The Lagos state government is also guilty here, they arranged the meeting with the Oba and might have provided the 15million compensation.

yes they are wrong, no amount of cry or wailing will bring him back. let's assume he didn't keep bad company will he end this way know. that is y we have to check the types and kind of friends we keep for our own good. because sss cannot just come to ur house if u don't have business with them.
What's your definition of bad company.

So if your brother who committed a crime comes to your house, you are automatically a criminal, when you don't know what happened.

While to so called criminal is on the run, the DSS will start killing everyone associated to him even when they don't know what he did.

it has not gotten to calling of names, like what I said earlier what the security agency did was very wrong. let's face the fact, a criminal is a criminal, either fraudster, armed robber or what ever u call them. we were not there so one cannot verify if truly they scale through the fence or not
My friend,

Who the dead man found guilty of any crime? Nobody.
Why can't the DSS charge the man to court.
Why did they blackmail the family with money and Oba.

When did the DSS become Judge and Jury of their case.

At is stands the dead man is not a criminal, and the DSS is totally wrong here.

Is it that someone is dumping the stock or it's that someone is mopping them up? Is it possible to tell the difference by looking at the trade volumes alone? I know that the Bank was rated well along side GTB, Zenith and UBA though in the last Fitch ratings - if I remember correctly.
When that Fitch rating came out , I exepected WEMA stock to start moving Northward, but I was shocked when the dumping started

He should have allowed CBN Gov And Min of Finance reply Sanusi.

Sanusi knows better than Shehu when it come to Banking and Financ.
It's not everything you rush to reply.

On this, I totally agree with you. We must hold our leaders accountable.
The progress of the Yoruba nation is paramount.
That should be the big picture, irrespective of political parties.

You cannot say that Tinubu did not build schools, healthcare and estates in Lagos during his tenure as Governor and neither can you say that about his successors.
Now you singled out Tinubu. In your intitial post you mentioned Awolowo. Did Awolowo not build school too?
If Tinubu is not the leader, who then is?
There is nothing like none apolitical Yoruba leader. A leader must be able to influence and if that influence includes help in choosing political leader, that is what must happen.
What you are proposing is Igbo style of leadership and as Yorubas that is now who we are. We have been known to have leaders even before the white man shows up. The white man also have leadership too in their tradition and that is how they built empires.
A city cannot be without a leader. Nature abhors vacuum.
Today, Tinubu is not an elected or appointed political leader in the SW.
I singled Tinubu out because everything about him is politics of power and money. Nothing else.

Ironically, education in the SW has dwindled, Gov Ajimobi even threatened to stop WAEC fees since the failure rate if too high.

Educational impact is not about building schools, you can't compare AWOs education impact in the SW.

Take a look at Lagos, Jakande low cost housing estates are still everywhere.

The SW should start holding their elected leaders accountable.

Tinubu influence is due to respect, Ambode can choose to ignore him and nothing will happen.

deji15:
None of the past or present Yoruba political leaders is good enough, are you advocating that the Yorubas should be without one? More like Igbo style? How has that helped the Igbos?
Who has SW interest among the current crop of leaders / followers? You? Do you have SW interest at heart? What have you proposed?
Can a place function without a leader?
Is there anything wrong in regional cooperation and having a leader to provide some direction?
That is not the Yorubas. Unlike the Igbos, we have leaders even before the white man shows up at our shore.
Can you point out social impact (education, health and housing) the SW gained from Tinubu. Nothing

All Tinubu got was the money he made from Lagos and that's why he could dictate who becomes Governor and Senator in Lagos and also influence other states.

Let be clear, Tinubu is not the leader of the SW, and most people from NADECO don't respect him.
We know why Gani don't always drag him to court.

The SW integration and development should be apolitical.

Enough of selfish godfathers.

No one said he was, but no dispute on his rare heroism and macchaivelian achievements.
cult of personality is the main problem of Yoruba Nation and that's why we have always been disappointed.

We had Awo, Jakande, MKO and now Tinubu.

All of them got their personal agendas and that's why they ended up being betrayed.

We must stop following the likes of Tinubu and co, they got no plans for the SW.

Oga, ask LOCO, we have heard this same new some months ago and nothing changed.

what's the quantity of oil we are exporting, Focados and most export lines are down, PMB is planning to start importing from Niger Republic.

How do we benefit if we're not shipping enough crude

I respectfully disagree with you. What was the reason why CBN agreed to manage float naira in the first place? Because foreign investors wanted it. What happened afterwards, investors shifted the goal post by saying the currency market is not flexible enough, hence the reason why they cannot bring in their currency. If CBN decides to fully float naira today, these investors will still not invest and will only engage in speculation of naira. They will find other ratinale to justify their position. Most investors will not commit their capital because Nigeria is still grappling with high trade imbalance, high inflation rate and other critical macro challenges. Fix these macro problems without devaluing your currency and see how foreign investors storm our economy in droves.
So true
Investors got lots of confidence in other African countries than Nigeria.

No amount of Naira floating or Crude price increases will make them rush to Nigeria.

Mobile just sold 60% to Nipco, most oil coys are leaving. Even domestic investors leaving.

The economy is not stupid but the people running the economy are stupid.

As long as we this poeple in government, investors will stay away.

Nigeria remains unattractive for now.

I think December will be good for NSE and that rally will extend to Oil stock on NSE but full flexible exchange rate policy will emerge by early next year.
This oil won't benefit Nigeria!!!
Remember Nigeria is not pumping enough oil due to the Niger-delta crisis.

If we're doing 2million barrels par day @$40, we will be ok our way our of this economic crisis.
