know all over the world in those countries they relocated to when Nigeria was suffocating them would never have ventured out at all. Your wall gecko theory is not applicable in relocation because relocation from one place to another means movement and movement means progress, therefore you may never progress unless you move. Just as Nigeria democracy and other countries democracy can never be the same so also Nigeria wall gecko and other countries own can never be the same, because a malnourished wall gecko in Nigeria and a well fed wall gecko in other countries can never be the same, though their names may be the same but their look can never be the same. Those tiny house rats and gutter rats can never be the same, in fact some times people mistake some very big gutter rats for a rabbit. I have seen people who could not feed their family when they were in Nigeria but who started sending money to their family almost immediately they traveled out of Nigeria. So quit discouraging people who want to try else where, if you are comfortable living in Nigeria fine, but please stop talking ill of those that want to move because your destiny and theirs can never be the same.

I will reach you later. I lived in Kigali few years ago, at that time i was just touring countries of the world, mainly African countries. When i was there i enjoyed the country so well in just about every thing and for that reason i said to myself that i will invest in that country and probably move in there, that's if i wishes to move away from Nigeria. At the time i was there i registered my company name and had friends of some few big Nigeria and Rwandan personalities but for some time now i lost contacts of most of these people. I have my company here and in some of the West African countries but want to expand to East Africa and we are thinking of starting off from Kigali Rwanda. I will talk to you privately later because i will like to know how good seafood business is in Kigali and Rwanda generally. Thanks nwannem and Gods speed to you

You don't settle things like these sir, you just let it happen ,time will tell who the scammer or ripper is...

As for @bigkokorep , he's an Igbo business man just like yourself @nwadikeokey111, he is registered, he has Rwandans working for him, he has two offices, he is constantly wracking his brain and starting businesses here...he is a business man, I'm not, I just have a small side business, apologies for the way he might have spoken to you, he is a truly matured person, he even tried to get across to the said people who said they were scammed ,then they turned on him and started the usual mudslinging, let everyone learn from this, not all Nigerians deserve help, it's not everyone you should help, Nigerians have an innate distrust of everyone.... It's not their fault, it's the society we came from, as for the couples they said were scammed , I do not know anyone who such happened to, but I hope we can get to the bottom of it with reasonable Nigerians who are willing to share more information about it so as to get the agent who did such..

@nwadikeokey111 and other who have more information, I'm open +2348022168074...

An Igbo man should never have said that he didn't know my name wen it is boldly written here. Well, I would have apologized to him but wat I hate in life is threat, wen u try that with me I will dare u to do ur worse and trust me, it won't go well. Well, I'm out of this shit for good.

I already said I won't come here to post anything cos I already said everything I wanted to, Nigerians can kill and they are snakes ,even the good ones we are talking about are probably less than 5%

@nwadikeokey111 please I beg you do not allow anyone drag you into this quagmire of insults and mudslinging ,I saw that you mentioned and you said you asked him @techjeff questions he couldn't answer ,the guys running these rings around us are just next to my compound, I have put all my details online, I even encouraged everyone to come find out from me themselves, till now, no one has shown up...

I even saw where you @nwadikeokey111 said he told you I was begging the people I scammed , I am an ekiti guy ,stubbornness was born with us...especially if our hands are clean of an accusation, we will go to any length to defend it...this guy @techjeff, I have called him personally ,has he picked the calls to repeat any of his accusation to me in person,do not let Nigerians here drag you into their own personal biases ,but wherever you are as the guy @techjeff said, be careful of Nigerians, this is exactly why you should be careful, we form fake solidarity when abroad ,if only you can see through it, I am not rambling ,I'm giving a clear picture of who Nigerians are, never have I gone into anyone's DM seeking favours, I don't live on anyone's earnings , the said guy @techjeff said I don't have any business here...I ran a yegomoto bike business since June last year, even he is aware of it, even guy @nagodwine is aware of this, even some of my nigerian friends here in Rwanda who he said I scammed have the same business and I know what they make every week, they don't pay me, I don't collect emoluments from them and no one them came to Rwanda from Nigeria, some from Europe ,some of Asia countries...I have no one here who came directly from Nigeria ,this tells you that the Nigerian people who I know here, come here after doing their own research ,some for tourist reasons before they settled here....

Do not be deceived whatever you are seeing here is not purely informational , but a dig at tarnishing people's image ,if you are coming to Rwanda, avoid Nyamirrambo like a plague...you don't know who your friends are here, you don't know who your enemies..

Also to clarify, the group EmiToursGroup is quite a popular group consisting of Nigerians in all parts of the world

I am not the owner of the group ,I was only a member, just you guys, I joined the group looking for information when I newly arrived in Rwanda ...P.S (no one is a well of knowledge)...

