After series of concept cars, the Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4, named in honour of Pierre Veyron, a Bugatti development engineer, test driver and company race driver , was finally unveiled. The "EB" refers to Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti and the "16.4" refers to the engine's  16 cylinders and 4 turbochargers.

is the roadster version of the veyron 16.4. The name “Grand Sport” recalls two of the most beautiful models in the bugatti brand’s history: The type 40 and type 43 from the late 20s and early 30s, which were the first models to be given the moniker “Grand Sport” by Ettore and Jean Bugatti.

This is the final Bugatti Veyron,the 150th Veyron roadsters and the 450th Veyron.It was displayed (owner was kind enough) alongside the first-ever production Veyron from 2005,at the Geneva Motor Show.

The DIVO is a monumental driving machine with heart-stopping acceleration and greater downforce.The Hypercar is made to excite and built for corners.

Only forty will be made and it is sold out even before being unveiled .

First unveiled five months ago during the U.N General Assembly in New York City ,the all-new Cadillac-based limousines are part of a fleet of 12 that will be built for Trump at a cost around $16 million - that's about $1.3m or roughly ₦469m per Beast Limo .

From outside, the new Limo looks more attractive and luxurious than the previous model that went into service in 2009 during Obama’s inauguration. It now features a better road clearance to avoid another embarrassing obstacle like "The Old Version did" when it got stuck on a ramp during former President Barack Obama's visit to Dublin in 2011.

The new limo also shares the same headlights with Cadillac Escalade SUV, and the new grille appears to be borrowed from the 2016 Cadillac Escala concept.

Another kind of water barrier on earth is seen at bays and deltas where the fresh water rivers flow into the seas. Rivers that have the utmost possibility of mixing into one another because of their surface and bottom currents never mix up with salty water in places where they fall into seas. If Allah did not put the law of not mixing up between these two waters, the fresh water rivers on earth would mix up with the salty sea water and the living creatures in them and in their environments would be annihilated all together.

The Qur'an attracts attention to the miracle of this not mixing of these fresh and salty waters in another verse as follows:

Yes, the fact that the seas do not mix up with each other and the fresh water rivers do not mix up with salty waters shows the infinite power of Allah; its being expressed 1400 years ago in the Qur'an proves that the Qur'an is the word of Allah. For, it is impossible to base this information on a man's personal discovery who lived at that age; it is also impossible to base it on all people's discovery who lived at that age. It is impossible for a man to discover and write a truth that science has discovered only in this age on his own fourteen centuries ago.

The expression of the verse has a mind-blowing style. For, the verse informs us that the seas do not mingle with one another despite all storms and huge waves.

Yes, science confirms the verses of the Qur'an as it always has been and proves that it is the word of Allah. It is as follows:

The French marine scientist Captain Jacques Cousteau, who is famous for underwater research, explains the results of his investigations about water barriers as follows:

"We were investigating of some researcher's judgments that put forth that there were some barriers that separated different masses of the seas from each other. As a result of various studies, we saw that the Mediterranean Sea has a peculiar natural level of salinity and density. At the same time, it has specific life forms.

Then, we analyzed the mass of water in the Atlantic Ocean and saw that it was completely different than the Mediterranean Sea. However, these two seas, which merge at the strait of Gibraltar, were supposed to be equal or at least near to equal in terms of salinity, density and life forms that they had. However, these two seas have different structures even in places where they converge closely.

Upon our investigations, we came across with an event that amazed us. or, there was a great water curtain at the merging point that did not allow these two seas to mix up. The same kind water barrier was founded by German scientists at Bab al-Mandab, where waters of Gulf of Aden and Red sea converge in 1962. In our later investigations, we witnessed the existence of the same kind of barrier in all merging points of seas that have different characteristics."

This amazing fact, which amazed Captain Cousteau, about the waters that do not mix up though seas converge is explained with the following verse in the Qur'an fourteen centuries ago: "He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together. Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress." (Surah ar-Rahman 19-20)

Closely behind these supercars on total search numbers are the McLaren 675LT, Ford GT,Ferrari 458 and Nissan 370Z.

