nobilis: What did she do to make Nigeria the largest economy in Africa? Nothing. Which of her policies drove Nigeria to the top of African economic landscape? Just mention one.
Like I said earlier, she presided over the economy when crude oil sold for the highest ever price in human history. Crude oil is Nigeria's main and only export. So why won't Nigeria be the largest economy in Africa in that period. Na Jazz
She might be the best economist Nigeria will ever see but still I ask, what did she do with Nigeria's economy in Nigeria's time of abundance? Even while she is lamenting her hand being forced to share the monies in the ECA, what did she do with the FG's share?
Valid questions that sentimentalists won't dare ask. But I thought Nigeria was the largest economy in Africa when she was there now. And during her tenure inflation was reasonable, no case of recession, unemployment rate wasn't what it is at the moment . Fx and other economic indicators were also reasonable. That should count for something. No? |

nobilis: Really?? The YouWin that served as an avenue for embezzling funds?
How much did you save in Nigeria's time of abundance? Because you were at the helm of her finances when her main and virtually, only, export, crude oil, was sold for the highest price ever in the history of the world.
Where is the FG's share of the ECA?
What did you people do with the economy when Nigeria was in her time of plenty? Is there a link to back up your claim that funds were embezzled under the Youwin programme? |

I have been thinking of ACCA dip (Ifrs) since last year. I think i will go for that.
Thanks once again. Lol @ prohibitive. No problem. |

I have registered for both as I was undecided and a bit lazy. Not I want to start taking lectures in January. I think my mind tilts towards ACCA as the concepts are quite strategic and can enable better business decision making. ICAN has this "pass at all costs mentality" feel to it.
I got ACCA exemptions but I want to start from Scratch as I had a few problems in F5 as I didn't do F2. I also want to properly shape my foundation in Accounting so I can properly get the concepts n make better decisions. Gunning for a role in Cooperate Finance in the long run.
@Haibe - Are you a student in Synergy. Need to know the prices for f1 to f4 lectures . Get at me bro. Pm or something. @sureguy - Hope you are good too. |

Lol OP.. How dare you compare Ijebu garri without sugar to Fried rice and chicken.
Well if you have the funds then go to LBS. It's the closest thing to whatever you can get abroad. It's quality, good value for money and you also get to have access to good networks and major industry players. An MBA from Unilag is a total waste and I wouldnt want anyone to waste their money. If you can't afford LBS then take another certification. There's CIMA, FRM, ACCA DipIFRS or even CFA. Since you are really keen on getting busy academically. What ever is worth doing is worth doing well my man. |

Read this story last night but I slept off after I got to page 3. Op you are a good woman, you have tried and no one can take that away from you no matter what happens going forward. Sadly, your brother is very irresponsible and I'm afraid he's useless. Ignore these people saying you should pay him off, give him your car, give him money blah blah blah. Please don't listen to any of that cos you are not his father or his boss at work. Let him understand the concept of Risk and Reward. Let him learn to hustle cos he's a shameless 29 year old. He says he wants to be on Uber. Uber has a scheme where they match drivers without cars with car owners so your brother can get picked by someone and earn a salary. So don't give him anything and also get him to leave your house immediately. Let him stay with his friends. Trust me he would survive or not. Please you have your life ahead of you. You have your wedding, your future kids and family. Save for them and enjoy your life. Learn to Say No and stand by your decision. God will help you surely. Let's know how it goes afterwards. |

Stoical: I am sorry for the "fictitious" lady. I hope not to sound so deviating but I feel the story has a bit of contradiction earlier, which made me discontinue reading the rest...
My hardworking lady in the post once said, she no longer had any savings due to her brother's misbehaviour and later in another rejoinder, that she is saving money for her upcoming wedding/supporting her fiance to rent their house and also to help fix her parent's house...
I found it difficult to marry these two statements...just saying/thinking outta the box. A is for Apple. B is for Ball, C is for Cat. Continue like that till you get to Z. Itiboribo. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Right For A Christian To Eat The Moslem Ram During This Celebration? by obiaguna(m): 9:20pm On Sep 11, 2016 |
FriendChoice: @Ranchhoddas your reply shows you don't understand what he says, and you're busy calling it quite right. Its totally wrong. He says we cast our sins before slaughtering it. Which is wrong. We are not idol worshippers rather we call God name, we submit the Animals to him and slaughter it.
Bismillaahi wallaahu ‘Akbar [Allaahumma minka wa laka] Allaahumma taqabbal minnee.
In the Name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest! [Oh Allah, from You and to You.] Oh Allah, accept it from me.
He also alleged that we cast our sins on the ram we share and hide a separate one to eat. Any Ram, in fact any animal you did not kill with Allah's name, you cannot eat it. God doesn't need your meat, HE doesn't need the blood of the Animals. What he need is the faith in your mind that you believe this Ram is God creature and God made me superior to kill it, he subjected the ram to me. If he wishes the Ram will be the one to kill me. Then Allah I submit Your creature (Ram) to you.
Their meat will not reach Allah , nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good [Quran 22: 37]
My point is there is nothing like separate hidden ram that Allah's name has not been mentioned.
Mode Of Division It's advisable when you slaughter 1 ram, you divided in to 3. One portion for your neighborhood regardless of who they are etc. The second portion to all the needy, the third portion for yourself. This is only the teaching of the Sunnah not command.
If you eat all the ram without giving it out, your sacrifice is valid
If you give some and keep some, it is still valid
If you dash it all outside, without you eating, it's still valid.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.476 Narrated by Salama bin Al Aqua. The Prophet (saws) said: (Of the Sacrifice) eat of it, and feed of it to others, and store of it. Thank you very much for taking your time to educate us on this. I hope people read and gain understanding. |

