Has any senator or rep member ever been recalled in Nigeria in this republic? |
jmoore:Exactly. You just aired my mind. Our politicians are very quick to issue unrealistic bans. At the end the ban won't even be very effective because the root cause hasn't been addressed. |
I just hope there is no collusion between his office and the judiciary...just thinking. |
The guy saw sth we didn't see. |
Please, please and please, I beg the police officers to make sure to gather all their evidence and make a strong and intelligent case against these guys in the courts so they can get justice. Most of the cases brought up by the police are struck out in the courts because they didn't present their case intelligently. |
This is good. Hopefully, the government will be able to stop the hyper inflation and stabilize the exchange rate so that the naira doesn't get devalued at a rate that will make companies actually be at loss even if they had achieved profit ie Naira profit yet Dollar loss. |
No ransom was paid by the military ofcourse. But ransom was paid by the family. Who is deceiving who? These Kidnappers are still in the bush planning who is next. God help this country. |
We need the names of the miners. We also need the names of those who died. For transparency sake. |
ChukwuObe:It is not witchhunt if they prosecute him now. However, it will be if they decide to wait until 2027. |
This is the right time to prosecute him if they really have evidence. But I don't think they do. Watch as this case will die down and then be resurrected as 2027 is approaching. |
I hope they are not covering up something here. If they are, I advice them not to because it will only rear up its ugly head later on. |
LillyandDaisy:Exactly my point. That goes to show the incompetence. |
There is no way 45 people will be kidnapped and be hidden from public view. If the police is truly competent, this is an easy catch. But we all know our police isn't. God help us. |
I disagree. Tinubu is getting Politicking right but failing in both Governance and Economy. |
LagosG:I go with RICK. His car has less snow on its top. Also, the walk way to the door has less snow. And the snow heap around the tire shows the car was moved during the snow. |
Hopefully, the gas flaring is just a temporary thing and they will be able to channel the gas for something useful. |
If the average dollar rate for 2024 is eventually 1000 naira, it means the FG will have to borrow extra 200 naira (ie 1000 - 800 = 200) for every dollar borrowed in addition to the money they are already borrowing. That's a 25% increase in debt. And to be honest with you, I think the naira to dollar rate will be higher than 1000 naira in this 2024. I'm not a prophet of doom, I'm just saying things as I see them. |
Odogwuzack:You suppose pity everybody....including yourself join. I dey naija currently and I see the hardship everywhere. It's well. |
Melezenawii:Interesting. PDP has fully crumbled. I pray Labor Party remains strong in their opposition. PDP and APC are one and same. |
And this is the man that wanted to be president. |
Unique283:You are right. You have very good foresight. |
Obinoscopy:More Updates: So just like I predicted, there was a little drama at the Nigerian airport. Just a little drama that my guy was able to wiggle out of. So when he got to the Lagos International Airport, he brought out his expired Nigerian Passport and his Emergency Travel Document which he got from the Nigerian Embassy in the US. He made sure to properly fold the Emergency docuemnt so it's not visible to the Passprt control guys. His plan was to just present the passport to the immigration guys and if they question the expiration date then he will reveal the Emergency document. However for some reason, an immigration officer spoted the folded paper was able to decipher its content! He approached my guy, and made it seem as if he was trying to help beyond his statutory duty. He took my guys passport and his emergency document. He also asked some questions which he documented avidly. He then personally made sure to give the documents to a passport officer to adjudicate. After it was stamped, he asked my guy to find something for him. My guy politely told him no. So this is the conclusion on my guy's trip. Lufthansa has no issues with expired passport as long you have another valid ID in addition to the passport. Just make sure to get your Emergency Travel Certificate done so you can take along with you to the Nigerian immigration guys. |
Obinoscopy:More Updates: There were no passport control officers in Frankfurt, he just proceeded to his gate immediately he landed in Frankfurt. No security checks at all. I think its due to two reasons: 1. He is flying from a non-schengen area (USA) to a non-schengen area (NGR). 2. He flew from a country (USA) where they trust their security checks so no need to do any security checks again So there was no incidence in Frankfurt. He presented his expired passport and boardinc pass to the airline attendant and they allowed him board...no issues. I'll let you know what happens when he lands naija. I'm almost 100% sure there will be an incidence in Lagos with the immigration guys...lol. But he will trash it out, na correct naija guy im be. |
Update: I know someone who just boarded a lufthansa flight enroute to Lagos. He presented both his expired Nigerian Passport and valid USA Passport to the airline at the checkin counter. Both passports were scanned and boarding pass given to the guy with no questions asked. The flight will be transiting in Frankfurt. I'll give you more update as they come regarding his flight. |
cjudy:They will....albeit temporarily. Now I know why he made the decision to support APC. |
Phewwwwww |
Lightmykpoli:You think he can easily get another visa? I think he wants a prison where his chances of being released is much higher. Also american prisons has lots of gangs/cults in it. He is not fully suited for it as a foreigner. |
The rise and fall of Chelsea. Chelsea is going down. |
Priceless200:Were you an American citizen or a Permanent Resident when this happened? |
I've heard Delta Airline, KLM Airline accept Nigerians with expired Nigerian Passport. However, I don't know about Lufthansa, British Airway etc |
sholatech:Yeah she has. However she did say it's subject to the airlines to accept or reject. So I just want to know people's personal experiences which each airline. |
Hi Guys, Getting an expired Nigerian passport renewed is a hassle especially in Nigerian Embassies in foreign countries. This has left too many Nigerians in Diaspora with expired Nigerian Passport. I'm aware of an an existing law that prohibits the prevention of a Nigerian citizen from entry simply because he/she has an expired Passport. Once the airline drops you in Nigeria, nobody, i repeat, no nobody can send you back as long as you are a Nigerian. Infact I know a lot of Nigerians with dual citizenship who has traveled to Nigeria and back with their valid Foreign Passport and an expired Nigerian Passport. However I'm told that certain airlines might have their own policy regarding the use of expired passport. This thread is for people who have traveled with expired Nigerian Passport to share their experience. Please tell us the airline you used and the country you flew in from. Tell us which airport you used and the difficulties or ease you experienced throughout the flight. This information might be invaluable to people who intend traveling back to Nigeria during this yuletide season.
