CultureRe: Igbo Bia Suọ Olu Inyì :: Come And Speak Your Dialects by Obiagu1(m):
I feel that to improve Igbo language more, it needs to be more centralized while we incorporate various dialects into it.
We only need to bring in adjectives, nouns and distinct verbs from various dialects to broaden the vocabulary like it is in English while we maintain a central structure and verbs should be standardized eliminating spelling differences like ejo/ezo, bụ/wụ, si/shi (said). Other spelling differences should be standardized too like ife/ihe, gini/kini, unu/ịnyị, mmiri/mmili etc.

Ex. One could say:
Aga m echiya azụ ọsịsọ maka mmiri na-ezo.
Aga m echiya azụ ngwa-ngwa maka mmiri na-ezo.
Aga m echiya azụ eze-eze maka mmiri na-ezo.

Ọ bụ gịnị ka ị na-eme ugbua?
Ọ bụ gịnị ka ị na-eme kita?
Ọ bụ gịnị ka ị na-eme mgben?

A similar example in English is:
I think he is going mad.
I think he is going crazy.
I think he is going insane.

Ndị be anyị, kee ife iche?
PoliticsRe: Reps May Soon Drop Impeachment Threat On President GEJ by Obiagu1(m): 7:05am On Aug 05, 2012
The threat  by the House of Representatives to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan over “poor” budget implementation may fizzle out after all.

Findings indicate that the lawmakers  are not keen on removing the President.

They, however, insist that he “must” execute all the constituency projects of lawmakers built into the 2012 Appropriation Act.

This has been identified as “the real bone of contention between the executive and the legislative house.”
Now, this is the reason for all the noise.

Bisichi: The essence of language is to communicate. Which one is better- a well constructed english wit no meaning OR a disjointed one with meanings? Mind you, most leaders do not speak good english.
When people make mistakes like using incorrect tenses, spellings, or confuse a word with another similar sounding word, then it is understandable. Many people do make such mistakes.

Mrs Jonathan simply said, "My husband is a couple". It's shocking and pathetic if she indeed said it!
EducationRe: Worst Primary School There Is in Nigeria?- Pathetic Pictures! by Obiagu1(m):
henrychubayo: Plz i have a different opinion on these. These is not the worst primary school because there are pupils who don't even have a class room but study beside a tree and there are some who don't have roof cover in the so called class building. Actually, what the school here needs is a large renovations and some furnitures.
It might not be the worst primary school in Nigeria but to have such a school in a state capital is really sad and disgraceful.
If it was in a village, it would be understandable. Shame on the government! sad

I know it won't be long before he will derail an Igbo thread again. I opened an Ngwa thread for him to write whichever way he chooses to write with his fellow Ngwa but it seems like he will always carry on with his behaviour, derailing every Igbo thread. If he should write in Ngwa, he should do so with Igbo orthography so that others could read it. It's too rude of him to continue this way.

It's like writing Nedu210 3rd line:
Iya, ndụ ibe anyi na ekene 'ndaa', echekwe m shọọ sọsọ ndụ ibeanyi na ekene ndaa, Mana mgben ahụgwo m na ọbụhụ sọọ anyi.

as this:
..., nduh bay arnyih nah akenay 'ndar', atceh quem shaw sausor nduh ebay arnyi nah akenay ndar, marnah ... ar hoogwoe m nah awboohu saw arnyih

It doesn't make sense at all.

I'm hoping someone will tell me. I hope this thread is just about demonstrating our various dialects, if its not then I think it wont go very far without translations considering how difficult it is to make sense of some dialects.

PoliticsSecession movement is not criminal, rather it is political, a Kenyan Court said by Obiagu1(op):
A Kenyan court said there was no evidence that the MRC (a secessionist group) had engaged in criminal activity.

"The court has been able to deduce that MRC is a political movement. Secession is a political agenda," Justice Francis Tuiyot said.

The court, however, stressed that the MRC must campaign for independence in a democratic way, without inciting war or promoting hate speech.

Don't let me supply you with unlimited links of Yoruba killing other people.
I asked you to provide a link of an Igbo killing a sibling or parent for money and you posted silly links.

This is why people don't pass WAEC. undecided

By the way, if you're not being disingenuous, do yourself a favour by removing the links that have no relevance to the one I requested for else I'll flood this thread with Yoruba killing people links.
