If you did not get a refusal mail from UK visa decisions then be expecting to see a visa in your passport.

I’m on the same visa as your son and my parents are separated as well. I had my visa in 2021 and on the route to get settled status and I can confirm for you that your son need to prove dependency on his dad on some of his applications like for schools, student finance loans and even to apply for settled status he is required to prove the relationship with the dad exist and still on going.
To do this they need to be in the same address, bank transfer from dad to son, prove that dad pays the utility bills in the address your son lives in and bank statement in his dad’s address that is address to him (your son)

Hi I think this is for EUSS family permit dependent child under 21.
A DNA test is required for this and any document like WAEC certificate that carries the child’s date of birth then add the NPC to it with a cover letter explaining that a birth certificate was not issued at the time of birth.
