Beauty is an understatement. I don't even know what to use to qualify how cute she is. I'm just surprised and wondering why Flavour didn't marry this girl. If I had the means or the connect I wouldn't mind making her my wife. No jokes.

Many thanks for the write-up. One seem-to-be challenge i have been harbouring within me is Licence. I feel you need to be licensed by a certain body before you can operate. Please, can you help put my mind to rest in the aspect of licence? Thank you!
Licensing for courier businesses in Nigeria is handled by the Courier Regulatory department under the Nigeria Postal service. It costs 2million to get the license but prior to that you have to obtain a licensing form for 20k and also present an insurance policy of up to 500k, a registered business name and a legal office Address that's backed by a certificate of tenancy. When you present all this they then grant you a license. Note that for small courier business you are mandated to pay 350k every year for renewal of license whole big courier companies especially those that ply intertstate pays 1-1.5m or so (not so sure).

To be honest with you, I started just like that. No bikes, no office, just a couple of guys with back packs. I had to get bank reference letter, TIN cert and some supporting docs submitted to a couple of the companies I work with. Apart from 2 major companies that have a big website, the rest of my clients are mainly individuals that sells stuffs through social media platforms. Business is good.... Except for clients that reject items, tell you they no longer need it or just won't pick your calls when the items they ordered have been sent to me.
Lol wonderful. No bikes.. No bus.. Just bagpacks.. Wait so they trek or enter public buses. I'm very confused. That issue of customers rejecting items is a huge bottleneck and the only way it can be resolved is making customers pay for items before it is shipped. I don't know you but I love your resilience already. Lol

Great thread. I presently run a door-step delivery service outfit in Port Harcourt. We handle deliveries within Rivers States for now and occasionally to yenagoa in special cases. I hope to spread operations across the south-south States soon. It's not easy but as the day goes by, it gets very interesting
How much did it cost you in starting cos from my calculations it cost quite a lot. How is business down south?

I do not know about your cousin, if you read my post I said it based on my own "CLAN" experience. What I do know is if I spend 4million today on my wedding, I am optimistic that I'll receive 2million in cash gifts and other intangibles put together. Its all about the CALIBRE of people that attend your wedding. Morover, if you have parents or you are the type that always make sure that you attend any event of these rich people. When its your turn, they'll always reciprocate the gesture. I'm speaking from experience. When president jonathans daughter got married, didn't you read where she got over 80 luxury cars? Do you know the worth of 80 luxury cars? That's over 1billion naira! Will you tell me the couples spent over 1bn on wedding?
Lol its quite obvious your priorities are misplaced. I don't think you are a good fit for any right thinking girl. Please take offense. And FYI they gave those cars cos they needed something in return so you should check that. As for your example if i spend 4million and get 2m back then I have lost 2m which is a bad thing. You guys are funny.

diva90:
I don't recommend offers like this to any couple that have money. If you have money, invest in quality because it's a once in a life time wedding. You can only imagine the quality of services that will be offered to you at such a budget. The cost of all these on a regular day at an average Lagos/abuja wedding of 350-400 guests is nothing less than 3 million. If you decide to have 500k wedding, you already know it's Fanta, Coke and zobo that your guests will be drinking.
I'ld rather get a small together for my wedding and buy properties at Lekki-Epe with that 3million. Spend a little more on developing and sell it for 100 million in a few years. Build my house and start off a good transport business , go into real estate and throw in a super market somewhere too lol. Then I can make everyday a wedding day for my wife. How about that?
FamilyRe: What Does One Need To Start A Family At 2. by obiaguna(m): 9:59pm On Jan 15, 2017
Poster there is absolutely nothing wrong with you wanting to get married at the age of 26. But first you need to be prepared mentally and emotionally. You need to be an adult about a whole lot of things and you must always be prepared to put on your big boy pants. Good thing you have a job. Then to further reiterate what others have said, you need to get a comfortable apartment and a side income. Love is all that matters truly but notwithstanding, finances and maturity would always come with it and on that I wish you well. Don't forget to also learn contentment and pray to God to guide you to lead your home on both the spiritual front and physical as well. Don't forget that love and humility comes first and don't keep side chicks. Let your woman be your everything. Lol I don dey talk like Papa but I wish you well bro. I really do.

FamilyRe: My Wife Has Given Me Days To Come For Sex Every Week by obiaguna(m): 1:06am On Dec 19, 2016
Man this is wrong on every level. How can your wife dictate when you would sleep with her. I don't know about you bro but this is disgusting and disrespectful. What must have led to this? Is your sex game wack? Is she the breadwinner? Is she older than you? Are you currently engaged with something ? Like I have settled down to think of this and all I can say is that your wife CURRENTLY has NO interest in having sexual relations with you. Cos if she does then there won't be need to be fixing time tables. Like its almost unbelievable bruh. You need to wake up and smell your balls to be sure you are still the man. It's a given that there are underlying issues and you need to tackle those issues albeit strategically and while you are it I would encourage you to refrain from having sex with your wife. Your wife can pick the soup to be prepared but she damn shouldn't be calling the shots in the bedroom. That's your duty bro. Don't touch her for a while, communicate with her to see where the challenge is and you just go about your biz while you try to solve them. I bet you with time you gon be giving her anywhere and anyday . Cheers brother.

