Valeo has revealed its XtraVue "Invisible" Trailer tech system that allows truck drivers to see what is happening on the road behind their Trailer ,Tankers or Containers .

Unveiled at CES 2019 in Las Vegas,the amazing driving assistance system works by combining images from video cameras at the rear bumpers of both the towing vehicle and the trailer or Containers ,which is then fed to a display screen in front of the driver.

Four teenage boys, between the ages of 14 and 16, broke into a Houston Texas CarMax dealership last Sunday night and caused a total of ₦292m ($800,000) in damages to about 20 cars.

After braking into the dealership late in the night , they stole the keys and started smashing the cars into other unsold vehicles that includes ₦47m Porsche sports coupe, a ₦23m Dodge Challenger and a ₦13m Ford Mustang.

A Texan Police who was called to the scene said:

Hundreds of passengers narrowly escaped death in the early hours of this morning after an Apapa-bound passenger train derailed at the Ashade railway crossing on the Agege-Ikeja corridor in Lagos.

The train was coming from Ijoko area of Ogun State and heading to Apapa in Lagos when three of its coaches skidded and derailed at the Agege-Ikeja area of Lagos State .

No life was lost in the accident, according to the Acting Lagos District Manager of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), who told NAN that:

“The derailment happened when the Apapa-bound mass transit train skidded off its tracks at the Asade Railway Crossing at Agege, on the Ikeja Corridor.

“The shuttle train was going from Ijoko in Ogun, to Apapa.

“The situation is now under control. We learnt that there was no casualty in the incident as some of the passengers only had minor injuries.

“Everything is now under control and we are trying to put the train back on the tracks"

Most train derailments are caused by broken rails,defective wheels and Improper operation of control systems.

The mini-CLS looking sedan also comes in two versions : the front-wheel-drive CLA 250 and all-wheel-drive CLA 250 4Matic. Chinese automaker,Byton ,has revealed the upgraded interior of its M-Byte all-electric SUV at the Consumer Electronics Show ( CES) 2019 in Las Vegas.

The electric car ,unveiled a year ago at the CES, spots five display screens that includes a massive 49-inch interactive screen within the windscreen (the largest ever on a production car), a 7-inch touchscreen on the steering wheel (the first ever), one between the front seats ,while the last two is designed for the rear-seat occupants.

Just when you think you have seen it all ,a lady drove an all-electric Tesla Model S into a filling station and attempted to stick a fuel pump nozzle into the vehicle’s charge port.

After several attempts in trying to figure out how to refuel it,one of the guys inside the car behind her, who actually filmed the whole episode, walked up to her and explained to her that her battery-powered car needs an electric charge from an EV charging station and not petrol/diesel .

Meet the 32 year old Bangladeshi-British businessman, Kazi Shafiqur Rahman, who is set to launch Britain's first "Sharia compliant" Firnas Airways in 2019.

And the Sharia compliance airline means once onboard, only Islamic "Halal" meals and non-alcoholic drinks will be served,and modest and non-provocative dress for his female staffs.

Mr Rahman,who calls himself the "Halal Richard Branson", is leasing a 19-seater Jetstream 32 airplane for a start.He named his airline after Abbas Ibn Firnas, a Spanish Muslim inventor , who was the first man to fly and live to tell the tale in 875AD.  

The London-based businessman used to work cleaning plane toilets before going into perfume business. His airline is now few months away from flying short haul routes between UK cities .He believes it could take two or three years before his dream of long haul to places like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh is achieved.

European car safety organisation Euro NCAP has revealed its annual "Best in Class" winners after testing and crashing more than two dozens of cars into poles and walls to know how safe they are during collisions.

All the cars tested were scored over 5 based on how they fared in four areas of assessment such as the Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Pedestrian and Safety Assist .

The three cars that scored highest within their segments in 2018 are the Mercedes-Benz A-Class in the Small Family Cars category, the Smart Lexus ES in the Large Family Car category and the Hyundai Nexo in the Large Off-Roaders category.

The SUV starts at ₦26m and deliveries is expected in late 2021.

10) ₦235m Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

The Volkswagen-owned 770 hp V12 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ became the fastest production car ever around the Nurburgring-Nordschleife even before it was launched.

The ₦235m sportscar has a top speed of 217mph and will reach 62mph from standstill in 2.8 seconds.

Ever wondered why South American Country Cuba has the largest numbers of classic cars in the world?

The reason is this:
After the Cuban Revolution in 1959, Fidel Castro ,the then-President of Cuba, banned the importation of US-made cars and their mechanical parts .

Till today, over 60,000 pre-1959 cars, which were part of the over 125,000 wealthy Americans abandoned cars , still ply the streets of Cuba.

Since the Cubans weren't permitted to buy cars,they were forced to devise special parts to maintain these classic cars for more than 50 years .Most of them still retain their original parts while others have been modified with parts from a different brands ,like a Peugeot diesel engine in a 1956 Cadillac.

Russian-made boxy Ladas, Chinese Geelys, Citroens and Nissans are some of the other brands found on Cuban roads.

Right now, Fidel’s brother and former President , Raul Castro,has abolished the need for permission to buy a foreign-made cars - Which means they are now free to buy new or used vehicles ,if they can afford it.

The largest producer of electric cars in China,Beijing Electric Vehicle (BJEV) ,don't want us to wait for hours to charge the depleted batteries of our all-electric cars.

The automaker now has an all-electric model that charges by swapping out the old batteries for a new charged one.

The video above shows how the all-electric model BAIC EU300 drives into Battery-swap Station to change the dead battery to a new one .

The whole process is automatic and takes less than three minutes . And that's less than the time it takes a petrol or diesel powered cars to fill its tank at a filling station.

4) In 1994, six Dominators SUV with different colors were specially built for Sultan of Brunei (the former world's richest man ,who also boasts of over hundreds of Rolls Royces cars) at cost ₦1.4b ( £3m) per car .The 4-wheel drive luxury Sport Utility Vehicle was built on a Range Rover  chassis.

5) The Bentley Bentayga is Bentley's first mass-production SUV. The all-wheel drive, 5-door ultra-luxury SUV  starts at ₦71m ($195k), if you love to get one for yourself .
It is powered by a 600 horsepower W12 engine,has a top speed of 187 mph and will move from standstill to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds .

6) The Bentley's flying "B" ornaments was first used on 6½ Litre Bentleys in the late 1920’s.The modern types are designed to enter the bonnet in the event of an accident. The letter “B” stands for Bentley while the silver wings around it signifies speed.

7) The armored Bentley State Limousine is the official statecar created by Bentley for Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee in 2002.

She has two of it that are valued at ₦4.6billion ( 10m GBP) each. They are powered by a Rolls-Royce – Bentley twin-turbocharged, 6.75-litre V8 engine .

9) It takes around 110 hours to build a Continental GT, 130 to build a Continental Flying Spur sedan, 130 to build a Bentayga and around 400 to build a Mulsanne from start to finish

10) On average, 26 Continentals and Continental Flying Spurs, 5 Mulsannes and 31 Bentaygas are built in a day.

11) It takes 30 engineers about 13 and a half hours to build one W12 engine and about 136 hours or over 5 days to complete the interior trim on a Mulsanne.
