mifavour: what state are u from bikoi am from anambra. |

My bro i am happy to read something positive, since you say this is your first visit, depending on what part of igbo land you are marrying from , they will give you a list for knocking on the door( N'kwa aka N' Uzo) after that if the girl's dad is dead, they will give you list for that too called (things for Nana nwa Dead), it more like homage then after that you will get the comprehensive list that contains both that of the male and female. then until after you has fulfill everything on the list in cash or kind then you could fix a date for your traditional marriage(Igba Nkwu) |
who has done the assessment and what is it all about? |

As the deadly Ebola epidemic continues to wreck havoc on West African countries, the Lagos state government on Sunday stepped up its surveillance to ensure infected nationals of affected countries sneak into Nigeria. Officials of Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Federal Government visited the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Joshua seeking his cooperation in ensuring Ebola victims are not brought to his church for healing. The SCOAN, a popular international church reputed for its claims of divine healing is a popular destination for sick people all over the world including the West African countries currently battling the Ebola epidemic. Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, who led the delegation to the SCOAN, said the visit was in recognition that the church is an international Christian congregation whose members comprise of people from all over the world including the countries of West African sub-region already affected by the disease. The commissioner added that the visit is one of the state government’s strategies of sensitizing faith-based organizations on the need to cooperate with the government to prevent the spread of the disease in the country by educating the worshippers to report health issues to medical experts. Idris said the Federal and Lagos state government are working hard to prevent a spread of the virus into the country, the delegation has deemed it fit to educate and create awareness among the multinational congregation on the disease and how it can spread. “We have our strategies that we intend to share with you. Again, we need to know the resources you have here because whether it is one or two cases, if they are allowed to get out, it is a major problem. We are here to work together on how to contain this disease,” Idris told the cleric. Another member of the delegation and Director, Centre for Disease Control (CDC), Professor Abdulsalami Nasidi said the visit was to inform the Synagogue church leadership about the deadliness of the Ebola virus and to ensure that it does not escape into the country. Nasidi, who is both an Epidemiologist and Virologist, said the meeting is a “positive engagement mission” saying the team is seeking the cooperation of the church in containing the virus. “We are here to engage you positively, we know the powers of this House and your powers and we are duty- bound to protect you and your congregation. We have no doubt the power God has given you, we can’t do that, but we want to help and make it work stronger,” he said. http://saharareporters.com/2014/08/03/lagos-government-warns-prophet-tb-joshua-not-accept-ebola-victims-his-synagogue-church |
i was on this road too on Sunday morning on my way to Owerri and i was literally very heart broken, that this road is getting worse by the day, i saw the broken down truck and i am seriously sicken by this government. i heard that the reason why the Imo state Government stopped work on that road is because it is politically motivated. That the governor of IMO state is not in good terms with GEJ. Imagine even when i was coming back to PH i saw this government convoyed passing inside the village bypass in other to avoid that bad road. Smh for them. |
they should arrest both the giver and the taker, because both of them are corrupt. this is my opinion and they should not only persecute the lasma guy alone. |
An Osogbo Chief Magistrate’s Court has remanded a 26-year-old man, Rufai Idowu, who allegedly raped and killed his 10-year-old cousin, at Ilesha Prison custody.Police Prosecutor, Inspector Abiodun Fagboyinbo, told the court that the accused allegedly committed the offence on November 4, at about 5p.m. at Oosa Compound, Ile Ogbo, in Ayedire Local Government Area of the state. He added that the accused allegedly forcefully and unlawfully raped the minor when the victim, who was on a visit, came to his room.Fagboyinbo said the accused, after raping the victim, later strangulated her with the Hijab she wore because she was calling for help.According to him, the offence is contrary to Section 316 and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.11 Laws of Osun, 2003.The plea of the accused was, however, not taken because of the nature of the offence. The presiding magistrate, Mr. Adebayo Lasisi, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha Prison custody. He subsequently adjourned the matter till January 7, 2014 for mention. source: vanguard |

Dola Indidis ,a Kenyan lawyer has filed a petition with the International Court of Justice in The Hague, claiming that the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ was unlawful, and the State of Israel among others should be held responsible, Kenyan news outlet the Nairobian reported on Friday. Indidis who is also a former spokesman of the Kenyan Judiciary is reportedly attempting to sue Tiberius (emperor of Rome, 42 BCE-37 CE), Pontius Pilate, a selection of Jewish elders, King Herod, the Republic of Italy and the State of Israel, the Jerusalem Post reported. “Evidence today is on record in the Bible, and you cannot discredit the Bible,” Indidis told the Kenyan Citizen News. Although those he suggests should have been convicted during the original trial have not been alive for more than 2,000 years, Indidis insists that the government for whom they acted can and should still be held responsible. Dola Indidis ,a Kenyan lawyer Suing Israel Over Death of Jesus “I filed the case because it’s my duty to uphold the dignity of Jesus and I have gone to the ICJ to seek justice for the man from Nazareth,” Indidis told the Nairobian. “His selective and malicious prosecution violated his human rights through judicial misconduct, abuse of office bias and prejudice.” Indidis apparently named the states of Italy and Israel in the lawsuit because upon the attainment of independence, the two states incorporated the laws of the Roman Empire, those in force at the time of the crucifixion. He is challenging the mode of questioning used during Jesus’s trial, prosecution, hearing and sentencing; the form of punishment meted out to him while undergoing judicial proceedings and the substance of the information used to convict him. The case was first filed in the High Court in Nairobi but was rejected. Indidis then applied to have it heard at the ICJ. Indidis says he wants to establish what crime Jesus was charged with and prays that the court decides “that the proceedings before the Roman courts were a nullity in law, for they did not conform to the rule of law at the material time and any time thereafter.” “Some of those present spat in his face, struck him with their fists, slapped him, taunted him, and pronounced him worthy of death,” Indidis told the Kenyan news website Standard Media (SDE). When Jesus died, Indidis insists, he was not given an opportunity to be heard. “I am suing as a friend,” he said. onatisi: mr carl, this is my last advise to u.saying all these stories will not put ur son on the next available flight to usa .this is purely a family affair and it is between u,wwunmi and ur son.when u met each other we werent there, when u got married we werent there ,and likewise when u both got seperated .it will be unwise for anyone to jump into any conclusions as per what happened between the two of u.but what we are primarily for is the money owed someone.if u think maybe these stories might bring out ur son i think u better restrategise.i must commend u though for the wonderful compromise and offerwhich u have tabled in front of wunmi but u must realize there is nothing anyone of us can do to make her accept or reject ur offer. At times i wonder if you are actually following what Mr Carl is saying, the Gentle man said he does not have her number and that they spoke througha VOIp called Magic jack, Also he wants his son and Mrs Allen has violeted a court ruling my taking the child away from the State. |

bombay: Violence is only a means to settle a difference that cannot be settled amicably.have you asked the IGBO's how they recovered from Biafra, they didn't recover that well, that is why up till today the Igbo don't really have a firm grip on the politics of this country and its looks like they don't have a say in his country |
bombay: This is a struggle to free us from the Fulani Feudal system.but must it take this route of violence and threat |