For my safety and transparency, and for future proof ,people who come to my DM on nairaland,I give their numbers to the admin of that group so they can get information from multiple sources who are also members of nairaland, the reason for this is because if anyone accuses of anything untrue, they can post it there and fish me out...this guy @techjeff, I told him about the group ,in fact, quite a number of Nigerians here in Rwanda are on the group, it's a legit group of good Nigerians...the very first travel group I joined that hates agents, they advocate for doing things yourself and doing your applications for travel yourself, that group's good reputation speaks for itself...

So if you are not in Rwanda , or have been here before e.g Mr. @nwadikeokey111 please do not be dragged into this mudslinging, you have done your best to mediate...

Do not believe anything I tell you or he tells you, just let them continue throwing tantrums, the guys in question have not been scammed or ripped ,neither do they have a business or investment here....also I did not text or call anyone to forgive me ,only an offender asks for forgiveness ,I have put my cards on the table, the creator sees my conscience...

This is my last reply to everyone, do your things yourself if you can't trust people, as I speak in the midst of all these mudslinging, people still come into my DM to ask questions about travelling to Rwanda.. I'm not an agent, but like you guys, I have a right to post pictures of my travel experience on nairaland, the same Techjeff has threads too...

My DM is ever open and my door is always open, if you are aggrieved , come in wink smiley
Brother I never supported or sided any one over this matter, I'm always careful how I get myself involve in any issue I didn't know the genesis, because Igbo people says that the market I didn't know the time it started I shouldn't also know when it closes, so I'm not being dragged into it but as Nigerians I believe that such a shameful and disgraceful thing should never have occurred between you guys over there, hence my trying to get to the root of it and possibly broker peace between you guys. Again remember you asked me to get him to tell me who the person is that he was referring to? It's well brother but please whatever it is, you guys should try to settle it, you are all matured enough therefore should know better. Have a nice day.

No where does @Sheyimann, @jefftech or any of the protagonists mentioned Bigkoko nor uploaded any of it's staff or Post as been suspected as an active player in all these nonsense supposed adults should know how to curtail. That, you @nwandiokey did, fully aware that neither of them mentioned us. Yet you mentioned us. In a post on this tread, @sheyimann is also called Mr Pelumi. And no where does Mr Pelumi appear as a staff or claims to be a staff of Bigkoko.

But you @nwandikeokey11 whose real names we are yet to know, choose to sideline, ignore those glaring fact. No problem.

My full names are. OKECHUKWU NWADIKE. Okey is the abbreviation of Okechukwu, then Nwadike is my surname. (OkeyNwadike11) exception of the number 11 is still my real name just that that was one of the names that google made available for me to choose from at the time i created my nairaland account, so that's still my real name, i have got absolutely nothing to hide. Ask any Igbo person you know in your Rwanda to tell you the meaning of Nwadike, so for your own safety you should be the one who runs very far away from me any where you see me, even in that your Rwanda and not the other way round. That's if your intention is to make me to cowed. You, your Rwanda and your stupid company are just too small to look in my face let alone threaten me. Now crawl outta here back into whatever pit you crawled out from, rubbish. Do i look to you like any of those small boys who Rwanda may probably be the first country they have traveled to all their life from Nigeria, hence the rubbish they are displaying here? You dare me and i will sink you and that your stupid local company. You can as well search for. OKEYSON RESOURCES NIG LIMITED, that's my company name. I only comes here in my free time just to relax. Next time you tag me on your nonsense you will be talking to my lawyer, rubbish. Imagine this one, a Rwandan threatening a Nigerian? What an impetus, well wont blame you, Nigeria bad government is the culprit if not you should crawl where a Nigerian is and not even as little as cough. And even as it stands, your Rwanda as a country and her people ain't fit yet to talk to a Nigerian at all. Your government were and still begging us to come help your country grow, that's to invest in your country and help your very poor economy, so how dare you now act like you are something when you are completely nothing. I mean totally NOTHING. So shut the hell up and get outta here, what a rubbish.

Hello nwadikeokey11, are you in Rwanda?
All these you posted here did not in any way answer the question I put out to the guy whose legitimacy is been questioned by others, and that's what I'm trying to clear here. I never in any of my comment state or link you (bigkoko) to the guy or any one else, I only asked a simple question just to ascertain the guys sincerity. The question is, and still remain whether the guy in question is the owner of this alleged company (BIGKOKO). I'm very sure you read where that question was asked but intentionally ignored it and flew upon your own comments just to further advertise your alleged company? With the way this is going and your responses so far I have no doubt that you are the same person who is fraudulently milking unsuspecting Nigerians dry in Rwanda and if truly you are, my advise to you will be that you stop forthwith or you shall soon pay a very big price that would be far more than you could afford. Good day.
