looker: Stop deceiving yourselves, travel around east and west and know where poverty is.
Osun State has the least poverty rate in Nigeria. The SE region has the highest poverty after the North

looker: revive your poor ekiti first.
Even Ekiti is being revived its GDP has almost doubled in one year. If you take away the GDP of Lagos from that of the SW(although Yoruba companies and multinationals make up most of Lagos's GDP), the rest of the SW states still have a higher GDP than the whole of the landlocked and erosion ravaged SE states

Yoruba sense vs Igbo sense

Sixth sense vs Nonsense

Yoruba thinking and reasoning is far superior

looker: Even a single yoruba man cannot condenm what fashola did, that highlights yoruba tribalism.
The reason you are in Lagos is because since 1999 when we returned to democratic rule, Lagos and other Yoruba states have made their region advance and built infrastructure to encourage investments. That's why you hear of Oyo State's GDP being higher than that of any SE state or that monthly IGR of Ogun is almost N4bn which is three times higher than the highest IGR or any SE state

This is what the Yorubas do better and don't tell me we are what we are because of you because GDP stats for Lagos shows that more than 90% of the GDP comes from sectors dominated by Yorubas and some multinationals

So its just in our DNA. We are light years ahead. Live with it

igbobuigbo: Fake. There is no current official data about GDP that is reliable. Wait for the new one to come soon before you brag.

Please go to the site of First bank, remove all the non-Yorubas on the board and management (board/management = largest shareholders) and see what remains and compare it to other banks in Nigeria. Only then can you say FBN is Yoruba Bank.
[b]Very funny about FirstBank which is Yoruba owned and controlled. Ownership has little to do with the management team. Are you a learner? Talk about GTBank then. The only wholly Igbo bank is Fidelity and it is inconsequential in the industry. Even Zenith Bank has heavy Yoruba interests. It's when statistics don't favor you that you will say trash. Here's more for you on Lagos:

Seven different sectors dominate economic activities in Lagos State, led by manufacturing which, interestingly, contributes 29.60 percent of the state’s GDP figures. Road transport follows closely contributing an average of 26.47 percent of economic activities in the state.

Other sectors in order of dominance include building and construction (19.60 percent); wholesale and retail (8.39 percent); telecommunications (3.71 percent); financial institutions (3.51 percent); and real estate (2.01 percent).

The seven sectors account for 93.39 percent of economic activities in the state.

Apart from wholesale and retail which I believe Yorubas control up to 50% of, none of the other sectors listed is controlled by any other tribe apart from the Yorubas

nwando: Another ignoramus talking
What is desolate about Igboland?

Is Akure better than Enugu?
Is Oshogbo better than Umuahia
Is Okitipupa better than Uzuakoli
Is Ibadan more sophisticated than Onitsha?
Is it Abeokuta that has a better standard than Owerri?
Is Ibadan cleaner or richer than Aba?
Please spare us these tired lines of lies we have heard for ages
The same way you claim to go to school more than others and JAMB proved you wrong 7 years in a row
The same Nigerian stats tell us Aba,Onitsha ,Lagos and PH have 90% of the cash flow in Nigeria
Guess where the business in Lagos and PH are mainly from
Keep parroting hand me down tales

As you speak sef about 25 luxurious buses have arrived Lagos full of Igbos
We ain't going no where
You wanted one Nigeria
We are Nigerians

Deal with it,your choice
To start with Ogun generates N4bn monthly. Anambra doesn't generate a third of that in IGR. The GDP of Oyo is higher than that of any state in the SE. The same Oyo State's landmass is as large as all the SE states combined. Deal with it. Come with your buses, drain your states of its manpower and impoverish your states. You will leave with little or nothing when the time comes
PoliticsRe: Documents Show Lagos Informed Anambra Government Before Alleged Deportation by obitwo: 4:59pm On Aug 02, 2013
Obiagu1: Governor Obi had claimed in the protest letter that "Lagos State did not even bother to consult with Anambra State authorities, before deporting 72 persons considered to be of Igbo extraction to Anambra State, is illegal, unconstitutional and a blatant violation of the human rights of these individuals and of the Nigerian Constitution."

