saxywale:So the whole of West Africa should be banned because of Liberia? I think banning passengers with Liberian passports is more appropriate. |
Oh My Asa! ... Producing good music for those who have ears for goooood music. The only artist I have not been able to rubbish any of her tracks....not one! I just love her. |
aljharem: When I say we, I mean people of the SW.I dont think SW as a group or any group at all beside Ekitians has a say on who becomes the Governor of Ekiti State. If the Ekitians prefer a thug and a murder suspect to a refined gentleman because of bags of rice and N2k, then it is their cup of tea. I mean even if they don't want APC, the LP Opeyemi guy is by far better than the thug they voted for IMO. I am from SW too, and if I can speak for SW and make them decide for Ekiti, I will send Fayose to prison with hard labour....but then neither you nor I can also speak for SW and SW cannot also speak for Ekiti. Get me? |
aljharem: Yes I read and silly statements like this can only come from people that have been bribed"We"? Are you also from Ekiti? Just asking ni o. |
MaziOmenuko: Next on Nairaland Fantasy Tabloid: Manager of the week, Gameweek6 review and many more ... Stay tuned....I mean how unlucky can one get? ![]() We took those por.nstars for sissies and they rap.ed us brutally... In Arnold voice... We will be back cos we are....The Brutal Bruttallion. ![]() |

Standard007: Abeg which defenders be that?Duff and Moore |
Nairalanders we still need your ideas and suggestions on how to reach out to our elders. We can work with elderly homes and elderly individuals. Thanks for your anticipated suggestions. |
barcanista: I have some concerns here @jaybee3 and The TEHN crew...Let me start by saying TeHN came to be not because some group of people just wanted to set up a charity organisation. TeHN was born out of a need for volunteers who can sacrifice their time and money to attend to a story on Nairaland about 3/4 yrs ago on a family that was living under the bridge in Lagos at a time. Many wished something can be done while other wished to help them but they dont know how. A few of us then decided to get some members who can visit this family, verify the story, report back to Nairalanders after which we raised fund to relocate and settle them. After the 1st case was carried out, we decided to put a structure and process in place to be able to handle future cases better. 1. Who are the members of TEHN executive?Presently we have: R231, OAM4J, TGIRL4REAL, MYND44, JARUS, CHAIRCOVER, JAYBEE, BIOLABEE & BINIGIRL(All Nairalanders spread all over the world. We only meet to discuss and deliberate online) 2. Are these people nominated , elected or just volunteers?many were nominated, but of course they all have to volunteer to do the job. 3. If elected/Nominated, is their election/nomination fixed for a term or "it is forever"?There is no fixed time. They remain for as long as they are still willing to volunteer their time. Some of the executive members that started TeHN have left Nairaland and some resigned. When we become short of manpower we always request for new volunteers. 4. If the excos are volunteers, is there room for people or interested nl members to join the TEHN Exco? If yes what is the process?Anyone interested in being part of the exco should simply volunteer by sending us a mail... But acceptance is always base on arising need after we are convinced that such person's character/personality on NL is not questionable. 5. It is one thing to post figures online and say So-so and so amount is Left unused or rolled over, but it is another thing for such amount to be in "existence". How do you assure people to take your word for it?Every single penny/kobo received and spent is published. We are opened to queries and verification by anyone or group. If you have any suggestion or idea on how we can be better transparent with our activities, please let us know, preferably on our main thread as we will prefer this thread to focus on the subject matter. Thank you. |
14pts on the bench from 2 defenders that cost me 4M each while my 3 expensive defenders gave me only 3pts. God dey! Thank God I didnt fall into the temptation of taking 4pts hit to replace Mata with Sterling.... Skywalker has just been made to swim in the lagoon of brutality... I mean, we have never had it so easy so be brutal with 57pts difference. Next, we need to deal with some guys who love to do po.rn more than playing ball. AirborneLacer: Seems like no Arsenal fan captained Costa. You are wrong. |
Yeah, the president didnt know anything about it... Tell me something else abeg. Shame!