spice123: @Op It is not only wrong but it's a bad luck to eat it. They actually cast their lots (bad luck and past sins) on the ram before killing it and so if you partake in it,........ The bar is low but it appears we need to take it lower. Sigh. |

Some Nigerians truly are brain dead and stuck in the mediaval ages. The same way Christians buy chicken and turkey during Christmas is the same way Muslim's buy rams and cow. Both are used to celebrate the season and there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating and partaking in any. Seriously we as Nigerians have a long way to go if a few lots are still thinking like they have no brain in their heads. |

This should be on the front page cos a lot of people are idling away and waiting for that day when God would pick their calls. I think staying in a career that you have no natural talent for is the worst of all. Promotions and progress would elude you and you would be depressed most of the time. People should find their niche and convert it to cash. Plus this Nigeria has a way of killing people's dreams. God help all of us. |

drnoel: Na wah ooh. Ur comments really ticked me the wrong way. I could give u many instances from my very little experience. I remember a case back then in Uni I had pursued a chick intensively for 2 weeks and stooped. I had told her I didn't know where I wanted it to lead us (if u remember my comments earlier). I really liked her, didn't really want to bed her but liked having her around and had told her plainly. She came over visting and mentioned in her own words "eh! U have stopped calling and u don't come to see me again". I told her "well I told u that I would just pursue u for 2 weeks and not more". She told me "U gave up too easily. That means u just wanted to sleep with me". I told her "as I rule. If I wanted to sleep with u. I would have told u. U would have known. Why would I chade u for months, is that what I came to this school to do? I dont have time for that rubbish. If u like me and u wanna hang out fine lets hang out and see where it leads us. That what I told u and I meant it. For u to be looking out for me to actively pursue u and keep pursuing u for months, thats not me, I have high contraindications for such". After that I noticed she started giving serious green lights and when I didnt respond she started doing the chasing. That was just one issue from certain others and there are some others but I wont gi into them. I think we are saying the same thing basically. Everything might have happened within that 6 months and maybe they just choose to define it with that duration. I'm assuming sha. Lol this your strategy is aggressive aggressive o. I like it . |

drnoel: Wtf, pursue a girl for 6 months, god forbid. Am I doing business that I should be patient? In my time I never went after a chick for more that 1 to 2 weeks. After 2 weeks and am not feeling her the game is off. I pursue her intensively for 1 week and by the 2nd week I give her my flows, telling her my honest mind. I was always completely honest about what and wanted. If I just wanted to bed her I would plainly tell her and if I felt she was date able I would also tell her. If I didnt know what I wanted but wanted to just try her out I didnt mince words I told her. It never failed me cos they were usually shocked to the marrow after I was done talking. Once I had told her, I usually didn't stay like her lap dog waiting for her reply, I was gone. Funny enof or like magic it almost always works. 95% of them do come back. I realised the ones I told that I wanted to bed would come back and do shakara but I would still bed them. The ones I told I wanted to date were more difficult. The ones I told lets do a trial ended up being the ones to turn around and start doing tge chase. But ofcos every situation is not the same so one has to tailor things to fit every time. 6 months is okay for somebody you want to date. If you could wait for 6 months then i'm certain that the babe was already encouraging the guy while he was at it. One or two weeks p is not for a girl you want to date. But I feel you. |

This is a good post. In short it's fantastic.
Guys, please take all the tips there and practice it. I kind of think it transcends to other aspects of life. Be confident and own your own life. Make decisions especially unpopular decisions. Be brave and fearless. Trust me, nothing attracts a woman better than a brave and a confident guy plus one that has it all going for him. Extra tip: Don't go after one girl at any point in time. Have options. Have lots and loads of options. Don't call regularly, text a lot. Keep texting, then stop, call once and start texting again. What I mean is that you should have a life really. Don't be there for her always.
Final tip - If you are dealing with igbo girls especially the damsels from Owerri, then by all means print the op's article and recite it every morning. Trust me you'ld need it more. Good luck. |
