So you want to tell me you haven't seen countless threads where He abused a whole ethnic group

Which kain ojoro una dey play here.
Show me one complaint here, you or anyone made about ethnic abuses that was not attended to. The fact is the mods cannot read through every single post being made on this section every time. So when someone insults/curses you or your ethnic, use the report to moderator button or make your complaint on this thread. If we fail to attend to it only then you can accuse us.
THIS IS THE BIGGEST LIE I HAVE SEEN ON NAIRALAND . I WAS BANNED FOR 5DAYS SOME WEEKS AGO BECAUSE I MADE A POST ON AWOLOWO'S  SUICIDE THROUGH RAT POISON ON A CERTAIN TOPIC AND THE MESSAGE WAS "YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FOR TURNING A THREAD INTO A TRIBAL BLAH BLAH BLAH". SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME DOES AWOLOWO = THE WHOLE YORUBA TRIBE ?? I WAS BANNED FOR TELLING THE TRUTH  cry

The selective application of disciplinary measures here is really worrisome
Even if Jesus should be the moderator, am sure some people will still accuse him of being selective, but we will continue to do our best to fair smiley

i'm just here crying. Somebody comfort me
Don't worry dear, be comforted that she died knowing people like you care and we did as much as we can to get her treated.

Her ending was much better than the mindset she showed on the suicide thread. Her last sets of posts are evident that she was better than when she 1st came here.

God knows best.

Very sad that the Beautiful and brave lady died, despite all. But as usual, in all situations, i choose the see the brigther side, that Perx died STRONG and HOPEFUL, a far cry from her state of mind just a few months ago. I smile because I know she would be smiling down at the faceless (atleast most of us are/were) community that gave her hope and a reason to live on at her lowest points.

May i ask if the coma was post operation? it is essential to know, as there might be lessons to be learnt.
She was billed for 2 surgeries (surgery for her right femur replacement and hip replacement). She had the 1st one 2 weeks ago and was recovering to get ready for the 2nd one before she went into coma.

The possibility of death never crossed my mind, the prayer point was her being able to walk again.

Who knows, a word of prayer against death could have helped.
Who am I to question HIM, what HE permitted!

If it still counts, I wish that you rest in peace, undisturbed, in a place where there's no pain.
Bye Perx!
I didn't see it too. It didn't even cross my mind that she might be close to dying. I only felt her pains. Was waiting for her to get stronger so we can discuss the 2nd stage of her surgery.

It is well.

Ribadu Taskforce Conflicts With NEITI

The high expectations Nigerians had over Mallam Nuhu Ribadu‘s appointment as the chairman of the Revenue Taskforce for the Oil Sector may not be easily met as the responsibilities assigned to the taskforce are by law the mandate of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).

This development is coming as the main committee is scheduled to hold its first meeting this week to fashion out its mode of operations to achieve the mandate spelt out for it by the petroleum Minister, Mrs Dieziani Allison-Maduekwe.

NEITI was set up by an Act of the National Assembly with a statutory responsibility to track revenue inflows in the oil and mineral sectors with a view to enforcing transparency and accountability in the sector, the same task that is now assigned to Ribadu committee.

While the Ribadu committee is only a ministerial committee, NEITI has a force of law with an international dimension as it was stipulated for all oil and mineral rich nations as a way of eradicating corruption from the extractive industry sector.

Investigations by Saturday Tribune showed that since the appointment of the Ribadu committee, NEITI and its inter-ministerial team have become uncomfortable as there was no reference to NEITI in the making of the Ribadu committee.

Findings within the NEITI system revealed a feeling of neglect and confusion as the Ribadu committee is expected to be doing the job of NEITI even when the ministerial committee has no force of law behind its existence.

Sources within the Petroleum Ministry however, allayed the fear of any clash as the Ribadu committee is expected to work with NEITI for it to successfully deliver on its assignment and mandate.

Meanwhile the Ribadu committee is to meet this week to consider all issues surrounding its operations as some committee members are said to have identified the NEITI issue as a critical area to watch in the committee’s operations.

PoliticsRe: Let's Have Your Complaints Here by OAM4J: 4:46pm On Mar 03, 2012
^I am tired of explaining the rules. I have said it before, that Nairaland rules as it stands has nothing against whatever you say about a public or political figures like Awolowo, Ojukwu, IBB, Bakare, Buhari, Oyedepo, GEJ, Omotola Ekehinde, Genevieve etc. So NL will not ban you for expressing your negative views about a public figure for as long as such post is not seen as derailing the topic/thread, does not contain pictures, multimedia content, or writing that is sexually explicit, does not bypass censored words and doesn't annoy the admin.

But a poster will be banned when he/she insults/curses/bullies another poster, a poster's family, or a whole ethnic group.

For example, if someone posts that Jarus/OAM4J's father/Igbo people/ is/are fool/s; such person risks a ban.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-1026.0.html

That said, the admin and the supermod will look at dayokanu's activities/posts, if he has been deliberately causing troubles, provoking or riling up other posters, and act accordingly.

^Only admin and supermod determine what topic makes it to home page. They determine if it is newsworthy or if it is a topic many people will want to discuss.

We moderators like members only recommend if we also think it is newsworthy and worth to be discussed.
