PhysicsQED: If this was directed at me, my point is that, no you haven't addressed anything. You haven't explained the scenario you keep imagining and you haven't even explained why a person from a group with huge influence in determining the course of events in a country would say something like "it was those people from the village of Sasaro. That village caused my group's downfall!"Well if you don't know why Fani Kayode replied the North nor why Middle belt youths are crying being used in the war nor why Asari Dokubo addressed the North, then you are not being sincere. It must not be a replica scenario that will enrage you to tell the North, "hey, hold it there!" Again, like I told you, no group is inconsequential in a war especially when their position will open up a new front. Anyway, leave the Midwest for now let me fully digest why Ojukwu said that "Awolowo was the best President Nigeria never had". ![]() |
That's the problem with you guys. we are tracing the root cause, aren't we?
Do you want me to admit twice that Zik fu<ked up while you have no remorse at the reason why Awolowo made a 360 degree turn? |
@ Physics I have addressed your concern. See below: Obiagu1: No group is inconsequential when it comes to war. The smallest of them could pose so much problem than you could imagine. The distraction alone could cause you nightmares when they start poking their fingers in your backside. Obiagu1: However, it may come in different forms, take cues from the Ijaw scenario or Alhaji Usman Faruk scenario or Middle belt scenario or a different format all together. |
^^^ Your diversionary tactics will not work. You asked something which I said Igbos have always acknowledged yet you went ahead to write a prose in an attempt to make it a Zik's topic while dodging the admittance of this very serious issue raised by Fani Kayode. Good job bro, ![]() |
^^^ No group is inconsequential when it comes to war. The smallest of them could pose so much problem than you could imagine. The distraction alone could cause you nightmares when they start poking their fingers in your backside. That notwithstanding, you are still in katsimoto's mood now and will pour down history upon history to defend your side but when your sensitivity is challenged by the North like Alhaji Usman Faruk pissed off Fani Kayode, you'll get to the point of MB, SW and the Ijaw. For now, hold your breathe ![]() |
PhysicsQED: Obiagu, please give the context for the Northern attack on the Midwest that you so badly desire.A beg, I don't have fantasies or wish you hard times. However, it may come in different forms, take cues from the Ijaw scenario or Alhaji Usman Faruk scenario or Middle belt scenario or a different format all together. You'll be here giving us detailed report on how things actually took place. ![]() |
PhysicsQED: lmaoIt will come when they are attacked by the North I never knew Awolowo was promised Presidency until the SW's role in the war was diminished by the North. The now famous "Awolowo was the best President Nigeria never had" by Ojukwu is beginning to make sense. |
Ha ha ha. . .I can't fit shout!. The fools here have forgotten that Nnamdi Azikwe was the architect of modern day Nigeria, when he convince Awo and Sarduana to be part of Nigeria, after the duo went against the formation of one Nigeria . Do I expect any of them to admit that?
Igbos have always blamed Zik for his role in making Nigeria a reality so don't say we don't admit that. It's a case of you lying to yourself. Zik is never celebrated in Igboland. It's left for you to admit the truth on Awo's part like Kayode honestly admitted. |
pazienza: This keeps getting better,it's confession season,i wonder when the mid west non igbos will make their own. Igbos have been vindicated. The truth always finds a way to surface.Yeah right, it's left for the Midwest to come clean. MB, SW, and the Ijaw have come clean. At least, we're getting there. When everyone finally comes clean and see that the whole South actually lost that war, then we can move ahead to liberate ourselves from this bondage. |
Katsumoto: Some of you will not let Awo's name be, I will be back to address some posts.I hope you challenge Fani Kayode and not us. |
Alh Harem is back, onomeasike is back. Welcome back from security duties at the olympics. |
The truth shall set us free! I hope that the Yorubas will finally see reason with us rather than throw empty punches to cover the past. Points to note: -Biafran troops stopped at Ore and asked for free passage because their intention was not occupy Yoruba land as some NLers often talk about. Yorubas refused rather attacked Biafrans. Biafran intention was to get to Lagos, the seat of government. -Awolowo really had a pact with Biafra but reneged when promised Presidency. He sold his conscience and killed innocent children with his policies. |
Anyway, lets not make this an Igbo thread. Parties mentioned in the OP were Northerners, Ijaws and Yorubas. |
@ Mr.chippychappy I understand every single thing you said but this is not a pay back time. Mind you, I had 6 of my family members in the last war including my mom and lost one of them. This is no pay back time. If the war will guarantee that they let the Igbos go before the war even starts, then good but to wait till the end of the war, gawd, that's not going to happen. If they defeat any Easterner again, it's bye bye to anything we think we are because the intimidation that will follow, god knows. Ask the Yoruba or the Ijaw how it feels now after 1967. Never allow those devils another victory parade! This is not about bravado, it's about liberation. |
@ OP, A beg, the bold faced quotes are too many, it makes it hard to read. |
This problem has nothing to do with the igbos. I'll advise igbos to grab a pop corn and watch how things turn out. The population we have now is precious to us and we can't afford to waste our population again , We would not fight FOR or AGAINST. If |
asha 80: That condition, according to him was the establishment of a One Mile Corridor. “From Offa which is in our region, from the rail line to the sea (wharf) we declare One Mile Military Corridor, meaning all of them who built houses within One Mile, we will crush down their houses. And nobody will stop our vehicles and vessels from accessing the sea, this we told our Yorubas in Ilorin to tell them. And from that time we never hear them. This is Military Corridor, we of the past hope our children will carry it,” warning that nobody could stop the people of the North, whom he said number 120 million, from accessing the sea. This is an interesting part of the quote. Does it mean that the military corridor from Offa to Wharf still belongs to them ![]() |