The L5 ,the retro styled luxury car from the oldest automaker in China, Hongqi -which literally means “red flag”, is the most expensive Chinese-made car ever .

The luxury car "dubbed as the Rolls Royce of China" is part of the Hongqi L-Series. The Hongqi L9 parade car debuted in 2009.This was followed by the Hongqi L7 in 2012 and finally by the Hongqi L5 in 2013.

Just like the Rolls-Royce and Toyota's Century Limo, the Chinese-only Hongqi L5 is aimed at billionaire businessmen and super stars who want to show off their being-Chinese credentials. It is also the official state car of  China's Paramount leader, Xi Jinping.

It comes in three versions, one for members of the government, one for parades and the civilian model. All measure 5.5 meters long, 2 meters wide, 1.5 meters high and with a wheelbase of 3.4 meters.

To put that into perspective,the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is 5.2 meters long .The L5 non-armoured version's weight of 3150 kilo compared with Mercedes' 2390 kilo .

And the engine that moves this monster is a 6.0 liter V12, producing around 402-horsepower . Gearbox is a six-speed automatic sending power to all four wheels. It can travel more than 500 miles on a single 105 liter tank of fuel .Hongqi didn't specify the top speed and acceleration.

The Hongqi L5 can compete with cars like the Russian Aurus Senat and the Rolls-Royce Phantom in the marketplace. But in reality, this unique and ultra rare China-only Limo doesn’t really compete with anything.

The L5 would set you back about £ 850,000 (roughly ₦402m Naira), or as much as a hypercar. Of course, you'd never be allowed to buy one in the first place,just like the Toyota's Japan-only Century Limo.

A Chinese girl was captured bowing to a car driver who stopped to let her cross the road in Chaozhou, China.

Even though that spot was a pedestrian crossing (Zebra Crossing) and all cars are expected to stop when pedestrians are trying to use it, most drivers don't stop pedestrians to cross .

Again,you can't really blame the little kid because China has one of the highest cases of death and injuries from hit-and-run crashes at the pedestrian crossing.

According to JATO Dynamics, a total of 86.01 million cars were sold across the world’s 54 top markets in 2018 compared to 86.43 million that were sold a year before, as global sales fell by 0.5 percent.

2018 marked a record year for the sale of battery-powered electric vehicles with the passenger electric cars recording a total of 1.26 million sales, up by a huge 74%.

This was due to increase in Chinese demand for EVs as well as increase in the sales of Tesla Model 3. The luxury all-electric four-door sedan, which starts at $35k,also became America’s best-selling premium car as well as the World's best selling EV in 2018.

A record 29.77 million SUVs, representing 36.4 percent of the entire market ,were sold in 2018. The SUV segment accounted for most of the total sales last year.

The Ford F-Series pickups maintained its position as the world’s best-selling vehicle, as it was the only vehicle to register more than 1 million sales in 2018. Hear the gun shots

A young US rapper was fatally shot 25 times by police in northern California earlier this month after he fell asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz in the drive-thru at Taco Bell.

The family lawyer, who is a former police officer, said on Wednesday that six police officers shot Willie McCoy -- who used the stage name Willie Bo -- in the face, throat, chest, right ear, arms and shoulders on February 6 in the town of Vallejo.

"This was overkill"

"There is no evidence to justify that level of force and no possible reason why you would need to shoot anybody that many times.

"It's almost like they were doing target practice,"

when she examined McCoy's body at the mortuary.

She said McCoy, 20, had been recording at a family member's home when he decided to go to a Taco Bell restaurant late in the evening.

Vallejo Police Department said in a statement that employees called them to report a Mercedes-Benz parked in the drive-thru line with the engine running and a man slumped over the steering wheel.

Officers said they noticed a gun in the car and as they were assessing the situation, McCoy woke up and reached for the firearm, ignoring orders to "put his hands up."

"Fearing for their safety, six officers fired their duty weapons"

Authorities said the gun retrieved from the car was fully loaded and had been reported stolen in Oregon.

The lawyer described the response as "the kind of force you use in a shootout."

She said that the officers could have taken a position of cover behind their own cars and used a siren or a bullhorn to awaken McCoy.

