Montaque: Hmmmm. Exactly what we were taught in a retreat seminar yesterday. My questions: 1: must the will of God for you in marriage make the marriage a bliss,as in no problem at all. When the op and proponent of this idea talk, the suppose that becus the spouse is nt Gods will, thats why there is problem. In otherwords saying that the one thats Gods will is a perfect union. 2: can a brother know or even like a sister as per her pedigree, and then ask God to show him signs to comfirm if she is the right one, sincerely?. It seems from the proponents that the will of God must be somebody outside ur friends circle, infact a stranger. 3: can a brother who loves a certain sister submit his written interest(testimony) to the marriage committe on the ground that he loves the sister sincerely and wud want her as a wife,as in no dream, vision, revelation or any such kind of foreknowing? 4: even the people that asserts to have married their God willed spouse still have problems in marriage,so what is the place of patience, tolerance and consideration in marriage? Plz i need matured answers, MFM ABI HOPE THEY STILL DO DELIVERANCE BECAUSE I NEED ONE FOR MYSELF |

Most people are too spiritually ignorant to know that ones you've had intimacy u've already welded, not wedded, ur selves! It takes grace to discern the wrong partner at this junction, because they are already joined in covenants! God is a respecter of covenants; because He is a covenant keeping God! "....Without understanding, COVENANTBREAKERS, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them". Stop joining yourselves up and down! Wait for the proper thing! brother u mean I have been joined to more than 200+ women then I seriously need deliverance maybe that why I hardly see good babes but all in all I am going to have a good home by eledumare grace's pls nobody should quote me ..............ignore him |

Ruggedbaba: I just can't help but laugh at the ethnic warlords! This is one of the reasons why Buhari is disliked! He thinks and talk about only the North! Those from Delta Central and South distrust those from the North, based on one simple reason- they love gloating and scheming! Okowa has not won the election and yet , his kinsmen has started planning how to share the state resources! How many votes were cast in Delta North during the last Presidential elections? Compare it to the Central and North? Okowa needs toxic votes from Warri North, if not, he is cooked goose! And if you don't know, Uduaghan, Emami and Ejele holds the key to the Itsekiri voting system! He has to come to terms with them, and as you know, our allocations will be involved, or else, the Ngige saga will happen again ! If he does not cooperate, they will blackmail him with electoral malpractices! That is what Uba used to destroy Ngige, and Obi won the case! The people will always be a loser! The leaders ganged up against Engr Kragha , a petroleum godfather in Norway,in 1999, because they felt that Ibori is a bridge between the Itsekiris and Urhobos. He played a fast one on them later. I weep for Delta State because our future is really bleak, compared to the rest of the Niger Delta. We are the piggy bank of PDP! sharing of resources am not aware of that, so your take is okowa should strike a deal with the gov. or what that old school mentality pls correct me if am wrong what are friends for. |