ozalogbo: The Bible advises that before u go to war, you must sit down and count the cost. Asari Dokubo and the rest beating the drums of war must sit down and count the cost. The truth is that if there is war today, it is going to be between the North and the Ijaws. I dont see the Yorubas joining the Ijaws. The Ibos might as well betray the Ijaws. In fact, it might turn out to be pay back time for the betrayal during the Civil War. It is convenient now to lump the Ijaws, Urhobos, Itsekiris, etc as the Niger Delta, but in the event of a war, i dont see these tribes fighting to save the Ijaws. The Urhobos have been angry with Jonathan that his govt has not benefitted them in any way. And so have the Itsekiri, especially with regards to political appointment and the implementation of the amnesty program. Those calling for war must sit down and count the cost. And for those banking on foreign military aid, they should also be ready sign out at least half of their God given wealth. Remember Bakassi. The bold faced is impossible! First, there'll never be a corridor through the East, never going to happen. Second, we can not sit idly by and watch those we loathe fight in our backyard. Maybe you don't know Igbos too well. If there'll be a war, so be it. It's now or never. |
PointB: Is this guy saying that conquered Bayelsa/Ijaw on their own? No help, not collaborator. To them, they conquered the South. The Igbo then represented Southern strength. |
This is why Yorubas and Hausas stink! Nigeria must be divided cause I can't stand their mess ![]() |
kandiikane: Yes, you can give your skidmark boxers to your wife or girlfriend to wash. You're worried about your boxers, what about the comfort of other people? You can do whatever you like at home but not in public places. Some talked about taking water to a toilet, wonders shall never end. |
kandiikane: How can water splash when you are sitting down on the toilet and leg spread? To even keep urine out is sometimes hard not to talk of water. It stinks because water splatter mixed with poo accumulate forming mould that is odorous. You can never fine MMA's toilets dry. Mind you, in public places, there are urinals so the stink is not from urine and urine has it own characteristic smell. |
odumchi: The truth is that most of Nigeria still defecates in "Turkish" toilets and people have just started using tissue paper en-mass not to talk of having water sprayers. It's not even a matter of having water sprayers equipped in their toilets but what do you dry your anus, wet buttocks and legs with, especially when you are in a public place? Toilet tissue or hand towel? It's a complete mess! They rather have a complete shower than try to wash their anus. To me it's nasty and disgusting. |
kengis: you wash it over (above) the toilet... with water splashing everywhere? This is the main reason Murtala Mohammed Airport's toilets are always smelly and never dry. A decent person can hardly use it. |
kengis: water is more hygienic but you may use paper firstWhere do you wash it? No one has answered me, what toilet equipment was designed for washing of anus? |
Dede1: I guess you did not read my response to the original post hence this misguided question. Ijo never had alliance with Northern Peoples Congress or Northern region of Nigeria. There were other political parties in northern region beside Northern Peoples Congress during the era in discuss. Again, I think you should agree with me that NPC did not equate northern region of Nigeria..I think you're the person that's wrong. All the names you mentioned are being contested by the Ijaws who in turn have changed those names to Ijaw sounding ones. Bonny is being claimed by the Ijaws and all the big players were mostly in Bonny. They worked with their Ijaw neighbours and the Ijaws claim them. So the Ijaws and others have this feeling of being in control and have always dealt directly with the British rather than with the Igbos. Secondly, in the old Colony and Protectorate of Southern Nigeria, Warri was the administrative capital of Central Province and Calabar Eastern Province. In fact, some part of Igboland were not yet in British control. So when Eastern Region was created and rather than make Calabar the capital, Enugu was chosen. That, to Asari, was the genesis of the problem in Eastern Region. A similar thing happened when Asaba, rather than the defacto capital of Delta, Warri, was made the capital, Deltans blamed it on IBB's wife who was Igbo. This has made Delta government, who mostly are non-Igbos, to run a parallel state capital since they can't reverse it. In the case of Enugu, they feared the Igbos would dominate them with our sheer number and rapidly expending literate and wealthy class, so envy and fear of domination set in. |
just yse calabash or bucket. and use left hand. in my village soap is not always available for the left hand, so usually sand and water is used. also keep nails well-trimmed. this is called personal hygeine.
Do you carry your calabash or bucket around? When you come to a public place, what do you use? |
... and who said Alh Harem is no longer posting? His monikers abound. He just got fade up with Alh. Harem and the chameleon tag. |
disgusting unhygenic people. i use water. cant even imagine tissue paper use. is just disgusting with all the dirt stuck up your backside not to mention the microscopic bacteria and the stench. tissue paper must be banned in Nigeria for health and hygenic reasons. i still dont get why people call Yorubas dirty. it is very clean of them to be using water. Igbos learn from them.
It's one of the things that make Yorubas dirty. In a toilet, what equipment was designed for washing anus? |
For the first, I will say I'll give Asari Dokubo my total support in anything he does for saying the absolute truth. They say "only truth shall set us free". Also, for him to have the temerity to ask Chief Edwin Clark what agreement did they(him and others) enter with the North and for calling on him to repent, I'll say I am thrilled! Discord was sown in the East and only goons will not ask, what actually was the problem and only goons will believe the cooked up tales from outsiders. Like I have always said, it will never be like 1967 again. |
Bliss4Lyfe: Asari is a good historian. Talk about diagnosing a problem from its origin.(Genesis)You can say that again ... |
Blackteeth: And people still walk on it. When it collaspes and people die, the government will be accused of killing them. Why cant these folks stay away from the brigde since the authourity doesnt want to intervene? It is true that the government has been ineffective but the citizens are not helping themselves either.Yes the government will be accused of killing them for failing to do their job! |