"If he was supposed to be armed, why would you stand in front of him?"

The killing follows numerous scandals involving alleged police brutality against black residents in Vallejo, about 30 miles north-east of San Francisco

When Vladimir Putin shows off his new Russian-made "Bunker on Wheels" Limo to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince 9 months ago,the reaction of the Wealthy Crown Prince shows how spectacular and luxurious the Armoured car was.

There is a rumour making rounds that French automaker,Bugatti ,will unveil a one-off Chiron-based Hypercar at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March, 2019.

This specially built car is said to belong to none other than Dr. Ferdinand Piech, the grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and former chairman of the Volkswagen Group.

And the price he paid for this mystery car? A whopping $18m dollars, that's roughly ₦6.5b in Naira,enough to buy 783 brand new Toyota Camrys. To put the price into perspective, the Chiron has a base price of $3m while the limited-run  Bugatti Divo starts at $5.8m

If the French automaker truly unveil this custom Bugatti Hypercar , then it will become the most expensive new car ever,dethroning the bespoke one-off $13 million Sweptail that Rolls-Royce specially built for an unnamed customer back in 2017.

Since the one-off Hypercar is said to be Chiron-based like the Limited Edition Divo , it will likely use a tweaked version of the 8.0-liter W16 engine to provide more power and probably sports an entirely new design from the current line of Bugatti Hypercars.

Two weeks ago, the Volkswagen-owned automaker unveiled a limited edition of French-themed Bugatti Chiron Sports-based Hypercar to mark its 110th anniversary.

Only the current owners of Bugatti Chiron were eligible to buy the Divo. Even at $5.8m (₦2.1b Naira)- almost the price of 2 Bugatti Chirons , all 40 Hypercars were sold out even before launch.

In terms of looks and price, the Chiron and the Divo has nothing in common...The more aggressive looking Divo starts at $5.8 million while the Chiron and Chiron Sports, despite using the same engine, starts at around $3 million and $3.26 million respectively .

The "King of corners" Divo is about 77 pounds lighter and specially designed to bend corners while the Chiron is made for straight-lines.

Engine
Both Hypercars are powered by the same quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine that produces the same 1,500 horsepower. They will move from 0 to 62mph in just 2.4 seconds

The Divo is 8 seconds faster around the Nardo circuit and has a top speed that is limited to 236mph.

The Chiron is has a top speed of 261mph.

A retired 150-tonne Boeing 747-400, once flown commercially for 30 good years by Dutch airline KLM and known formerly as the "City of Bangkok" , has been transported by road to its new home, the courtyard of the Corendon Village Hotel.

About 9,000 people applied for the 6,000 tickets to watch the aircraft's 12.5 km (eight miles) and five-day journey from the airport to the Hotel .

The new owners acquired the aircraft after making its last commercial flight from Los Angeles to Amsterdam in November 2018. It was later flown to Rome and repainted to its new owners red and white livery.

After returning back to the Netherlands, all reusable materials were removed by aircraft recycling company AELS. The aircraft finally left the Schiphol Airport for its new home on a self-propelled multi wheeled mammoet transporter, where it crossed 17 ditches and the A9 motorway before coming to rest in the garden of Corendon Village Hotel.

Several prototypes of the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan has been spotted cruising around all-terrains ahead of its 2020 official unveiling.

But what catches the attention this time inside the Mercedes’ flagship is the wide centre infotainment touchscreen that is slightly tilted towards the driver.This massive screen resembles the layout used by Tesla in its all-electric cars.

Last year, Mercedes-Benz said all its upcoming vehicles , including the Mercedes S-Class flagship ,will be available in mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid and a 48-volt electrical system in order to reduce the usage of fuel.

The German automaker also said the upcoming S-Class will have hands-free Level 3 autonomous tech that will rival the Level 2 tech that is offered in Tesla’s autopilot .

Prices before shipping
Prices range from ₦18.3m ($50,595) for the base Evoque SE to ₦27.1m ($74,995) for the R-Dynamic HSE . The new range-topping Autobiography Dynamic Edition starts at ₦40.2m ($111,347).
