We are tired of irrelevant old tales about vanquished biafra! Japan and Germany went through utter destruction and devastation but came back to be numbers 3 and 4 economic powers in the world today. In the big scheme of things in Nigeria, SE is about the 4th zone, which is less than average!

The problem is that if Igbos remain in Nigeria, they will out-compete the Yoruba's in all areas of human development and economic sphere, AND if they leave and form their own nation, they will build the most advanced African nation and make Nigeria insignificant in world affairs. This is one of the major reason why Yoruba's are finding it hard to decide if they want Igbos to go or stay. The other reason is a fear of Hausa-Fulani domination of their land if Igbos leave.

They are trapped in this dilemma and I understand their struggle.

Former easter region is a creation of the British. There is no difference between former easter region and Nigeria. The nationalities were not consulted before it was created. Removing mainland igbo will ensure no tribe can dominate absolutely. Yes Ijaw may become the majority tribe but wont have up to 35% of the total population while at the same time contributing much to the republic of Niger delta. So absolute domination wont be possible by any tribe.

If south south Join Biafra, that country will be far worse than Nigeria. That will be a country where Igbo alone will be 60% of the population. Igbo will not need any vote from any other tribe to have thier way in that country while at the same time contributing the least resources.

the nationalities in south south are not sub nationalities of Igbo. They are independent nationalities who does not need Igbo.

The ijaws were divided in their support for Biafra. Some of them supported it, some were unsure of what to think of it, while a good number betrayed it.

But to address you main point. If a minority group joins Biafra because they just want a way to leave Nigeria, what is the problem with that?

Remember the Biafran constitution will have a secession clause for non-Igbo minorities that join. If they want to later go and form their own country in the future, there is no problem with that, we Biafrans should support them 100%. If we don't, then we are no better than Nigeria.

Finally, Biafra will have full regional autonomy and resource control. Every region will govern itself like a small country so what the point of leaving?

Here's what will likely happen:
Mainly Igbo parts will succeed in obtaining secession, but ALL non-Igbo parts of eastern region will gate crash into Biafra at the veeery last minute.
Staying back in Nigeria after Igbo have left will be pure HELL for non-Igbo easterners.

There are many of them there, but most of them are undecided, and their voices are lost in the cacophony of noise emerging from the nay Sayers, Some of them just need a little more conviction, a ray of truth, and they come around.

A hostile nation(because that is what they would be to Biafra) are more than capable of seizing Biafran properties if they want to.

As for war,Biafra will not have settled to govern themselves and raise money to run govt and provide highly needed infrastructure it is war that they prosecute

it would soon start, mine and my team is much more feasible than Biafra, One day u and your kids would beat your chest with pride to say u are igbos, one day igbo land would pay Bursary to every Igbo student regardless of geopolitical zone, one day if they give u that Nysc form and u dont put a state in igbo land then know u just want to plainly suffer, one day Igbo's would rule Africa these are my dreams and I would actualize it.