What is the lie in the above statement made by Gov. Obi?
It's either you can't read, or can't comprehend or you're just dim witted. Has to be one of the three
PoliticsRe: Documents Show Lagos Informed Anambra Government Before Alleged Deportation by obitwo: 4:52pm On Aug 02, 2013
You can never be smarter than a Yoruba man.

Obi has proven that he lacks documentation, consultation but just runs to the Press with no facts or substance

Obi must be really feeling stewpeed right now ... if he has seen this

BRF's IQ = 141
Obi's IQ = Still searching

Nebeuwa: What is next my South-West friends? Will you be taking your economic warfare to "Igbo owned" banks?

Or will they get a pass, since most of them are run by Delta Igbos?
FirstBank, GTBank, Wema, FCMB, Ecobank, Sterling are Yoruba controlled and owned. Even Zenith bank has major Yoruba interests. You can eat your Fidelity and Diamond. Two of the least performing banks. We know why

geeez: We are not envious because we are successful

If you look at the GDP of Lagos, trading doesn't make up to 10% of it

What we see are malls and shops where authentic merchandise are sold and not fake and adulterated items these guys flood our markets with

Before the year runs out you will not only be ejected from the shops but be transported to the east to either reunite with your families or set up another Ladipo Market there

To think that Obi has not even called BRF to complain is shocking

So with N20bn they will keep quiet

PoliticsIgbos Support(ed) Mass 'deportation' From Lagos by obitwo(op):
Back in May 2011 when the news about the 'deportation' of over 3,000 people from Lagos to other states in the SW and North broke, a lot of Igbo nairalanders made fun of Yorubas and Hausas while applauding the move

That thread didn't go beyond two pages

It's however shocking how many threads have been opened following the planned reunion of 72 destitute Igbos with their families

I will attach screenshots showing Igbo people's comments, expressing support for BRF but the same people just two years and 72 people after are now hypocritically calling for Fashola's head

ITbomb: The port in Port Harcourt or even Calabar does not have enough depth to accomodate big ocean going container vessel mostly used for importations. It can be dredged but it would be at monumental cost but Ibaka has a natural deep port that just slope steeply from the continental shelf.

That is why Lagos is moving and others dont and that is also why it is expected that Ibaka will take the pressure off Lagos
That's a fat lie. Have you heard of or seen an FPSO before?

They can sail in PH's waters

in the past we didnt do biz like the ibos.
Biz places and markets were designated for such activities not any open spaces, road sides and residential frontals.
We must remind them of the Adebowale Electronics of this world and other worldclass businesses

Igbos came in with fake and substandard items which completely rubbished the business of electronics in Nigeria

I see Ladipo one day becoming a mall ten times the size of the Palms Mall, with decent stores for authentic automobile parts

It is not far from us and we can achieve it

Tony Spike: All I just wanna say is this:

I love the Lagos traffic during christmas/New year period...more organised, road-friendly and less pollution. This is my dream of Lagos!

As for this traffic, this argument aboutdon tire me...Wallahi grin
People make it seem as if its only the Igbos that travel at Xmas

Of recent, I've noticed that a lot of them actually do not

However, other tribes that constitute Lagos also have people that travel. Most Bini people travel and same for a lot of Yorubas as well as Hausas

So should the population of Lagos drop by 30% during the festive seasons (when a lot of people are on their annual vacation, even those that remain in Lagos), just realize that a good number of Yorubas account for the drop

Nkemtreasure: Even if one is to agree with you which I don't think, who would use these services when they are provided? Nigerians I believe and not the Yorubas I suppose. If we have only MDS/CEOS and ther are no people at d front desk, production rooms, offices etc. I think there will be no services provided. So between the A and Z, there is always B to Y. We can't say that Igbos or Yorubas or hausa runs the economy of any were but tge truth be told, if the Igbos relocate from Lagos the so called GDP will crash.
Like I posted earlier, up to or more than 50% of blue chip companies have Yoruba as staff

Those positions that will be vacant can easily be filled with people from the region in the diaspora who are under employed or employed.

Agreed the population will drop but the infrastructure will be scarcely stretched and the existing infrastructure will enable migration for development back to the status quo and even further
