The MDAs know, they can't get away with d kind of cooked up sh*t, they got away with.
Is not just today, that d Vice-Chancellor of Micheal Opara University of agriculture was queried So in your wierd reasoning, in this new era of anti-corruption, the best solution is not to publish any reports on your activities for the past 2 years as a government agency? So Oga is this a step forward or backward when transparency and accountability are being sent to their untimely graves in this administration? Where then is the corruption being fought if these agencies are receiving monies and not accounting for it and nothing is being done to sanction erring bodies? Few days ago a report was released also showing how government agencies in this regime are paying absolute disregard to remittance of taxes to IRS. Does this mean that the body language is no longer working? |

obailala: With your command of English, I'm sure you must be well educated. But you obviously have either refused to read, or some flimsy political sentiments is blocking your comprehension abilities.
An official application was made and the NAF went out of its way to grant it same day. And then suddenly, there's a need to change the aircraft; whatever stops the persons involved from making another quick application?..... You keep talking about expedited approval to replace a plane, in your own wisdom, how can an approval (expedited or not) be given when no application was made?....
Is this you just trying to be an annoying online troll by deliberately feigning ignorance and making meaningless arguments or could it just genuinely be that you didnt bother reading the report before proceeding to drop comments and arguments?
Below is an extract from the report... it says up till now, no application has been made but you choose to BLAME the NAF (and by extension, govt) for not giving automatic approval?
...and by the way, please stop repeating and repeating that line about "a plane wanting to make an emergency landing." That statement has been responded to about a 100 times but you keep repeating it and proving to the world that you're simply one of those Nigerians who don't bother reading before proceeding to comment on issues. In fact, I'm done! You have a point there..... Why are we killing ourselves over an issue that events have overtaken? But back to the matter at hand, Mr Lecturer it's wrong to form an opinion solely on the NAF's response. If you had read the original report, you would have been aware that applications were made for over 5 hours for the use of the replacement aircraft so it begs the question why in 5hours a written request could not have been instituted by the airline operators who I'm sure are not political in any way and would have desired to make the flight to get paid and as such would have done their best to comply with whatever was required of them in those circumstances. So there again bro, ejoor park well |

obailala: Without going back to check, I'm very sure a couple of people on this thread (including myself) have responded to you about how concessions can be made only during air emergencies; even a presidential jet would officially seek permission before landing on any airport.
But for you to still make this meaningless comment again and again all for the sake of pointless arguments, it already speaks volumes of the kind of person you are. I'm thankful that least even you could recognise the fact that regardless of the accepted standard worldwide, concessions can be made on exceptional grounds. If a concession could be given the first time why not a second time over a clearly unavoidable issue? Get your head out your ass bro. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Airforce Speaks On Refusal To Allow An Aircraft Land At Its Makurdi Base by obi58: 7:37pm On Jul 17, 2018 |
obailala: You don't read right?
All over the aviation world, approval/permission must be sought before a plane is allowed to land on any airport. In this case, the application to land has to be made 48 hours in advance. First of all, the application for landing clearance here was even made on the same day, but a concession was given and the approval granted.
But now, you are given approval to land 'Plane A' but you for whatever reason now want to land 'Plane B', and you do not think it is necessary to seek official approval first before changing the aircraft?... Does that make any sense to you?... Or is this just a case of another Nigerian who has no regard for simple rules? Is this so hard to comprehend? If approved plane had engine problems why should it be impossible to secure an expedited approval for its replacement? Or are the approving authorities on another planet? What if a plane required emergency landing approval? Would that also have required your statutory 48 hours? Get your head out your ass bro. Rules are made for man and not the other way around. No one is disputing the fact that they are laid down procedures but those procedures can be laid down in mitigating circumstances. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Airforce Speaks On Refusal To Allow An Aircraft Land At Its Makurdi Base by obi58: 7:10pm On Jul 17, 2018 |
obailala: There's just this inordinate but ridiculous obsession with politicizing everything in Nigeria. All over the world, there are rules and procedures which have to be followed in doing things. Quite often, such rules or protocols could be broken for VIPs such as the presidents or in emergency situations (I truly thought this should have been common sense knowledge).
In this case, a concession had already even been made as the application which should have been made 48 hours ahead was made same day and actually honoured. But now the argument is, "why shouldn't the procedure be broken completely?.. it is political!"
Nigerians can be amusing at times. You are the one being inordinately ridiculous. Is this rocket science? You gave plane A clearance to land at 1pm but developed engine trouble which is to be replaced by plane B. Why should that take 48hrs? |

kunmiiii: Look, both parties are nothing to write home about, they are both monumentally corrupt and anybody alleging that corruption is the exclusive right of PDP is just plain naive, which i'm certainly not...I'm just being rational becos we all know how this story and "tribunal" will end. So why bother and plunder the little scarce resources he has left heading to the tribunal as if he's a saint. Its the height of hypocrisy and an hypocritical act to gain sympathy like his mentor taught him, but sympathy from who?? from the usual gullible masses. *Smh*LongSigh* You can see how we are gradually descending into a fascist state?
I don't have an issue with 2 parties campaigning for the vote of the people. I don't even have an issue with heavy security presence to prevent election irregularities.
But when we start using Federal might brazenly on all levels to deliver the election to a preferred candidate then we set a template for disaster and when people even begin to feel hopeless going to the tribunal with documented evidence of rigging due to the condemned feeling that there is no hope of Justice, then pray do tell, what hope do we have of free and fair elections being conducted in 2019? |

You see how shortsighted people are? APC campaigned and won on the mantra of Change but today have taken election rigging to a whole new dimension. Buhari will meet his Waterloo in time to come if he think he can force the Fulani race into the lives of every state in Nigeria. Begs the thought why there is need for military patrols to silence protests if truly the election is reflective of the wishes of the Ekiti people.
Why then is there this public show of force a la Operation Python Dance?

kode12: Yeah. I didn't think about it at first, had to replace alot of inverters before realizing I better pass my neighbor generator is just around 1kva, so it'd definitely have issues. Problem is, this isn't personal, it's for a project and I can't control the kind of Gen available, most of the gen are I better pass my neighbor and I can't change it. That's why I'm looking for a lesser power inverter that won't strain the Gen, but killing the batteries cos of under voltage, is another issue now. Bros let them get a bigger gen minimum of 2900 to save you further time and money wasted in sourcing for a solution that will provide more problems than solutions. |
Technology Market › Re: Inverter Needed That Can Charge With I Better Pass My Neighbor by obi58: 9:43am On Jul 15, 2018 |
kode12: Loool. Are you saying it's impossible? I'm currently using a 1.5kva inverter, but it keeps causing problems for the small Gen, obviously because the gen output power is usually about 900-1.2kva. So I need an inverter than can run on that small Gen conveniently but still charge the battery fast. PS: It's not for personal purposes, it's for a large project. Brother na why e dey give your generator problems. What's more using that gen to charge your batteries is killing them because it's charging them at a much lower voltage. |

kode12: I'm in need of an inverter that has a rating between 500-1kva that can work conveniently with I better pass my neighbor generator. It is very important that the small Gen is capable of carrying the inverter and should be able to charge a 100ah or 200ah battery to full capacity within a short time. Inverter should be able to withstand the usual power spikes of the small Gen without any issues. If you know of any brand as such please comment. Inverter that can be charged by ibetterpassmyneighbour to full capacity within a short time? Dream on. |