|
Honestly only Wenger knows what he is doing, cos I dont. |
chimoz: Lol...Ribadu is the next governor of AdamawaIf d primary is free and fair I dont see Ribadu winining Marwa. Marwa and his supporters made it easy for Nyako to be removed. Anyhow it turns one or both of Marwa and Ribadu are bound to get Soludo's package. There are interesting days ahead. |
xynerise: First and possibly his only goal this seasonNo, rather the gate has just been flung opened! Watch out for loads of arsenally goals from my boy Alexis Sanchez! |
comos: Let internal democracy reignThere are always champions of every new course, they will fade to the background with time. If APC remains, I dont see both of Tinubu and Buhari holding prominent positions or that influential in APC in 10 years. Where are OBJ and IBB in PDP today? |
J12: The man clearly stated that he had no intention to vie for the chairmanship of the APC. Hence, I thinks it makes no sense trying to rope him for something he never claimed of getting involved in.Did we read the same text? He sure wanted to be chairman, he obtained the form (though didnt submit it, when it became obvious he was not going to win). When he found out the position was zoned to his zone, he thought all he needed was Edo governor and Edo APC members' support. forgetting that the position is still a national position. Ikimi has reasons to be bitter, what I don't know is if leaving APC is the solution especially when all his complaints are about one man - Tinubu. I am not a fan of Tinubu and I dont like an idea of one man having majority control/influence of a political party but one cannot dismiss the contributions of Tinubu, his doggedness and courage in standing firm against a one-party state since the days of OBJ. He has his flaws and they are many, but Ikimi is not a saint either. Even his write-up tells a lot about his flaws and characters. I see an egocentric and deluded person that is living in past glories from his write up. Give and take, there are no saints politics. Both Ikimi and Tinubu are no saints. |
mukina2: shataaapI know your aim is to beat my fantasy team cos only Yaya remain for your team. Forget it. It wont happen by the Power that be. He wont even get an assist. Infact i hope he gets a yellow or red card. ![]() |
This is wickedness! How can someone do this to a young girl? She should be locked-up asap. |
Your advice has been noted. Thank you. |
Thank you for your commendation. |
Noted! Thread going off-course. We will continue to ban those who break rule 10 and delete such threads. Please note that from now on, those who cheer & encourage rule breakers, and troll on such threads will equally be banned. Only report posts/threads that are against the rules or call moderators attention to it. Don't quote those offensive posts or post on offensive threads. Thanks. |
The question is; beyond deleting these threads soon as they are spotted and giving their posters long bans, what more can the management do? Nairaland does not know posters beyond their emails and monikers on the site, and members are solely responsible for whatever they post. It is not that Seun or moderators gave those pictures to members to post, neither is the management condoning or encouraging this action in any way. Admin opened a thread asking for suggestions but majority of the posters were just trolling on the thread. Give the management suggestions of what more you think can be done and we will look into them. Thanks. |
"This is why we get brutal" - Professor Killer The manager of Brutallion F.C; Proffessor Ikupawon Killer stormed angrily at Pariolodo B.C reporter when asked if he has a new recovery strategy following his poor start of the season. "This why we get brutal and people start complaining that we show no mercy and take no prisoner...when you ask me questions like this", he said. "Yes I have a strategy and it is a simple one; recruit new dangerous players and send all opponents that come our ways to sudden death like we did to Ipukulu Marines or give them an unrecoverable defeat like we gave to AvantGarde last season. We barely managed to defeat The Godfathers last weekend, thanks to late strike from Fikusewa Costa and Apayan Fabregas". He further stated that he has been generously given 4 weeks by the club owner Rtd. General Fikusire to get back to the top or face a firing squad. "No! no! no! I really cannot afford that, cos I love this game too much", he said. When asked about his next F.A encounter with Librans F.C he said; "Libran F.C is an average team with no serious ambition, they have not changed their manager despite their average performance for years. Notwithstanding, we are not taking anything for granted because we cannot afford a defeat from them, their manager can afford a defeat with no consequence, but I cant. As much as I love to be gentle with teams managed by ladies, and Reema is a fine lady, we are still Brutallion" |