Excellent. In line with a master plan we are working on called the SuperSouth Development Marshall Plan. The 11 states of the SuperSouth(SE+SS) coming together to form a strategic economic bloc that would take Africa by storm
I would love to read more and partake in this if true. Is there a website or any lead on this. Some of us could be interested . what's up?
BusinessRe: 70 Igbo Billionaires To Turn The East To An Industrial Hub by obiaguna(m): 2:25am On Dec 07, 2016
What I think is the best method would be to develop the east massively and Dr Nnaji's idea would be a perfect start. Already we have some of the brightest minds academically so we can call some to help develop every area of the east in terms of trade, health, tourism, agriculture, finance ,technology, power and energy. We need a united south east that would thrive on production and export, then agriculture. We need a southeast that would go the extra mile in education and business. We need a south east that would move from " Na my shop be this" economy to partnerships that can generate billions in revenue. But it all starts with education. Invest in people and people would surely invest in their community so if we can put our house in other then we can achieve anything. There is so much potential in Igbo land and if we get things right partnerships from other regions would come and people would come back to the east to set up shop. This is a smart initiative and I sincerely hope it comes to pass . Forget Biafra hustle for now cos if we get it right here in Nigeria then we can look for better processes to actualize Biafra . Daalu.

I know that but is it possible that 224 workers will commit grevious or sackable offences at about the same time. Capitalists systems are very wicked, if you understand what I'm saying.
This is prevalent in manufacturing and retail companies. You hire a middle aged man thinking he has integrity to manage your fleet and within two weeks he's already connived with a few others and they are already stealing from the company or planning to abscond with company vehicle. Won't want to generalize but its common practice in Nigeria albeit an unhealthy one. There are a lot of thieves here and steps like this has to be taken a few times to put house in order. Sometimes let's try to think and apply common sense.

In the media business you can still diversify. One person owns Beat FM , Naija FM and naija info. One family owns Wazobia, Cool FM , Classic FM and Wazobia TV. Linda ikeji blog, Linda Ikeji social , I guess TV and radio or something. That's diversification.

Haven't been to Rwanda but theres no way I can doubt any of the things I have seen here. Kagame is a visionary president and this country along with Kenya and a hosy of other eastern and southern African countries are going to make Africa proud. Sadly money that would have been used to develop Nigeria into a first world country has been swallowed by greedy politicians. Stashed away in other countries and saving for their unborn kids.

BusinessRe: Why We Import Cheap Goods From China - Igbo Traders by obiaguna(m): 1:15pm On Dec 04, 2016
Nothing bad with what they are doing cos China/Asia is the manufacturing hub of the globe and it's better to buy directly from source than to buy from third party sellers. Not news that majority of Nigerians are mildly below middle class cos the rich would probably never shop at Alaba market. But looking ahead I am hoping that one day we would start producing stuff here in Nigeria but a lot of things needs to be put in place for that to happen. When would it be? Nobody knows.

Wow! You guys have been really amazing with your words, I really do appreciate. Thank you so much!
I guess I'll stick to you guys advice moving on and still been friends with her, and also not giving up on my self and also work on my success too

Please what little business that is profitable with time do you guys think/suggest one can start or do while in school?
For a start, I would advice you to stop being friends with her for now so you can move on totally. Call her or text her the situation, that you want to focus on a few things right now and its best the conversation reduces to a minimal level that's comfortable for you ( this actually means little or no conversation). at least she can focus on her new man while you focus on your new life so you don start feeling bad abt it. Then next thing is to delete her contacts ,her pictures and pictures of both of you together.I know y'all loved up at one point but its part of the healing process. Then try and actually stay focused in school. I saw you asking for business ideas and I think it's a good way to start so get one and combine it with your studies. That way you won't have time to fall in love anytime soon and also your account and your life would keep going up as you focus on reading..leaning new things and learning the ropes of entrepreneurship. See my guy..heartbreak is not the end of the world, just turn the situation around, dream big and be happy knowing there is an awesome future ahead of you. Cheers mate.

Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump Appoints Adebayo Ogunlesi, A Nigerian In His Economic Advisory Team by obiaguna(m): 12:58am On Dec 03, 2016
StOla:
It is Ogunlesi not Ogunlensi.

Secondly, he is Ijebu from Ogun state, not Ondo state. His father is Professor Ogunlesi, the first Nigerian professor of medicine.

As for Trump and the Republicans, they have a penchant for assembling capitalist gurus, that in turn wreck the solid economy already achieved by the Democrats.

Bush made sure he wrecked the economy he inherited from Clinton. Obama cleaned up the mess of Bush, now a Republican Trump has come to inherit a stable democrat engineered economy.

How do the Republicans wreck the economy?
They invite all their capitalist friends to run the country, who as a matter of first priority, erase all forms of government regulations in their own respective business sectors. Bluntly put, they are in power to see how best to grow their own businesses. They continue to take all manner of greedy risks, even if they have to bet against America.

They quickly cut taxes for the wealthiest of the wealthy, claiming such increase in disposable income would be reinvested in the economy by creating more jobs. When the charade falls apart, they run back to beg for government bailout with tax payers funds, while still flying about in chartered flights living an illusion called American Dream.
The average Joe remains average.

Time will tell if Trump will wreck it in typical Republican fashion, while the short memory Americans run back to the Democrats for succour in a cycle that never changes.
You echo my thoughts . I'm sure he would wreck it. This list is far from impressive . One sided and non inspiring.