Nairaland General › The Word For Today by obiak4(op): 6:52am On Dec 22, 2014 |
THE WORD FOR TODAY MONDAY DECEMBER 22, 2014. "STOP FIGHTING IN YOUR OWN STRENGTH" ‘We do not wage war as the world does.’ 2 Corinthians 10:3 NIV During World War II, Allied bombers carried machine guns in the nose, under the belly, on top, and in the rear. B-17s, better known as ‘flying fortresses’, carried thirteen .50 calibre machine guns. At one point scientists suggested the planes might actually be safer without them. Without the extra weight needed to operate the guns, they could fly faster and higher, increasing their odds of survival. The pilots, however, thought differently. They wouldn’t even consider embarking on a mission without guns to shoot back and defend themselves. With that thought in mind, Jon Walker says: ‘We make the same choice when it comes to fighting our own battles.’ God says we don’t need the guns…we can soar higher and faster with Him. ‘For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.’ The weapons He gives ‘have divine power to demolish strongholds’; we don’t need the ‘weapons of the world’ (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NIV) . But we say ‘No thanks’; we have to shoot back and defend ourselves with arsenals of angry words, demanding attitudes, manipulative manoeuvres, excessive excuses, and bombs of blame. It takes courage to stop using weapons of the flesh, ‘take up the shield of faith’, and arm ourselves with the weapons of God (Ephesians 6:16 NIV). It’s the kind of faith David showed when he [told] Goliath, ‘You come against me with sword and spear…but I come against you in the name of the Lord’ (1 Samuel 17:45 NIV). Stop fighting in your own strength and let God’s spiritual arsenal defend you; ‘He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him’ (Proverbs 30:5 NIV). Nairaland General › Last Message For My Late Friend Sodiq Akambi R.i.p 15/12/14 by obiak4(op): 2:38pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognised his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?" The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. "I wrote: 'Today is a beautiful day; but I cannot see it.'"Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign reminded people how fortunate they were to have their sight. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective? Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear. It's a beautiful thing to see a person smiling. But even more beautiful if you are the reason for the smile!Faith is not about everything turning out OK. Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out. |
Family › Re: Touching Lies Mothers Tell Their Children by obiak4(m): 8:15am On Dec 14, 2014 |
acidtalk: This story begins when I was a child: I was born poor. Often we hadn’t enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion of rice.
While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say “Eat this rice, son! I’m not hungry.” This was Mother’s First Lie.
As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth.
Once she had caught just two fish, she would make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat the what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten, My heart was touched when I saw it.
Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, “Eat this fish, son! I don’t really like fish. ” This was Mother’s Second Lie.
Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to bring home some used matchboxes, which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candle light.
So I said,”Mother, go to sleep; it’s late: you can continue working tomorrow morning.” Mother smiled and said “Go to sleep, son! I’m not tired. ” This was Mother’s Third Lie. When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun.
When the bell rang, I ran to meet her.. Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong as my Mother’s love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration, I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too.
Mother said “Drink, son! I’m not thirsty!”. This was Mother’s Fourth Lie.After Father’s death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our family’s life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our family’s condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my house came to help us solve our problems big and small. Our other neighbours saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying “I don’t need love. ” This was Mother’s Fifth Lie………….
After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my old Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning just to sell a few vegetables.
I kept sending her money but she was stead fast and even sent the money back to me. She said, “I have enough money. ” That was Mother’s Sixth Lie. I continued my part-time studies for my Master’s Degree. Funded by the American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in America but Mother didn’t want to bother her son; she said to me”I’m not used to high living. ” That was Mother’s Seventh Lie. In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was bed ridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heart broken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said,”Don’t cry, son! I’m not in pain. ” That was Mother’s Eighth Lie. Telling me this, her eighth lie, she died. YES, MOTHER WAS AN ANGEL! M – O – T – H – E – R . “M” is for the Million things she gave me, “O” means Only that she’s growing old, “T” is for the Tears she shed to save me, “H” is for her Heart of gold, “E” is for her Eyes with love-light shining in them, “R” means Right, and right she’ll always be, Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER” a word that means the world to me. for. me ooooo after Jesus na my mama oooooo since no wife for now.Nneka(mother is. supreme)) |

aisha2: Not that I need to respond to you or defend myself but just for younger ones reading.
I am a social worker which means I work with people who need help to grow their lives. I have worked with single mothers for 8 years and I still work with them. Even though I am no longer in that department go to area 10 abuja social welfare secretariat and ask of Aisha even with regular staff transfers one or two will still know me because they always send single moms my way.
Also go to the orphanages in Abuja also ask of me. The widows association in Abuja before I lost interest due to some fraudulent practice on their part I raised capital for most of them to start businesses. When you are done, go to national hospital social welfare office and asked how much I raise annually for indigent patients
I only posted this because in my spare time i am here so this is also my community. I can not do for those I see and ignore those who i meet online hence I did this this year and I intend to continue God helping.
I learned from a young age that its only through giving we can serve Christ and not giving to pastors but giving ro the least among us because every struggling person you meet represents Jesus Christ.
The blessings And miracles God has performed in my life cannot be from power or might but from prayers of people " God bless you" from a genuine heart goes a long way.
I was once told I won't live passed 25 today am over 30. I was also given other damaging doctors reports but God has always had the final answer in everything that concerns me to the joy of doctors. I have never paid tithe in my life all my tithes and gifts go to those in need. I have been working for 10 years now and from 15,000 salary I still found to give and even when I have none I beg my sisters, friends and family to sow into the lives of others.
So brother, God has already noticed me and will keep noticing me, i dont need noticing from any online stranger..My intentions and interest for single mothers has never been fake or based on any eye service Mrs. Aisha or (miss) pls don't stop what you are doing infact keep up the good work God sees the heart and intention of every man.some people just what to comment just because people comment and they want to go with the crowd when they see something good instead of appreciation they backbite,at least u r trying to help the most weakest people,God help us wider na show or no b show ride on u gat my back 1000000000000000000000000% for. the. haters in. mode9' voice don't hate stretch you hands out and congratulate if u r a true humanitarian u would understand AM A RED CROSS SO I UNDERSTAND U.
